Truly amazing! Thank you, brother. I have been a musician for years but been shying away for decades from entering into this world of production--this is very empowering. Stoked about the product. Your didactic skills are unmatched.
On God when I'm up from all the game you've given me with this great guide series, I'm gonna find a way to give you a proper thank you cuz saying it here doesn't feel like enough 🙏🏽
Another informative video to end the series. Previously I had no set process & was always frustrated with my overly processed sounding mixes. I’ve been following along using this 6 step process on a song I’m working on & it’s easily the best mix I’ve done, plus I feel more in control. It’s all making a lot more sense now! Thanks Colin.
This video series (as well as the previous one for Garage Band).has been incredibly helpful. It's made each mix feel so much more like I'm making constant progress, rather than fiddling aimlessly. Thanks! A quick question on this one: I noticed on your Adaptive Limiter you had the setting "Remove DC Offset" on. I tried it on and off and found I preferred it on, but I'm don't know what it's actually doing. Do you know what it's doing and is it just something you're supposed to leave on all the time?
That's awesome! Really glad you've been enjoying this series! DC offset is essentially the waveform not being centered- fixing it can allow for a little more dynamic range without any pumping or distortion. Not every mix needs it, so you're doing the exact right thing... test it and if you like it better, leave it!
a real disappointment to me because I am not yet in Logic, as soon as you change to automation the bright coloured track turns dark. I realize that I am older but really....if it was just a different colour ....the subtle highs and lows are hard to see
I can definitely understand that. They have a few other settings that can be adjusted (how big you view the waveforms, etc) that can definitely help compensate for this, but I definitely get the point!

Hey that's awesome! Exactly why I'm doing this series!
❤ really was great
Thanks again, Colin. Touch feature was new to me, and how you wrote with it. So cool 👍
I think I've just found one channel I'd spend most of my time learning on.
What's the title of this song by the way ?
Thankyou colin you make me what better🫂
Back in 2007-2008 I was doing automation before static mix, and then tune levels by gains.. don't ask me for reasons 😀

Are your vocals off time a little bit in that section where you were panning guitars
Nope! That's just a pickup into the next section
