    Was the bread already vegan?

      @@EzeShopping Yes! The bread rolls on airplanes are generally vegan. Sometimes they print the list of ingredients on the package as well which is always nice. But usually they mostly contain wheat, water, salt, yeast, maybe dextrose and some stabilizers. No egg or dairy. It's unlikely to be not vegan but they do contain some e-numbers (e.g. emulsifier E472e) which can be derived from plants or animals. This is nothing that you can easily ask the crew, it should be asked at the manufacturer directly but that is quite difficult and as we wrote earlier, rather unlikely.
