Hey real cool video man! I used to live in Tin Town, on the last street, and I’d walk to the elementary school. I still remember playing hockey on that outdoor rink!
    I lived there from 1975-1980.

I lived in Beaver from 1957 to 1960, then in Tin Town. Lived on the corner as you turned up to Mackenzie from 1974-1985.
Was hard to se such a change.😢

wow what a blast from the past. Lived there from 1981-85. It was a bustling place back then. 5000 people living on base.
Shame to see how much it has changed

I've been living in Cold Lake since November, so it was really cool to see not only what it looked like 10 years ago but also to hear what it was like years before. Especially Martineau, since it's empty and some of the houses are gone now. Thanks for sharing this!

Thank you for uploading this! We're posted to Cold Lake this year and it really helps knowing a little bit of what it looks like! This was uploaded in 2014- I wonder what it looks like now!

Lived there late ‘50s - early ’60s after coming back from Metz. Has changed fair bit since then.

Man that was a trip. I was born there and lived in Beaver and then Mackenzie from 1989-2000. Haven't been back since but this brought some memories back.

Thanks for posting your video. I haven't seen Cold Lake since 1965 when my Dad was posted there. Good to see it again. I loved listening to your narration. Some of the things you described like Tin Town and the Canex. Sure brings back memories. Do you know if the old PMQ's from the 1960's are still standing? I must take a trip back there myself before it's too late. Thanks again. 🍻🇨🇦👍🏻

5:16 thats the hill we used to toboggan on, my house was just off the picture to the right. Some how that hill just doesn't look as impressive as it did when I was a kid in the 60's. A lot of those houses in McKenzie still look to be the originals, note the dormers built into the roof line, they don't do that anymore. If you ever do another of these I would really like to see a drive through of Beaver.
