I'm passing along a tip from another stamper: If you have smaller pieces of somthing, you can attach a piece of scrap card stock to what you want to cut, with temporary tape to let you hold the little pieces while you cut them, which will protect fingers! I think that's such a brilliant idea and so simple. I enjoy coloring different races' skin tones. It's a lot of fun to me to do that. I have several stamps with children of all races and I love them.
Nice cards! Lots of good ideas here. Thank you! I have acquired all the necessary pieces-parts (I think) and soon will sit down to create some cards. 🤞
I have a guillotine trimmer that I absolutely love but I have the same issue... Not being able to cut half or quarter inch strips from smaller strips. I use a post-it note on the edge of that strip as a handle and chop away. Just stick the sticky part (I didn't know how else to say that😂) on the left edge of your strip and then you can slide it under the blade without getting your fingers.
Going for your templates now. I have 2 12 x12 12 days of Christmas pads, similar to Echo Park Christmas Magic. I was stumped, until I found your Templates. What a Christmas present. Thanks .
Oh, hey! I got a Christmas critter stamp and die set because critters are so useful for osw cards but I really hate coloring. Those kraft moose/reindeer pointed out for me that I can just stamp my Christmas moose set onto kraft paper, die cut them and call it done. So stinkin’ cute! Thanks for solving that problem for me.
Your video was inspirational and so informative with tips. Your teaching style is much appreciated. Thank you for your time in making this video. I love the red/green/white colour theme (I am a traditionalist). I loved every card you made with this paper pad. Happy Thanksgiving. From Canada 🇨🇦 Jo
Hi , I know you made this video last year, but I just bought this year, the Echo Park Magic of Christmas paper pack, stickers, 6x6 and 12x12 as I usually make over 100 cards a year and send out. It's fun to see you do this and I definitely will use some of these ideas! I love your theme of no scrap cardmaking! I need to do more of that!! Thanks for doing this video!
I bought this pad and the sticker sheet. I’ve been working on my “special” Christmas cards for the moment and will move on to this one in a few weeks. Will save this video to come back to. Had been thinking about your osw for this.
Hey Jess, first I love your idea's! I couldn't download your 6x6 templates? I'm not sure why. Thanks for all you do. Please help me. I love your cards!❤
HI Tiffany! Thanks! Not sure why it's not showing for you but I just checked and it's there. Here's the link to the blog post: jesscrafts.com/blog/echo-park-christmas-magic/
Hi. I love how you explain how you create your cards. Where do you get your layout templates from? I usually just go what feels right but sometimes it would be nice to just have a guide. Especially because I hope to start selling my cards.
I have used a Swingline guillotine trimmer for many years and I have really liked it. Here's a video where I talk a bit more about the trimmer: ruclips.net/video/HK-iciLUEDQ/видео.html
I am a bit confused - HOW?WHERE do I get the actual layouts that you use here? I clicked on the "blog" link. but not sure how to get the "I used this piece of paper with THIS layout and I used this piece of paper and embellishments etc. with this OTHER layout". I really like your RESULTS, but I have no idea how to do that same thing myself - HELP !!!
On the blog I show a picture of the finished card(s) which will be how you know which paper and which embellishment are used and underneath most of them is a link to template that tells you how to cut the paper and cardstock with a sketch to show you how to assemble it. I don't get specific such as use the green paper with this fairy because the photos show which paper and embellishment, but also because many times people aren't using the exact paper pad or embellishments. If you are attempting to recreate the cards one for one, I would recommend starting with all the designs that list a 'one sheet wonder' under them as those are the most specific with their directions.

You amaze me, it takes me forever just to do one card.
Now I know the inspiration I am taking for my Magic of Christmas mega pad…ty Jess

I didn’t get your reason as to why you didn’t want to use holiday wishes and reindeer wishes.
The sentiment is Holiday Kisses and Reindeer Wishes. I do not think the "Kisses" part of the sentiment is appropriate for my use case.
