We skipped spring this year and went straight to summer. It makes it even more of a contrast with all the depression associated with huddling indoors watching the seemingly endless snow.
Before I moved to Finland from Pacific Northwest region of America I kinda knew it'd be gloomy 2/3 of the year and the summer feels like a reward. Fantastic video
In my mind I sometimes reflect an entire year to one singular day. Winter is night, spring is morning, summer is midday and afternoon, while autumn is evening.
A lovely video again. Thanks Chico! I like so much that we have immigrants like you in our country. You can see the good things differently than us who have lived here our whole life. You can teach us to enjoy many little good things about our country that we can't realize until some people of foreign background help us to open our eyes and see them.
I have subscribed your channel for many years. There has been pauses when I don't watch every new video, but it always makes me happy when I see you have uploaded. Today I clicked play for a long time to see how your doing and I was surprised! Your camera work, editing and story telling is magnificent! Perhaps I hadn't noticed your amazing talent before, or had forgotten it. But I will start push play more in the future on your videos! I am shocked that you don't have atleast 10k subs already! I'm sure you will get there, as you have such a talent. All the best.
Thank you so much! Yes, I found that the old videos were not very interesting to make. Everyone does them. I wanted to flex my creativity and storytelling. I want it to be stimulating in many ways, not just what I say. So I appreciate the feeback!
I really enjoy your videos, they’re a great way to ground yourself a little bit. Just a bit of normalcy and admiration of things around oneself. Absolutely lovely. ❤
I've lived my whole life in Moscow (it's pretty cold here) and I like Finland, but I don't really like winter, so I want to move to a sunnier country like Spain. maybe if it weren't for the weather, I'd love to move to Finland
I really do love you sharing on the changes of seasons in Finland, how is life like as an immigrant and all. I admire your strong positivity and your endurance in what you went thru in life. You're an amazing person, Chico! You're my inspiration, man! Keep the videos going and Happy Summer to you!
Your feelings and views are understandable as an immigrant's or tourist's, and I try to relate, but in my core I actually cannot feel anything really similar. I'm not used to connecting to other people based on our feelings about seasons, as there is no common ground in that respect in the Nordic countries, some do like summer, but I personally know nobody who is really passionate about summer. And even if some don't love summers the most, for some winter is the real nuisance (cold, dark, stressfilled), whereas for some summer is the worst season (loud, sweaty, hectic, socially demanding, tiresome). Because spring is very short normally, for many it doesn't really count much. And for many reasons it is not unusual that Finns like the autumn best. So there isn't really any general agreement, and we kind of shrug our shoulders at opinons about seasons and weather, they vry so much, but still anybody might find a tribe of likeminded people in that respect, too, if it feels important. I have an intuition that Finns actually like their everyday lives the most, i e when life centers around the rhythm given by work/rest/hobbies, and family/friends, beloved traditions and there's also change/variety in a not too rigid pattern, over which one has some control. A calendar, a planner for the 50+ weeks of the year, is a very normal survival tool for Finns. Starting in the middle of winter when your workplace wants to know when you are going to have your summervacation-weeks, which you need to use, if you are not going to be hated by your work-mates. Without a planner you are like a rubber duck on high seas, without real direction. The planning is made easier by the many recurring traditions, which return without any surprises. Some focus on garden activities, some on their musical interests, some on the boating seasons, some on sports or crafts or markets, and some prepare for events and plan to take part in the international wife-carrying contests, year after year. In Finland life is very diverse, any time of the year. One expresses one's personality through these personal plans and activities. One finds like-minded people through them. One gives back to society by taking part in them. One helps maintain a country with strong connections, orderliness, equality, tolerance, caring, and a spirit of relaxed togetherness.
Hello from 🇫🇮! I love to watch your videos and learn how you see this country, nature and culture ☺️ This last winter was SO LONG. It feels like you can finally take a deeeep breath when summer arrives. 🌱 I’m also learning to embrace every season - they all are so unique and beautiful in their own ways. Sometimes it’s hard to remember that when it’s so damn dark and cold for a very long time and you don’t see the sun for months. Btw, here’s a beautiful video about kind of the same topic; how to see the beauty in every season, from a swedish youtuber Jonna Jinton: ruclips.net/video/3zTR4ayDG38/видео.htmlsi=Sz4VP5sR9SPBvcid Also, I feel like your videos are very good quality - I can see the effort put behind them. Keep up the good work! ☀️

Yup! Totally agree

Especially in my circles the ultimate Finnish way is that no matter the weather, it shall be complained about.
Hahaha! True
Fucking inspiring, apologies for the swear. Keep doing you man, the authenticity you bring to these videos make me refreshed.
No worries about the swearing! Thank you so much. I appreciate it!
Your videos are very beautiful and make me as a local think from another perspective and value what we have.
as an African moving to Finland this July, I hope I won't also fall into the trap of waiting for summer lol. great video
Wise words Chico and happy summer you too
Thank you so much!

I smile all year round, but even here in casual-winter Denmark, most people hide indoors in winter.
Yup, it’s definitely not just Finland in this regard 😅
Yassss
what a beautiful video!
Thank you!

Heatvawe is coming, up to +30C this week.
Thank you so much so nice video i like your videos and your personality. Have a very nice summer ☺️ ✨♥️✨
Poetic and cinematic 🌟
Thank you!!
What a great video. My god. Have an amazing summer.
There are three problems with the finnish summer: mosquitos, seagulls, and insufficient length
Seagulls mostly a problem in Helsinki tourist areas though. ;)
@@HyperL_official They are a problem everywhere near the city center in Tampere
I really enjoy all our times of year, I love fall and winter, summer is my least favorite season 😂 Sometimes I think Im a weird finn
Wow you have really opened my eyes my man. In the future, i will try to enjoy my life to the fullest and not just half of it during summer. Thank you!
It is my absolute pleasure! ✨🙏🏾

Oh you managed to spot the Myth, the Summer.
Took me a couple years. But I finally did!
