I was clapping when he said this to her. She was basically questioning his character. He's always the one bending over backwards for her. Now it's her turn. Let's see how she goes about earning his trust back.
This is a long & rough one to try & come back from. If he couldn’t count on her to know him, who would. He had just had the day from pure hell..........all thanks to Disco Bob. I’m sure he couldn’t see straight when it was all over. Not to mention what’s going through his head about his father. He’s beyond pissed.
She was in the past she left the good guy for him.

However, he never gave him information that could harm the unit or any of his peers. Which if Antonio did, he did not waste time pointing to Voight; but he did kill the one who kidnapped his daughter and then gave it to him very correctly, and who blamed him for that? Adams

Kim is so wrong... and it bothers me that she tried to justify her suspicions. He was just venting... she should have known him better than to think he would honestly kill someone in cold blood. Good luck with coming back from that one, Kim... smh

this scene hurt me so bad. adam has obviously wanted kim back for a while and she was resistant, understandable considering what she went through with the miscarriage and fostering a child. but for her to question his character was so insulting, considering how much he has been there for her. i think she has to put in the work now if they're going to be together again.

@@jabarhenv5933 Jay was suspected of murder back in season 1 and everyone on the team doubted him, and on season 6 with Garrett. All that experience put into perspective, I'm sure Jay knows how it feels to be in that position and that the members in the unit deserve the benefit of doubt. Not saying Jay isn't judgemental, he really is. But when it comes to Adam they've had a good friendship throughout the show.

Adam annoys me but he is loyal to the squad. He has everyone's back and he's proven that from Al, Antonio, Voight, Atwater and Burgess. All of them but he doesn't get the love back. She was wrong. Period.
Ikr! I have been pissed all season at so many Atwater, Voight and Burgess included.. Adam has been there for both Burgess and Atwater when they needed him but I think they take his loyalty for granted sometimes and honestly treat him like a dirty cop most of the time..Atwater's holier than tho attitude few episodes has also pissed me off cuz i don't think he sees Adam as a true friend bcuz of his skin color.. I was so disappointed in Kim when she thought he murdered that man I was like this is what u think the man u love is the man u were gonna raise a child with and marry.. I was shocked when Kim told Adam instead of saying "Are you okay?" she says "What did you do? She should've believed him that it was self-defense. A true couple confess their feelings with each other when something is wrong.
On the one hand yes but it's not like she wasn't worried about him, she shouted his name multiple times in fear that he could be injured but when she saw them, she questioned him. It still wasn't right but it's not like she wasn't worried about him
In my opinion if she honestly thinks that Adam is even remotely capable of murder then she shouldn't have him raise Makayla if something were to happen to her.

Ruzek has never given the impression he is capable of cold blood murder. No matter what. No matter if he has a temper or anything. If she doesnt know that, she definitely doesnt know him. But im not really a fan of kim so im not bothered by him not wanting to give her much time. He deserves better
YESS I AGREE Ruzek has a really bad temper you can see that in some episodes but he’s not that type of person to do that he stops himself. I love #BURZEK but Kim was wrong in this.

After calling of their wedding in season 3 she went after roman and when he came for his sister murder she went back to him
Kim's problem leads back to patrol when they got together. He loves her more than she loves him. He wanted to marry her but she kept listening to Roman. Then she sleeps with him and acts like nothing happened between her and adam. Then seasons later she gets pregnant, she is shocked. Adam wanted to be there for the pregnancy and she kept pushing him back, he proposed and she said no. This whole back and forth doesn't work, and this coming from a former fan
Thank you for saying that about their first breakup. Adam didn’t do anything wrong and she broke off their engagement. She listened to another guy who wanted to sleep with her.
He was engaged 2 times before. He never wanted a wedding. She didn't break up because of Roman. She broke up because Adam wasn't ready. The second time he proposed, he did it because Kim was pregnant. Not because he loves her.

This was one of the deepest scenes ever on the show. Kim should have known better!!! Ruzek was really hurt “at that moment I would’ve thought you known my heart …” and when he said if it was switched “ I know your heart” 😩💔

After seeing Adam in 8x16 I'm kinda more of the opinion that Kim DID know his heart, she just got who he cared about wrong. Because she knows Adam would do anything for the people he loves (as shown in 8x16), but her mistake was thinking that Adam loved his pops unconditionally. The difference in how Kim's question hurt Adam vs what his dad did is really telling. One left him heartbroken and shutting himself off, the other left him disappointed and determined to get the job done.
Kim has never seemed to understand that how Adam feels about her is very different to how he feels about anyone else.

