Piets SOS is a studio feat, filled with pitch corrections throughout. You cant compare that with Dimash's live performances. Piet has no hope of reproducing the whistle run live. You can see in this very video, he can barely control a C#7 live. There is no way he could do a whistle run ending almost an octave higher than that live. Just hiting the B7 would be a struggle, doing the run leading up to it would be impossible. Dont confuse a studio recording with a live performance. Piet is a great singer, but he is a few levels below Dimash (though that is also the case with any other singer).

I think he is losing fans as he never thanks the thousands of people who say kind things in the comments, yet he has a core group of “mega fans” if you will, who daily defend him against trolls on all his videos & his reaction videos, who are often bullied and spoken to viciously. Considering Piet’s back story is that he was bullied so badly growing up he almost died, this is very poor form on his behalf. He could AT LEAST simply block or delete some of the more cruel & ridiculous trolls, but he never responds to anyone....maybe a bit more of a diva than the humble man he makes himself out to be? I’m an amateur journalist who discovered him through a Dimash group & was quite keen to see him live next time I was in Austria, as I’m usually there for a couple of days a month. When I inquired about live shows or even videos of him performing live, I was met with many defensive & quite ridiculous reasons from his mega fans for that he has NEVER sung live. This seemed very odd to me, so I asked in the comments if perhaps he’d be interested in doing an interview with me (which I promised to keep light & low key) & was very quickly muted! It would seem he monitors the comments more closely than he appears to, but with nary a thank you to his devoted fans, just purely out of self preservation. I followed up on my request for an interview to his business email, but months have gone by and I’ve received no reply. I have a suspicion this young man is hiding something 🤔

Because I have somewhat of a personal relationship (friendship) with Piet, I can tell you that he has thanked me many times, he really is very caring. I would not describe Piet as the most outgoing guy you'd ever meet; he prefers to keep to himself, and doesn't like engaging people that slander & hate on him. I've never asked him why he doesn't block, or delete nasty people, and their comments; I have a feeling he would say that people should be allowed to say what they want. As far as something to hide... I think most people have something to hide, or something that they are not proud of - for Piet, I think it's more about protection, than deception. And, he is a very private person, in his home & work life. When you have been deeply hurt, in your life, it's kind of like having a really bad sunburn; normally, if someone comes up behind you, and touches you on the shoulder, it's no big deal - you turn around and greet them (just like any other social situation) - but, if you have a really bad sun burn, and someone comes up and touches you on your shoulder, your reaction is quite different, isn't it? It's kind of like the old adage of, "once bitten, twice shy"; when people have hurt you, to the degree that Piet has been hurt, a person can tend to avoid others, and second guess the person's motives, and whether, or not that person may hurt them. As odd as it may seem, Piet doesn't like to be the center of attention, and I think that Piet would feel that doing an interview would put him squarely there. I should probably stop, for now. You do realize that when you have been bitten by a snake, you even get scared when you see a hook. This man you see here, Piet, is far much the best singer I've come across. Why in every song he's singing is there not one instance of him singing in front of a live audience. Every song he sang is in a studio setting. There is an added pressure when singing in front of a live audience that you don't get in a studio.

When he sings live in front of an audience then ill give him full credit as a singer. But I'm not going to put him in the same category as someone who has proven themselves under the pressure of singing live in front of a bunch of people.

I remember when I heard, Piet, your first version of SOS, your intro, emphasized your intention was not to "upstage" Dimash's interpretation, but to express your love for the song itself, and I think, you did; it was beautiful and definitely owned as Dimash has done. Your first version and Dimash's were unique and beautiful and maintained an abiding deep respect for the "original" artist who first show cased years ago. However this 2nd version, Piet was just "overdone", "show-offish", and edged it toward "unartistic", very generically commercial... sorry, Piet, overall, I think you are definitely a budding artist, yet apparently easily persuaded to "try" to hard to perfect that which IS actually pretty "perfect". Follow your own beautiful artistic heart ❤️ and don't allow your obviously unartistic trainers or "commercial hogs" lead you astray. And your critics are so zero, emotional clowns. Ciao, Piet.

