Sooooo real!
I'm happy that someone survived 🥰
-someone- *everyone*
SOMEONE??????
Propeller: Aight. Imma bout to head out. Good luck fam.
Propeller b like:
"Screw this, I don't want 2 go 2 Seattle. I'm outie, peace."
Prop really went : I need a dip
I remember a plane in south Vietnam flying with no engines and landed
Great video! I was so interested in this video. Smithsonian always posts great content! )
ok
@maxifly i agree!
There should be part 2 of it surely.
There is a full video somewhere on YT. These Smithsonian air videos don't tell the full story. However, this incident is well worth finding the full story video.
....later that night the mechanic who installed the prop is emptying his pockets and a large lock nut washer falls out of his pocket. Wife says, "Ernie, what's this?" Ernie replied, "oh crap!!!"
Ernie's still looking for a job. He found one, repairing kids bike's!
The propeller just kinda leaves
lol yeah
I am fascinated by these airplane accidents/incedents
I'll see how fascinated you are when you're in one of these planes.

@@outofthebox9699 if so, then it means they survived the incident cause they wrote off their comment here 😂
Probably ripped off by a local polar bear! Nothing's safe when those things are around! Lol! 🙄
2:43 That is a very strange buzzing sound inside the plane!!!
Something went wrong of propellor is ripped off engine number four into the cabin the passengers
Where is the full episode???
Im glad that it didnt get ripped and everyone survived😊
Is there any one knows how to find the complete video...?
3:58 and 3:57 is where the prop failed
That s why u need 4 engines.
5hrs that’s long haul prop wise
and then ... what happened next ??
they manage to land with no casualties in anchorage after a long struggle to control the plane with brute force, the propeller was never found due to dropping in the ocean so it was never determined how/why it fell off in the first place
Then? did they survive??
Ye
Propeller* actually.
I THINK THAT GEARBOX SHAFT AND BEARING ISSUES ITS FLEW LIKE A TOY PROPELLER
what episode is this from Air Disasters
yeah
Season 4 Ep. 1 "Fight For Control" If you have Paramount Plus you can see it.
ok
I always thought that people with glasses are not allowed to become pilots.
Can someone confirm?
Hey there, people with glasses are allowed to become pilots as long as they can exhibit 20/20 vision with the glasses on and they wear the glasses at all times during flight. Contact lenses and Lasik surgery is also allowed. Color vision for pilots is somewhat more complicated. In many cases color blind individuals are limited to flying during the day in clear weather, however you still may be able to fly if you can distinctly tell signals being flashed from a light gun from a ATC tower at night. Hope this answer helps.
I should add that these are the regulations in the US and I am not sure about other countries.
