- Our favorite Filipino-Korean couple, Kring and Jimmy got to enjoy Cebu for a workation! Kring hosted the K-Cultre Next Door 2024 Korea Festival by the Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines and the Korean Embassy but they also stayed a fee more days to enjoy one of the most favorite places of tourists in the Philippines. But what was their experience like and what was Jimmy’s impression of Cebu as a Korean? Find out in this new episode of All Things K!

Experienced working in Cebu for 10 months and it is indeed true they are more comfortable communicating in english than tagalog. And their seafood is one of the best in the philippines. Ung mga seafood na normally nakikita natin sa mga restaurant dito sa manila sa cebu makikita mo lang sa mga turo turo. And super ganda ng dagat nila.
Marami talaga kasing younger gens sa Cebu kasi aside na tourist spots, is maraming younger gens na sila nag wowork for their family not just people from Cebu but also sa mga galing sa ibang places like Mindanao and other neighboring islands or regions
The difference between Cebu vs Manila is that Cebu got the best of both worlds, nature and a modern city.

may direct flight din kasi incheon to cebu at incheon to bohol plus sa mga kdramas laging binabanggit ang cebu for vacations as compared to boracay, ive watched like 3-4 kdramas mentioning Cebu.

For us bisaya native speakers, it is more convenient for us to speak english than tagalog, we're more comfortable to switch in english kesa tagalog, like hindi kami ganun kaganda pakinggan mag tagalog

Marunong naman kami magtagalog pero di lang yung derederetso pag sasalita kasi we need to translate bisaya to tagalog sa utak namin.

yes, there's a lot of koreans who stay in mactan, near the beach resorts.. like you would thought you're not in Cebu
In Maribago, Mactan particularly, its like a korean town. More korean shops and restos than local restos. And halos mas marami kang makikitang Korean than Pinoy. Madami kasong 5 star hotels and resorts dun and the MCIA airport is just on the same island.

Try visiting Camotes Island too. It's not heavily commercialized but maraming beach dun. Marami ding caves.
Malalim ang bisaya ng CEBU compare sa bisaya ng Davao. Parang same lang sa TAGALOG ng MANILA malalim siya. Saka marami ako napanood na interview sa mga CELEBRITY foreign artist pagtinanong sila..saang LuGar gusto nila mag UNWIND sa PINAS CEBU ang kadalasang napipili lalo sa mga Oppa..agree po sa mas maraming PRETTY sa CEBU compare sa Manila..dyan ako unang na AMAZE nung unang punta ko ng CEBU.

cebuano or bisaya people in general kasi dont really speak tagalog in a conversational way kasi growing up we only speak tagalog during filipino class or buwan ng wika lang. Or if someone from tagalog region visits the visayas or mindanao. english is spoken in most subjects, may english only policy pa ibang school. then the vendors naman here adapt speaking english kasi maraming foreigners so english at bisaya lang ang na hasa na language to speak.

I think Cebu is a melting pot of mixture of neighbouring islands that of visayas and Mindanao.
Well so many high rise in Manila because it is the capital and infrastructure projects is concerned it is more implemented in the capital than in other provinces in Philippines. Each province has to request for budget in which the imperial Manila steps in to whether grant the budget or not for the infrastructure project for example the reason why Manila looks so advanced compared other regions don’t have train as a mode of transportation.

As a local in Cebu I observed many Chinese and Spanish families settled in Cebu could be the population is better looking but looks is subjective but I felt the opposite when I get older I found more beautiful ladies in Manila than in Cebu 😅

It is always the misconception that for example, Kapampangan, Ilonggo or Cebuano languages are called "dialects". They are not. They are languages. Dialects are within a certain language in the Philippines. For example, Tagalog - Batangueno, Tagalog - Bulakenyo etc.
