Most people have no clue what movies are in the theaters at any given moment. Back in the day we all used to know. As far as Gladiator goes. That movie is not the kind of movie that should have a sequel. No one was waiting for it because its just milking the name.

I am an African who lives in Africa, a Nigerian to be more specific, can somebody tell me why we get so sensitive whenever the undignified optics of us are put on display? This is 2024 and 11 months and most of Africa is rural, most Africans are not enjoying the basic necessities of life in the 21st century. We get soo sensitive and defensive when that part of us is portrayed that's crazy.

I only have one observation on Wicked. I am a male and have no interest in watching Wicked. Wicked has a huge female fan base going back decades and no male has any business critiquing the movie. But I was amazed that on IMDB, 40% of fans have given Wicked a 10. No movie should get 40% of its fans to give it a 10 as that is sure sign of a cult following. Wicked has an 8.2 rating which makes me think the movie is really a 7.0 movie (still good) after discounting the inflated cult following.

Most people have no clue what movies are in the theaters at any given moment. Back in the day we all used to know. As far as Gladiator goes. That movie is not the kind of movie that should have a sequel. No one was waiting for it because its just milking the name.

I am an African who lives in Africa, a Nigerian to be more specific, can somebody tell me why we get so sensitive whenever the undignified optics of us are put on display? This is 2024 and 11 months and most of Africa is rural, most Africans are not enjoying the basic necessities of life in the 21st century. We get soo sensitive and defensive when that part of us is portrayed that's crazy.
This is the stupidity of African people. We should be mad at the corrupted governments that keep all the aid in their pockets, steal government money to buy mansions and create wealth for their own families, while leaving the rest of the people without basic necessities like electricity or even clean water, no we choose to bead those who are actually trying to help instead.

I only have one observation on Wicked. I am a male and have no interest in watching Wicked. Wicked has a huge female fan base going back decades and no male has any business critiquing the movie. But I was amazed that on IMDB, 40% of fans have given Wicked a 10. No movie should get 40% of its fans to give it a 10 as that is sure sign of a cult following. Kind of reminds me of so many woman voting for Kamala simple because she is a woman or is a woman of color (color unknown). No thinking ability or ability to discern real tangible facts to critically look at an issue or a movie. Wicked has an 8.2 rating which makes me think the movie is really a 7.0 movie (still good) after discounting the inflated cult following.
Believe it or not, these garbage movies are what keeps eroding our society and lead to things even you find problematic. These movies shape the thought process of the millions of women that view this. Then they raise even their male kids with this type of disordered thinking. Imagine how that turns out. So with every generation, things go from bad to worse.
I saw Wicked. Visually entrancing. But it's just for entertainment.
The next day, I saw Bonhoffer. Excellent and deeply thought-provoking.