Adam is completely valid but so is Kim. When that moment came up, I thought Adam killed that man too. I think that was a pretty understandable assumption especially considering what he was saying in the car before they arrived on the scene. Kim should've asked if he was okay though.
WOW, what a powerful way to express your.hurt feelings. He didn't raise his voice are call her the B Word. The sad thing is she still didn't get it. She still tried to explain and justify what ahe said. It was an empty apology and thankfully Adam didn't fall for it. Thanks for stopping by Kim.

You can clearly see Kim trying to justify her side of this situation. When Adam shut the door on her, I was singing "na na na goodbye" because he was right on every single thing he said.

This scene broke my heart but I have seen both sides. But I've learned towards Adam Ruzek on this one. Yes I see why Kim would have had her doubts but he made a point, if roles were reversed he wouldn't believe Kim would be a cold blooded killer. Even when they were together, Kim trusted what other people told her not her own feeling or gut. I mean, Adam wanted to marry her but she listened to Roman. She even slept with him after dumping ruzek. Then she had a child, he wanted to be there for the baby but she pushed him away which is natural and that's why I love this relationship its raw and real with emotions. I love them so much. They deserve to be happy. Hoping this will happen soon.
@Trey Atkins I wouldn't say toxic I just think Kim needed to hear that to become better. We all do things we aren't proud of. But Adam also could've had his own revenge for that man who took his father. They all would have motives. I still love Kim and Adam, I have no hatred but I'm hoping it will become better now that Adam has let out his frustrations and Kim can be better.

@@kephrenh Yes, like a "what happened? Are you okay?" type of thing. I don't think Adam was expecting a straight-up "what did you do?" The car scene, the camera panning down to the gun, the way he looks at her after the shooting clip is played, I think we were meant to think that's what she meant and that it was "a bad", for lack of better words, in their relationship. That's what hurt Ruzek.
I didn't think that. I get Adam has a temper and he is reckless and makes stupid decisions but it would be so out of character for him. I know Adam's heart. I mean unless the writers wanted to do 180 degree turn then.... (I would have thrown hands, like for real) It's Adam, he's not a cold blooded killer. And if this was me I would have asked, "What happened? Are you okay", regardless of what I thought.
I don’t blame Kim for being suspicious. It’s not like it would’ve been the first time he’s crossed the line out of loyalty. Plus if he hadn’t made that comment about things would be easier if the thug who kidnapped his dad had just disappeared right before, she might not have questioned him. What is she supposed to think after that?

That's why these two don't need to be together romantically anymore. Too much drama between them why couldn't the writers see that and break them up for good and have these two find other people to date instead of getting back together romantically again all the time it wasn't out between them so why keep them together romantically or have them back and forth between them all the time. Adam needs to learn from this and leave Kim alone and find someone else to date and that goes for Kim as well she needs to leave Adam alone and find someone else to date maybe Kevin or any other guy other than Adam anymore she wasn't too crazy about getting back together with him again so why act like she wants him or cares about him now. Adam deserves better than Kim it wasn't meant to be with her.

@Trey Atkins The relationship between them was toxic ever sense they've broken off their engagement. They don't belong together romantically anymore the writers shouldn't keep them together or back and forth between them or even sleeping together anymore especially if Kim wasn't too trill about getting back together with him. And plus she regretted every bit of it and now all of a sudden she wants to be his girlfriend now and actually cares for him. I don't blame Adam for asking her what do she wants from him besides just sex and nothing but that and not wanting a relationship with him anymore. The writers shouldn't have gotten them back together in the first place. What is with those writers they like a lot of drama? This isn't Law and Order SUV you know.

