- For the first time, I present a Walk And Talk Through Shenmue 2! But with me? and the games in Japanese!?
I had a lot of requests from people asking if I could do these games in Japanese. Of course the Dreamcast version of Shenmue 2 was only released in Japanese so I figured why not do my first commentary on the second game in Japanese. Not that I had much of a choice haha!
Hope you all enjoy and thanks again 😄 oh and please excuse some of my commentary I got a bit carried away haha 🤣

This video is meant for enjoying the world that is Shenmue. More so an emersion into the world. Starting in the morning and ending in the evening. Will explore more in future videos for sure!
Slow downs/stuttering happening a lot more for me in Shenmue 2. Zoom not as smooth as Shenmue 1. I promise I am holding the left trigger firmly to zoom but the camera freaks out for no reason occasionally.
Just a simple walk, no real interactions with people. Seeing the sights and sounds as the world passes by.
Why make videos like this? It's just something I've wanted to have to play in the background or just relax watching Ryo on a walk through one of my favorite video games.
No set agenda or challenge to worry about. I hope you enjoy. Glitches/Errors/Slowdowns all included. Doing the best to make something with limited tech hehe.

I know I can't, but still to this day, whenever I play Shenmue 2, I always want to cross the street and head to the building with the British flags, the Grand Hotel or the Dragon Hotel; I think Joy mentions it in a cutscene.
I do believe your right she ribs Ryo about staying at such a rich place and yeah seeing so much traffic and people over there I want to get across and just look down the alley and see inside 😄

Yeah 2 is just insane with how big they could make it feel. Always felt so overwhelmed the first time I played it coming off of 1.

For sure, sometimes I'll just do chores around the house and whatnot while some of these uploads play on my living room television. So it's cool hearing some commentary, also!

Really interesting your walks commented
if there's one game where it's interesting to do this and analyze the atmosphere and attention to detail in a relaxed way, it's shenmue 1 and 2, which is packed with thousands of little details that you don't necessarily notice when you play the game normally (mainly while running).

You got that right my friend. Early on I ran but when I would stop to look around for a location I realized I missed so much stuff! After that I just walk and never went back 😉

I can't remember this book store. Looks so awesome. On shenmue 1 I know all stores completely but shenmue 2 is so big you can't know all I think 😅

I can definitely see that! The pine tree reference I mean and of course it goes along with Bell Wood for the drinks in Shenmue 1 👍👍👍
