After "accidentally" discovering Justin Heideman, I became a big fan of the Jefferson Davis High School Band. Vanilla Funk set them aside and pointed out the hard work that band did to achieve their great performances. Great Band Director and leader..

I am sorry but just like Southern Dolls would have held Bri (McKinley Pantherettes) back, ASU will definitely hold Justin back...The Stingettes are fantstic but those Drum Majors are total military style, Justin has way too much funk to ever be a Drum Major there... I wish you the best of course. .....Before you can be a DM they would most definitely have to change their style. For Dominic and Xavier, Talledega is great and of course Jackson State, the best Drum Majors ever.

I started watching Jefferson Davis videos 4 days ago and fell in love with this band and all the members. What fun, dedication, enthusiasm, energy and excellence. What great band directors and dance directors. I feel like I gave birth to all these wonderful young people. Actually I would be your grandmother! Good luck to all 3 of the drum majors going on to college and I hope the bands you will be with are wonderful people like you.

ASU is my stomping grounds. All I have to say is don't be stupid towards Justin. His heart is clearly in people and music. No old school biases needed. He will do very well in the ASU band.
