Never seen you before in my life, I was scrolling past my recommended at a pretty fast rate and when I saw your thumbnail at a glance I thought Murr from Impractical Jokers started his own channel.
Ive owned A Moto G8 plus since Christmas day and I remember watching reviews of the G7 plus from the same guy and I got the g8 which was a very nice surprise and I've not had any issues with the phone and taken some very nice photos in my opinion and the speakers are ace it feels like surround sound almost due to the speaker on the bottom and above the notch at the top of the screen the phone itself runs ver fast and smooth especially going from a Samsung S6 to The G8 the battery is very good and I don't have to worry about how much is left and mobile games run smooth and look good (does depend on WiFi etc obviously) also in video configuration the action cam setting is really useful especially for filming sports and the whole experience is very nice and intuitive would recommend for sure

I was very surprised this phone was announced now and honestly didn't see it coming until MWC 2020. However I am pleased to see it arrive early. It seems like a good phone on first impression.

absolutely right guys. i use moto phones purely for this reason , designs are cool, pure stock android, and of course reception is better. and also motorola inveneted mobile phones
So the charging is only 15w on the G8 Plus? That's a huge step backwards from the G7 Plus with its rapid 27w charging. I'm a huge Motorola fan but thinking it's about time to upgrade to a OnePlus 7T.
@@jacobsebastien3910 Is it? All the specs I had seen so far had said 15w. Even 18w is a significant downgrade. The rapid 27w charging was by far one of the Moto G7 Plus selling points!
I have the moto g5s plus and it's great! Does everything I need plus more! I'm not too worried about it dropping (I'm a clutz) but it has lasted me two years now. That's what I call value for money! Can't wait for it to launch in the Philippines! Gonna get it for sure!

I used to have the G7 power and it was a damn good phone. I switched to At&t and got the galaxy note 10 plus which is a massive upgrade over it lol but still for what it is you couldn't beat it at its price point.. so in sure the G8 is also gonna be a truly amazing mid tier device
Richard the Nokia 7.2 will disappoint in the camera department. I have the Nokia 7.1 and the camera is mediocre. Not even one camera update since I bought it in March. From the initial reviews I have seen on the 7.2 the low light photography doesn't look too great. Personally I would go with a Motorola or perhaps even the upcoming Vodafone X10 if you are in the market for a decent budget smartphone. Just my two cents. Sorry to but in to your question to Chris.
I had the moto z2 play. Fucking loved it. It eventually busted from falling in the lake. But prior to its demise, it has been dropped numerous times, at heights ranging from 3 - 15 ft. Water drops as well, STILL WORKED. Now, I rock the Blu Vivo xi+..... Best cheap phone period. This phones camera, is siiick. Also phone comes with 6gb ram, 128gb rom, octa 2.6ghz and gpu is 630. 💪🏻
Seems like a step backwards in a few areas compared to the G7 Plus:- No Gorilla Glass, Plastic Back, No OIS, Charger is smaller, phone is a bit thicker and heavier. Right now I have an unopened G7 Plus so I have to decide, send it back and get the G8 Plus or stick with the G7 Plus.
I had no problem with this phone as its beats my old Huawei phone and plus it runs Android 10 without any problems, also this is a pocket sound system as I love the stereo speakers on it.
What do you think? G8 Plus or Pixel 3a? From your experience of usage? Speed? Smoothness of the OS, etc. And software updates experience? I heard Moto is a bit slow in that aspect. Thank you! :D
@@IsaRaelene I've survived more than a few drops that sounded like something would be cracked. The G7 series is definitely durable. I have the G7 Power and my only issue is the speaker seems to be a bit quiet unless you turn it up to like 70%+ volume

no, this is not Android One. Moto G series always came with one guaranteed OS version update. This one should be guaranteed to Android 10 but I am not sure as this broke the G series cycle.

There is some drama going on at DJI forums as the fly app for the popular new DJI Mavick Mini drone is incompatible with many smartphones. G8 plus is somewhere said to be the first Moto for which this app is able to run. Could you please try out and confirm if this app runs on this phone? The app is called DJI Fly.

Great specs on sheet, but it was buggy as fuck and overheated :/ also had to spend a week before I got it setup properly... so many features was disabled or missing. Didnt even show the number of notifications on the different app icons and would launch apps randomly while I was typing an SMS... too bad, cause otherwise I really wanted to like it
I like Moto G phones but a couple of things disappoint me with this edition. 1. The notch. I'd rather they made the screen slightly shorter or re-positioned the camera so it didn't intrude. 2. The option to use two sims OR one sim with an SD card. On the Moto G6 you can have two sims AND an SD card. This is a backward step. I was looking to update my phone with a G8 phone when they came out but this phone isn't doing it for me.
