I thought I'd heard all the X-Minus 1 episodes but I don't remember this one 🤷♀️ Thanks for posting.
One of the finest writers from the Sci-fi Golden Age - Clifford D. Simak. He sure is my favorite writer.
So In love with sci fi radio drama. thank you
Fantastic ! I love these old sci fi stories . hmm.. but the irony is that over indulgence in alcohol can cause memory loss !!
I was going to leave a comment but I couldn't remember how to do it 😆 Great radio drama 👍
He's reverted to ...babyhood!
Mr. Scott from Star Trek would embrace this assignment.
Finally a space mission I can handle!
Here's mud into you intergalactic eye balls lol. Liked that phrase.
⚡Holy Jumping Asteroids, Batman!⚡
I have compared the actual story in writing to this radio broadcast. They are pretty different to me, I get that the story to be adapted to the shorter radio format, but the ending seems quite different in this radio version.
nice twist
Alcohol saves the day again...in fiction. If only life was that simple.
'Were' that simple, but English isn't taught these days, is it?
@@paulbennett772 "Was" is also acceptable. Perhaps you need a refresher in English grammar before trying to insult others.
@@Eidolon1andOnly
Acceptable to who? And where's the insult?
@@Eidolon1andOnly 'were' is for impossibilities. 'If only I were a bird.' 'was' is for possibilities. 'If only I was drunker.' 'were' is better in that sentence.
@@sebastianmelmoth9100 According to whom? A lot of so called "rules" in English aren't actually rules, but highly used preferences, such as "never end a sentence with a preposition".
No wonder I can't remember sh!7........
Us alcoholics always save the day🤙👍

Booze! ... That's the answer!!

This one's pretty dated. Like if you took the cast from Dragnet and performed a Sci-fi radio drama.
Absurd, I am sorry I wasted my time.
Regrettably, I have to agree. Overloaded my suspension of disbelief rather badly, even allowing for the time period it was written in. A shame, I generally enjoy Simak's work. Also that ending..."something a million light-years old..." Seriously? Simak's gone all Lucas on us there.