Honestly I think Kim’s in the right here, when I was watching the episode I totally thought he murdered the guy. Glad he didn’t though.
Yes! Especially after he just said “he needs to go away” and he is shot from the back. Still not convinced he didn’t kill him. And why didn’t he call it in right away.
But no matter what: Kim should have ask first, if Adam was okay and only second "what happened" and not "what did you do". I mean, she had heard shots! Any loyal partner would have been concerned that his coworker probably was injured - not to mention a person, who earlier used to be in a relationship with. To sum it up: She doesn't show concern over his wellbeing, she doesn't ask, but assumed the worst, she doesn't show any trust in him - how could Adam not be hurt to the core?

Good Adam she deserved. He needs to move on seriously. Seems like she’s just stringing him along and doesn’t really want him anymore. She’s a bit hypocritical too.
I would have reacted the same way as Ruzek at this moment, if I was in his shoes. I would have then given her a second chance and forgiven her after some time.
The larger point here is not if Ruz was capable of killing that beast. The point is that Ruz was at his wits' end and in a time of need, and Burgess wanted her own fears comforted rather than thinking about someone other than herself. Even here at the door she says "you have to see" my point of view. She still doesn't put Ruz's well being first. It surprised me that they would be this honest about a female character's defects.
And, for the record, the title above is wrong, because Burgess never even tried to apologize.

Given Ruzek’s history as a cop, his treatment of suspects and his cover-up ofAntonio Dawson’s crime, he’s got no right to be mad at Kim for accusing him of doing something bad.

Adam's actions caused Kim's loyalty question. Adam earlier left "breadcrumbs" with his questionable police actions, and he later failed to immediately call or attempt medical aid. Btw, Kim should have said "What happened Adam"?
Honestly I can see both sides, I don’t think Adam would kill anyone in cold blood, but at the same time, he has put his career and freedom on the line before so it’d be hard for Kim not to be concerned. I just hope they work this out.

In her defense, five seconds before ignoring a direct order not to go in, he said it would be better off if the guy was dead. And this was AFTER he suggested letting the informant die. What was she supposed to think?

I think this was necessary from Ruzek. He's been there for her always. I feel that it has been Kim pushing him away. For example, in the scene in the parking lot about trauma, Ruzek didn't seem to understand why Kim would analyze their shared trauma like that. He's just said what he's been thinking in this scene. Kim's reaction in this episode was his "last-straw" type of thing, I think.
I just hope that the writers don't just magically put them together after this. Even though, this season has already been pretty splotchy in terms of storylines due to the pandemic.

I feel like everyone is pushing Adam away for some reason. Atwater, Burgess and even his own father turned their backs on him and I feel so bad for Ruzek this season.

Well based on Adam’s history and bad behavior it wasn’t far fetched she would doubt him. Also he didn’t treat Kim right in the past. They need to be over. She was his side chick (lol) in the earlier seasons while he was engaged to another lady. Then he moved her up to main chick, got engaged to her, but broke her heart because he really didn’t want to get Married.Adam is voight Jr with cover ups and bad behavior. I been over them as a thing. Forget that how come they don’t have enough episodes about Atwater? That’s who I really like
There are always ups and downs in a relationship that sometimes takes time to resolve. This will happen between Adam and Burgess. Please don't separate this couple in the script.

I may get some heat for this but I am so over these two! I'm over this relationship. How long is Adam going to continue to hold to this? I feel that everytime Adam reaches she pulls away. All Adam has ever tried to do is be there for Kim and this is how she treats him in return. Everytime.
But Ruzek was just saying it would best if the suspect just went away, meaning dead, instead of going to jail. I don’t blame Kim for having her doubts. Ruzek was not acting like himself.

Actually, I think Kim is better off without him. In typical man fashion, the reason he loved her is because of the way she made him feel about himself. This character has major problems. The way he strung her along about getting married... I was all team Burzak for a long time but now I’m ready for them to both move on. Besides, I want more Kevin!

Kim is the only one that hurts Adam wtf, he deserves better. When you love someone, you trust them and you learm to trust yourself for the relationship to work, he did, and she didn’t. She’s the one that push him back every single time and I’m sick he has to be there when she’s not

Yes I am concerned about Adam's mental health because of all he has gone thru -- the loss of his baby and the drama with his father. He needs a cup of chamomile tea and some TLC!!😵😉😄
The only reason i want him and Kim together right now is because he is going through so much. He needs someone to rely on. But now that this happened I feel even worse. Its gonna be a long road for Adam because now he probably thinks he can't trust Kim anymore. Such a mess
