iv'e been using a rear drive 350 for over year now for food deliveries....The rear drive is very reliable and gets everyday use....6-7 days a week and 6-8 hours a day....i charge for lunch and then charge again for dinner runs and place a trash bag around the whole battery for extra measures in the rain... last week i used it in full on downpours in cold rain and performed like a sunny day..I cover the battery with a piece of yoga mat and then wrap it in a trash bag on freezing cold days, fasten with a voile straps..anyways the bafang is a great motor an recommend it..it a hard worker.

I don't know about anyone else but I can't sell e bikes in my bike shop . I've had 2 in my shop for 6 years and everyone that comes in wanting one walks right back out after they see $1400 and $1600 price tags . Till they get into the $500-$700 price range people won't buy them . I have one myself and have been riding it every day for 5 years no problems at all and mine is a kit hub drive from e bay 48v 1000w thst does exactly what I need it to do . I can get 40 miles per charge or I can rocket it and drain the battery in 10 miles

This "factory" is merely an assembly plant, just to make that clear. There are factories in China who may only manufacture one component, such as axles for hubs motors. You could find these parts in several different brands, and often with no difference between them.

Thanks, good to see how they are made. I am impressed with mine, very quiet, powerful enough, and for hilly areas they beat my hub drive, but more wear on the chain etc. You can spin the cranks at the optimum cadence, and this gives the best motor power and efficiency.
I also have a Yamaha crank drive, which is even better, but surprisingly it is noisier than the Bafang. Yamaha better because it has a torque sensor, and the bafang is cadence only.

      @mick2d2 4 года назад

Alan Bowers They are expensive to buy, but I think they represent good value. I “broke” two Shimano Saints on my bike, before getting the Rohloff. They were both badly bent out of shape, after which it’s nigh on impossible to get them adjusted properly again, ten speeds having a much lower tolerance threshold than other ones. Some people have done over 100K on the Rohloff and they’re still going strong. I’ve done about 5000km on mine so far. It also gives you an amazing range of gears.

Google wanted to type the numeral 9 because it did not understand the concept of not going home at night. It does not mean that you are a slave. It means that you have not been allowed to organize. The government in democracies does what the people wanted to do. Or that is what happened in the past in the United States. It might happen again next in China before it happens in the United States. My motor had been assembled incorrectly, a plug/socket was not fully clicked into place, it was an easy fix, but I prefer not to have to dismantle and rebuild expensive items like this.
The pedal assist is a bit hit and miss, much better on the thumb throttle.
Other than that, it´s a useful device, though I´ve not seen any advice on routine maintenance.

I do not know if it is a play for the gallery with a extra clean factory where the working tempo look relaxed, but I still would love to see a whole bike made and branded by Bafang, something like a folk-bike that is simple, easy to repair and that may introduce some form of standard battery for e-bikes and electric mopeds, so customers know that a battery 5 years from now still will fit the bike, and where other manufacturers can sell battery packs that are compatible with that battery standard.

I think that you are unaware of the issues related to being critical of battery electric Drive systems versus thermal engines. I am glad that you mentioned Honda though. Honda use the highest quality battery electric drive system ever sold in the United States. Their contempt for battery-electric Drive systems is not ignorance has another Channel glibly argues.
Instead of putting gasoline in your tank you can put a thermal potential energy fuel. The heat in the atmosphere has tremendous potential energy. It can generate superheated steam of itself to drive a turbine. The things to do so does not have to be a pressure tank but up to 300 pounds would give it a couple hundred pounds of range of course. This is what we do with soda gas for Coca-Cola etcetera. I was thrilled to finally read the label on the bottle where I provided the range of pressure sent to the fountains and the range of pressure within the large steel tank.
On the bicycle the size of the tank can be much smaller than the volume of the carbon fiber frame. No actual pressure is needed. You have some sort of heat exchanger which is like a radiator in reverse. The liquefied gas absorbs Mass actually and expands nearly a thousand fold pushing the turbine blades with immense Force as it does this. This is what Honda is talking about and you don't need hydrogen 4 fuel cells it is very simple parts of the mass produce inexpensively it is like a bicycle transmission but even simpler. Bicycles use so little energy attempting to save the energy that you might otherwise use if for example it was half the efficiency or third the efficiency or 1/10 efficiency makes no sense.
What matter is is the ability to shift consumption to your solution. The fossil fuel industry directs the competition too expensive systems that cannot scale.
The bicycle can be produced for a price that appears the Jive with people's intuition as to how much it should cost that are regarded to a car. A small fraction. Not basically a new bike costing as much as a used car new bicycles that are better than used cars that cost less will actually reduce new car purchases because used car buyers subsidized new car purchases.
There is a reality when it comes to the legislation about cigarette smoking. The General Public does not want people who are 20 years old to start smoking next year either. Next year we need to pass the law that raise the age limit every year so no new people can start smoking legally.
It is the same with cars. The diction is large because people start when they're 15. You don't even need a reason to be driving alone long before you can vote or have sex with anybody you want to. Your car is the worst possible thing to expose your children 2 ever. I hope that Honda will used technology 2 drastically change the world. I used to follow their jet progress. Perhaps you do as well. You're on the right track and you're not just seeking negative attention attempting to save the energy that you might otherwise use it for example it was half the efficiency or third the fish to see where a tent efficiency