@@dollybrunalabra5758 No, is not higher but he has done more whistle notes in the 6th octave, which of course Dimash is able to do but he hasn't shown more of his voice, in his last song Fire Dimash does an incrediblr F#6 almost G6 very powerful which is a demostration of what he will do with higher notes like A6 or B6
Sorry, until I see someone perform live in front of an audience, I don't fully buy it. There's to much shenanigans on the internet, editing, auto tune, etc. There is not one video of him performing live in front of an audience anywhere that I can find. All I've seen of him is studio singing, and the music industry is notorious for editing, enhancing, altering studio performances to make them sound better. So until I see a video of him performing live in front of an audience, I can't give him full credit.

You do realize that when you have been bitten by a snake, you even get scared when you see a hook. This man you see here, Piet, is far much the best singer I've come across. I can't even compare him to anyone because he sings in pain as others sing for money and whatever. Just because he's quiet on you guys doesn't mean he's hiding something.
After all, it's good to keep quiet on the things you know because a lot of things can be said about a lot of things.

@wishie Yes he did one before this 1, The impression I had piet was, he was humble and and said his intention was not to upstage Dimash but also pretty much respected Dimash highly as an artist...personally I don't waver according to the opinions to most, because they are clueless as far as appreciating true art( music). Including Piet, I had hope Piet was one, but ... oh well. I wrote a critique of his 2nd version of his SOS... I was not impressed, it was obvious he was just like the boring generics ugh... sad Piet has potential 😢 but he wanted to follow his "EGO" and de la monaie, so sad... there are many who love ❤️ and respect the true artist more than the ass-0 like Richie, etc
However his 2nd version spoke contrary to his 1st version, I really didn't think it was an improvement the more to just show how he too can sing High with whistle notes, B f d... He's a nice Frenchman and he has a lot to learn, Especially if he's ever going to become as well known and talented as well as respected as a person and artist.
In conclusion despite of anybody else what they may think which I don't really care what their opinions are because most people think with their heads and not their hearts. Which is the biggest difference between majority of the singers and celebrities, As far as Dimash is concern... again I'm NOT impressed. And if are like the adieu, forevermore

Why in every song he's singing is there not one instance of him singing in front of a live audience. Every song he sang is in a studio setting. There is an added pressure when singing in front of a live audience that you don't get in a studio.

When he sings live in front of an audience then ill give him full credit as a singer. But as long as he keeps putting out videos that are doctored in the studio then I will only view him as a studio singer. And there's nothing wrong with that. But I'm not going to put him in the same category as someone who has proven themselves under the pressure of singing live in front of a bunch of people.

I remember when I heard, Piet, your first version of SOS, your intro, emphasized your intention was not to "upstage" Dimash's interpretation, but to express your love for the song itself, and I think, you did; it was beautiful and definitely owned as Dimash has done. Your first version and Dimash's were unique and beautiful and maintained an abiding deep respect for the "original" artist who first show cased years ago.
However this 2nd version, Piet was just "overdone", "show-offish", and edged it toward "unartistic", very generically commercial... sorry, Piet, overall, I think you are definitely a budding artist, yet apparently easily persuaded to "try" to hard to perfect that which IS actually pretty "perfect". Follow your own beautiful artistic heart ❤️ and don't allow your obviously unartistic trainers or "commercial hogs" lead you astray. And your critics are so zero, emotional clowns. Ciao, Piet.

@@dollybrunalabra5758 No, is not higher but he has done more whistle notes in the 6th octave, which of course Dimash is able to do but he hasn't shown more of his voice, in his last song Fire Dimash does an incrediblr F#6 almost G6 very powerful which is a demostration of what he will do with higher notes like A6 or B6

Sorry, until I see someone perform live in front of an audience, I don't fully buy it. There's to much shenanigans on the internet, editing, auto tune, etc. There is not one video of him performing live in front of an audience anywhere that I can find. All I've seen of him is studio singing, and the music industry is notorious for editing, enhancing, altering studio performances to make them sound better. So until I see a video of him performing live in front of an audience, I can't give him full credit.
