I am also still relatively young, and seeing people way in their 50ies and 60ies lose their parents is somehow more...you know, normal. I just wished I could have had more time, but he lived in another country and it wasn't always convenient to do trips either way. Getting a huge box of photographs of me and him when I was a child, and old newspaper articles about him two weeks after his death hit me right in the feels. I just miss him, but talking about it makes it easier, you know. Hope you are doing well, continue being awesome. For dads everywhere.
Never listened to critics anyhow. My son-in-law just committed suicide 2 weeks ago. I have heard this song before but never listened to the words....until now. I'm sitting at my desk at work, literally crying. This song has never been more real. He used to ALWAYS make people laugh but he was always fighting his demon, depression. He was 37. Devastating loss. I'll never get over it. As if this was not enough, June 22, 2018, almost 1 month later, my 36 year old son died. Parents are NOT supposed to bury their children!!! I can't express the amount of pain we've been in.

They were both believers in that goodbye means forever, so it was always “see you later”. I’ll see you again in time, mom and Devon. I love you two so fucking much.

I've friends and family all over the world and I've been blowing up their phones asking how they're doing and wondering if they're safe, I keep thinking I'm going to wake to a dreadful text one of these days to add another scar to an already enormous pile which never seems to heal or even fade. I still haven't held my six month old nephew because of travel restrictions. I understand it's all ofr safety reasons but it doesn't make things like that suck any less, knowing I'll miss things like his first word, his first step. It breaks my heart.

My grandmother died last year, a day after my birthday, she was a great person, sure, she was a bit more old school and strict, but I loved here either way and I'm glad I got to see her for the last time, even though she was not able to respond that day, can't wait to see her after my own time of dying, I know she's watching. Thank you grandma for helping me change how I behaved, because in low terms, I was a total prick to mostly everyone.

My brother included about 3 years ago while in college; due to covid I couldn't go and there was no funeral. People need to understand suicide is one of the most selfish acts u can commit, if a person feels there is no reason for them to live then they can at the very least live for another and then find a better reason for themselves while doing that. Its not even an escape from anything, it very likely just condemns you n that's one of the saddest parts having a loved one do such a thing because it feels like they didn't even want to live for you. I don't know this person/people but clearly they weren't in the right mind at all, or quite possibly they wanted attention and accidentally finished themselves off. N theres no going back 9nce its done. So you can be a better example than them now, knowing this.

This will be my new exercise song in memory of my husband who died of cancer after being diagnosed only two weeks before his death. He was my love ever since I was 10 years old...We were married for 23 wonderful years. 😢❤️

My Grandmother passed about four years ago in a car accident and my Brother was Shot and Killed about a month ago, I didn’t get to say Goodbye to either one of them, I still feel as if there was no closure and their Souls are just stuck in the crossroads, trying to find Heaven as they were Both Good, Loving Christian People, to them and to others that I have loved and lost and those that you have loved and lost, I say, Rest In Peace and You are Loved and Will Never be Forgotten. People need to understand suicide is one of the most selfish acts u can commit, if a person feels there is no reason for them to live then they can at the very least live for another and then find a better reason for themselves while doing that. Its not even an escape from anything, it very likely just condemns you n that's one of the saddest parts having a loved one do such a thing because it feels like they didn't even want to live for you. I don't know this person/people but clearly they weren't in the right mind at all, or quite possibly they wanted attention and accidentally finished themselves off. N theres no going back 9nce its done. So you can be a better example than them now, knowing this.

Without her he wouldn't be the man I have so much respect for.
I probably would never have known him if he hadn't married her. Hadn't adopted her two boys I went to high school with. Hadn't had two more children, one of which I hung with for years later. One of which I've been becoming friends with now.
Today was (Arthur) Garrick's 71st birthday. His first since her passing October 24th, 2019 after some 47 years of marriage.
My heart is breaking for him today.
But...if he truly has the faith I think he does... he'll remember this life...is only the beginning...

After seeing my beloved grandmother {literally} zipped up into a body bag shortly after my 6th birthday...& then the sudden death of my dad just 11 years later & the suicide of my husband & ... now still mourning the loss of my 'big' brother in 9/13 at the age of 55 , I long ago stopped saying the word 'goodbye' & instead ONLY say 'Later' or 'See You Later' with the added words of I. LOVE. YOU.
I am so very happy that those were the very last words I texted to my bro the day before he died!
As for hearing his laughter, I am SO fortunate that I saved his voice mails & now have them recorded on ... cassette tapes... {I know, I'm older than dirt} so I can now strap on the headphones & the Walkman & listen to his precious voice as often as I need to!