      @wildone5295 4 года назад

@@marsBeBelinda I just enjoy my gas engine. It's not so much about being critical, it's the fact that charge time seems to be a real issue with ebikes. Most charge times I see indicate they take 4-6 hrs to charge. Thats right charge!!!!!.....With that being said if I want to go on any sort of long distance ride I need to depend on electricity, something that's just not available for ebikes. How about power outages? What if I depended on my ebike or tesla to get to work and there's a power outage for several days. I personally believe electric has some catching up to do. And I won't even tell you what I think about the cost of a ebike. When these things start costing as much as a car you can't help but roll your eyes. My little Honda 4 stroke kit that's incredibly dependable...400 bucks.

@@chrisw3327 Pros and Cons of BaFang mid-drives.
Con - There is no torque sensor in the BaFang mid-drives. Turn the cranks and it will apply a predetermined amount of assist. If you lean into the pedals the motor doesn't understand and ramp up accordingly. I listed this as a Con only because it doesn't give you that option. Riders should have this option if they want it, BUT I like being able to stand and pump the pedals without having to spend more of my precious charge. Production ebike manufacturers would call their's are more refined than BaFangs but I think that's wrong war around.
      Pro - 1000W (1.34102 h.p.)... or 750W, 500W... but really, why?
Con - They don't have built in temperature detection.
Pro - Throttle. The single most advantageous factor... right after 1.34 h.p. There are many aspects of the throttle that make it so useful to me. I can set the amount of assist for each level, how fast the power rolls on so you don't damage the drive-train, and you can have 9 different levels of assist on both the cranks and the throttle independent of each other. Take into account that I'm not taking my bike off drops or anywhere I have to carry it. Heavy weight touring with a range of 100 miles on varied terrain.
Con - It comes from China. I could get into that but why?
Pro - Can be mounted on almost any bike. New, old, fat, suspended, retro, tall... you find your perfect bike for what you want and make it your ebike. I could use this as another Pro but I don't need to, the motor can also be removed and remounted on another bike if desired.
Con - Not many LBS are willing to, or capable of assisting in the transformation. But if you are already maintaining your own bike now it's a straightforward procedure.
Pro - You can pick and choose the battery you want and they are less than 1/2 price for the same capacity on production ebike. I just bought a 35 Ah triangle pack (#3) for less than $600.00. You can also upgrade to a Grin Satiator for charging.
Con - Quality control less than stellar... but getting better, or was. I had a faulty controller and it took 2 units to get a good one.
Pro - The BBSXX series mid-drives pair perfectly with a Rohloff Speedhub.
      Con - hummmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Pro - You can use any digital display you want and there are several. I'm currently using a 500C display after having used an EggRider and a stock BaFang display.
Pro - BaFang mid-drives let you determine what Class ebike you are riding to conform with state and local regulations. (Important!!! Read and understand the Federal definition of an ebike.) www.bosch-ebike.com/us/everything-about-the-ebike/stories/three-class-ebike-system/
Con - (Not to me, but to some) Motor location isn't optimal for some riders. In front of and slightly lower than the BB. (Drastically out-weighed by Pros) photos.app.goo.gl/ndCrGr6EmK9UqNZG9
Pro - Can be configured in many different ways for many types of rides and has very few proprietary limitations.
They aren't perfect by any stretch of the imagination but no one else is bothering to step up with a similar mid-drive.
      Here's what I have been doing: photos.google.com/share/AF1QipMgab33TrI8TrP2Pp_eTYsuQMIdyeke43MIiSb3E1G_IUBib5BtBjmuBXeFvBM8Yw?key=MFg1ZXRwN1FpdWlBbHJEUkkyY3EwZ1Y1Yk9yRVRB

The quality of Bafang motors rose very rapidly over recent years. It seems like a very sound company. But for all the motors and ebikes make in China, Bafang totally dominates the DIY US market (mid drive). It seems like a government sponsored export situation. China is a real mixed bag. More and more battery and solar stuff on Ebay seems fraudulent. I hoped Bafang would lead the way with developing a quality brand ethos. But I am looking at a 200 watt solar panel rated 6 amps and 18 volts max. That's not 200 watts. There are $100 battery packs, ostensibly 36v and 10 AH, but they must be super cells. It's too bad. There is good Bafang, and there are a lot of hucksters. Bafang never got much traction selling stuff direct in the US. They weren't price competitors. Their battery prices align with EM3 and Luna. Everyone wants margins, or they are lying SOB's.

