I bought the Supercalibre back early 2020 and it’s the best bike I have rode! Fitted a dropper post and it’s the best all round bike now 👍
I'm assuming that you could add a dropper to the procaliber too?

I have a 2020 9.9 Supercaliber and bought a 2021 white Procal frame, built it up with XTR! This bike climbs better than the Supercal, but the Supercal is a lot faster on single track! Love both bikes!

Just pre order this baby (Procaliber 9.5) in M/L since I'm 1,78m from a local shop near my city, Porto for 1889€. It's really hard to get bikes nowadays here in Portugal cause of the pandemic: everyone seems to have time to ride bikes and usually orders take months if available at all, but.. I got one! Can't wait for it to arrive next friday!!

@@robschafer2723 Even without covid theres always delays. Ordered a Large Fuel Ex in September 2019 still took 2+ months before I got my hands on it.

Fantastic, but hughe delivery problems in the Netherlands. Delivery times up to 9 months. Unacceptable!
More people are riding bikes today than ever before which is great in the long-term for our country, but this increased demand caused a shortage of bikes! We're working hard to get them out quick!

The frame of my procaliber 9.7 2020. (OCLV) cracked on the seat stay section, because the wind made im fall when i was washing it!!! And you speak about robustness? And the fact that Trek refuse to replace it makes me extremely angry against Trek. The solution is 20% on a new frame available in may 2022!!!This video does not reflect my experience with Trek at all. This bike was a big investment for me, and 1 year later i cant ride anymore. Is there really nothing more you can do?

All depends on your riding style and the type of XC trails you ride. Both are fast race-proven XC bikes!
Depends! I would say my SC is a better bike for cross country, and the Procal is better for smooth trails and dirt roads in Michigan.

I wish someone could do 2021 Trek procaliber 9.5 vs specilized epic hardtail!
So I currently have my name on the list for a 2021 Procaliber 9.7 and I'm told by my local bike shop that I can't expect to see it before November. I realize that it's nobody's fault but I hate knowing that I'm about to drop 4 grand on a bike that in ordinary circumstances will have already been outdated by the 2022 models. The sales person I spoke with has assured me that the "ripple effect" that has occurred in the industry will essentially push the roll out of the new models to a later date. Can someone from Trek offer any clarification to this before I reach the 6 month deadline for cancelling my order? At this point I don't have any reason to suspect that I'm getting bad information, but this theory all hinges on whether or not Specialized, Canyon, BMC, Niner, and everybody else will all patiently wait to pull the trigger on their new releases. I'm no marketing expert but I do know that generally speaking "newer is better" and the temptation to be the first with the newest is going to be tough to avoid.
Don't get me wrong, I'm sticking with the Procaliber, whichever year model it ends up being. I'm just trying to avoid any potential future resentments.

Luckily, the Procaliber will remain the same for 2022 as we just launched the updated model in August this past summer - so rest assured you will have the most current version!
@@trekbikes Good enough for me! Thanks for the quick response. And yeah, from what I've heard, Shimano and SRAM are having a tough time keeping everyone adequately stocked with components. My trusty Xcaliber is still keeping me on the trails for now so I'm not complaining.
And for the record, the bike I'm really dreaming about is the Supercaliber. But that's a discussion for another day 😊
@@mmj7700 I'm in the same boat as you, somewhat. I put a down payment on a 9.7 today at my local Trek store. The ETA for delivery is sometime in July, however my LBS is going to try get one traded from CA to NC. The July delivery date made me question the release date of the 2022's. With Trek's response to you, I feel somewhat better. I currently have a 2021 Procal 9.5 and I love the bike. However I've decided to sell my 2021 FX6 because I just gravitate to the Procal more for spontaneous rides. It handles all terrain very, very well and it's quick! I hope there is a noticeable difference between the 9.5 and 9.7. Time will tell.
@@link-world Well now I'm thoroughly perplexed. I just followed up with my LBS last week (coincidentally in NC as well, Wilmington to be precise). They sympathized with my eagerness but stood by their original forecast for November and a down payment wouldn't do anything in terms of shortening the ETA. Unfortunately it looks like the Procal will simply have to remain an elusive goal for now as I've chosen another option. I won't elaborate here out of respect for the venue but it turned out to be a pretty sweet deal. Good luck with your quest.
@@mmj7700 Thanks for your prior response. I got a call from my local Trek shop today and they were able to trade with CA. That means I'll be getting my 9.7 within a couple weeks instead of many months out. I also stopped in and rode the 9.7 at my local Trek store, M frame, would've been perfect if it was a L frame. The difference between the 9.5 and 9.7 is noticed immediately. The 9.7 is just hands down lighter and quicker off the line and in general riding. Inventory is out of this world scarce but fortunately, my shop in NC was able to secure a trade with the shop in CA.

@@Browne7100 Unfortunately BMC and Canyon distributors are not available here otherwise many would go for Canyon. Trek has distributors however no stock since Lockdown.
What travel does it allow the tail to have ?
I would venture a guess of 10-20mm
(nothing for a FS but a crazy lot for a HT)