George Sears Batteries are the problem with Ebikes! I wish companies would offer 2 Batteries like power tools! I would love to increase my range!
My 2yr old Ebike has an obsolete Panasonic 36v battery that will have to be rebuilt because of the unique connections to the controller.
And the company ‘Populo’ no longer imports this battery. Just part of the scam to keep Ebike riders buying new bikes every two or three years, just like automobile manufacturers, in our throw away society!

I don't think compactness it's important what is important is performance and function and doing things on the rim is an established technology where is largely captured 4 car scale yes but inherently bicycle disruptive if applied to bicycles.
First World countries can afford to have electrical Hi Power hub Motors that can be regulated by law 2 behave as the Law's intent a limiting wattage primeval e.
The legislation that we have needs to be scientific not just able to prevent the Banning of car monstrosity Sin Cities.
Smaller smarter preferred Solutions threatened companies and they are fighting back to prevent the consumer rights to choice and infinitely evolved cities becoming real not just the stuff of Dreams and the uninformed fantasy.
I have far more respect for this Factory and the ones that companies with literally a million just employees not counting their families at the trough. So many mouths to feed can corrupt and starve everybody of the progress that is overdue. This company is likely serving its domestic customers far better did any car company is at least in this low cost e-bike design however primitive and inappropriate for people who can Finance such capital expenditure across the years and have the income to do it in a way that costs less not more overtime the way of quality and sophistication it only seems beyond the reach if one thinks about cash purchases. When we send our children to college we don't have to pay in advance for the whole degree. Nor should we when we give them something that will spare them owning or operating a car forever. Almost all families in the United States if they can afford to get a car to their kid can a Ford E bikes beyond anything yet produced. Mini bike that costs $2,000 and that is an e-bike or a nitrogen actually turbine Mobility tool is what our children deserve and will save their lives not just the planet.
To produce turbines Factory looks very different. The Tulane costs more. The scale of production is for the majority for the entirety of the population. Like cars have been. I love this former student of miracle making knowledge. He pushes hard and if he will continue to do so with our support. He is giving us the information we sharing with each other and discuss the meaning of. He has his own channel course electric bikes school I think it's called. I encourage everybody to go there. I am sure he cannot mention it so I encourage everybody to mention it in the comments to each other, of all of the people on RUclips I have seen nobody has a university education in technology backing their talent as a presenter. His personal Channel should be out doing Electric with an to K here

I am replying to correct the aggravated bulshit the dictation algorithms that are machine learning instead of user trains generate. I tried several times to get it to type Bosch and should have just spelled it in my prior comment. Instead it looks like I was trying be respectful or something to not name names and even to include them in Praise. You can never trust the car maker. Reputable engineers and such are able to disassociate themselves as they would like from the fossil fuel industry despite several posting comments right now at the New York Times arguing falsely little not facetiously that the fossil fuel industry has supported renewable Technologies. That's support is strategic and has prevented the technologies that result from intruding upon the profit margins and mineral rights owners enrichment.
They should not be allowed they should not be trusted their agenda is not what it might appear to be to those we are successfully hustling or defrauding not just killing Whitely. Again instead of correcting it to have a d instead of an L I go with the flaw. Detroit may have black workers in it and even nowadays minorities running the show or seeming to but the reality is we must check the notion that it is white privilege to fuck up the planet endlessly. It is everybody's business. Activities witnessed here are heroic and if you appreciate the work of the slaves in America if not they're suffering then you should appreciate the potential for this company if set free to protect its station from the exported car metastasis

Raymond Ashby definition of power is torque x rpm. At 0 rpm you have 0 power output (efficiency is 0%, as demonstrated if you lock your brakes and you’re not going anywhere, the brakes are dissipating 0 heat because they aren’t moving or doing work, the motor is wasting all the power into heat). What you are confusing is TORQUE, but that’s not a useful force for moving you so much as power. You want max efficiency, and a motor (gas or electric) has its efficiency curve, and trust me you can get stupidly inefficient as seen when my ebike uses like 25-30 amps at 52v at 28mph because the voltage is too low, or it’s kV rating of rpm per volt is too low. Basically it’s only ~20% efficient if that (seeing as I can easily pedal up to that and I’m not iron man, it’s probably 200w useful power, so at over 1000w it’s not doing so great!). So gearing (or rewinding the motor for this speed) would be ideal so I’m not wasting 80% of my power.
Just like your legs, electric motors have an efficiency curve.

They really care about their Worker´s eyes... 2:40 ... Freely exposed Laser Radiation ? Seems to be a special chinese invention with a specific wavelength, which can´t get reflected. I own a Bafang Hubmotor in my Bike... Soon after around 200km the controller began to show more than 30000km on the tripcounter, after 500km the motorgear became loud and so on... Just my 2 cents about quality...

co2 lasers operate far enough into the infrared that the cornea is opaque to the light, so the risk with this type of laser is pretty slight. I'm not saying what they are doing is hunky dory, but it's probably a lot better than it looks from an eye safety POV
