As a Canadian, there's absolutely no way I would live in the US. My wife and I have discussed the possibility of one of us being offered a job in the US, and we agree we don't want to bring our children up there. When you are one of the few industrialized nations in the world not to have universal health care, that's a problem. When more than 40% of the population doesn't realize that evolution is a fact, that's a problem. When a large portion of the population is more interested in keeping their guns than with people's safety, that's a problem. And when you've got two sides of your government that literally refuse to work with one another, and not realize that's a huge problem, that IS a problem. So I am very glad to be living in Canada, thank you very much.
***** 1. I would certainly say that the "universality" of healthcare is of the upmost importance because I don't want to live in a country that allows people to go bankrupt or even worse, die, simply because they can't afford the care they need. Now, obviously the quality is important, as well, but if you can't afford it, then who cares how good it is. As for affordability, I don't think you understand what universal healthcare is. With universal healthcare, everyone can afford it. 2. That's still better than the US. 3. That is a ridiculous statement and not backed up by the evidence whatsoever. And this highlights Americans obsession with guns, which is dangerous and unhealthy. I refuse to live in a country that makes up excuses why they "need" to have guns. It's sickening. 4. BUT OUR GOVERNMENT CAN GET THINGS DONE!!!!!! There isn't this hatred between parties like there is in the US. You don't have parties whose sole goal it is to prevent the other from doing anything. I realize you are American and feel the need to defend your country, but you have to realize there are things very wrong with your country. And they're only getting worse. I don't think Canada's perfect, but given the choice between Canada and the US, I choose Canada 10 times out of 10.
Proud Canadian here! 🇨🇦 ❤️ I read somewhere, and I’m not sure if it’s true, but that 66% of people who file for personal bankruptcy in the US, it’s because of medical costs. Imagine if that worry was off the table. 🤔
I had major health issues as a kid, and needed a lot of doctor appointments, X-rays, scans, a major surgery and a week long hospitalisation. If I would have lived in the US, my family would have gone bankrupt because of me... It's crazy when you think of it...
Chad B yes.. we pay taxes for healthcare, education, women's safety, welfare, schools.. you pay for...... DRONES, F22s, MISSILES and a POLICE FORCE WHICH IS NOT ONLY RACIST, BUT PROBALY IN A WAY EXTREMIST... CONGRATULATIONS......
This Canadian 74 year old granny gets Canada Pension Plan, Old Age Security, a small pension from the Ontario government, an annuity from my husband's work and some money from investments totalling $2,989.94 per month. I pay virtually no income tax, get free health care and live quite comfortably.
When my mother had an aneurysm and fell into a coma for months, my dad used to joke about how far in debt we'd be if we lived in the states. Between the multiple surgeries and overnight care in the ICU, I remember his guess was half a million at one point. When she woke up and was in rehab to regain her motor skills (also covered) my dad got sick with cancer. We just counted our blessings after that, not the dollar signs.
+Team1 - Sorry, but I think DanM just may be on to something. As a fellow Canuck you personally know just how much it sucks to have such an amazing, inclusive, and free health care system. Embarrassingly, our math and literacy rates are consistently ranked in the top 10 world-wide. (Ontario recently announced it will begin offering free post-secondary education to those who otherwise cannot afford it.) Unbelievably, we emerged relatively unscathed from the recent recession that decimated the U.S., largely due to our stringent banking regulations. Shamefully we welcome refugees with open arms. And if you can believe it, our Prime Minister actually showed up to greet some of our new arrivals personally. Cheers, Keiko in Toronto Note: We applied for green cards once, but sadly we just couldn't meet the American minimum weight requirement ;)
MoreMedication there is only one problem about the refuges is that Trudeau let them in giving him more votes and they get free money even if they have a well paying jobs. I have refuge friend.
The reason for this middle class growth in Canada is investment in Education and Healthcare. The Canadian middle class has universal healthcare, private education, and public education.
Well, I'm not exactly sure where you got that idea but and I can tell you in all honesty and accuracy that the United States has never thought of itself as being above all that. In fact, one of the reasons why the economy went from a period of recession to a period of rapid growth and job creation within just a few years is because of the fact that the people got tired of the corporate and political corruption ruining our society, took to the streets and began to raise their voices. And yes, there were elections, including a change of presidency, but none of that was nearly as effective as the people finally exercising their right to peaceably assemble on a large scale and declaring that things needed to change...
Adam Fisk Yes, the people assembled, but were mostly laughed at or cast aside as the "Occupy Wall Street" movement never had any clear focus or platform. And you state *the United States has never thought of itself as being above all that* Are you familiar with "American exceptionalism"? It is the theory that the United States is inherently different from other nations. Although the term does not necessarily imply superiority, many *neoconservative* and other *American conservative writers* have promoted its use in that sense. To them, the U.S. is like the biblical "City upon a Hill"-a phrase evoked by British colonists to North America as early as 1630-and exempt from historical forces that have affected other countries. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_exceptionalism
Yes, they were laughed at by the partisan - biased aspects of the mainstream media. But there's no question that they were still effective. And I'm not just talking about Occupy Wall Street. There were other, lesser-known groups and operation is well, across the entire country. And because of people standing up, the job growth and economic expansion that the United States is experiencing right now is unprecedented. That's because the people stood up and showed that there is indeed, strength in numbers - regardless of what the mainstream media likes to try and say. Because remember, even though the media is supposed to be objective, it still has an agenda. And American exceptionalism is exactly what you said - a theory. Simply a suggestion and nothing that has been rooted in any kind of fact. And although many historical forces have not had the same effect on countries like the United States and Canada because of a variety of reasons as they've had on other countries, that's only because of a number of different factors contributing to such a phenomenon that could or could not be helped by the inhabitants of the North American continent. But that doesn't mean that the people here look at themselves as being above or beyond everyone or everything else. Quite the contrary, actually...
Yeah. You're judging the characters of more than 320 million people (Most of whom I'm sure you've never met) And you think you have the right to call them arrogant. Okay...
Adam Fisk It is true, they are always looking down their noses at anyone who is not American. Instead of being friendly and kind to foreigners, they act as paranoid snobish assholes as if the rest of the world population was infected with the black death.
+ThePolishWatermelon 123 Is that right? Well for your information, not only do my father and I both love Chinese culture, but I don't recall ever knowing any Americans who have ever passed a blanket judgment against the characters of the Chinese people. Try again, genius...
And if you look above you'll see a species of human we all abhor. They are known as arrogant Americans. Very combatitive and a blind species indeed. Their world consists only of them. Move along folks..
I live in Toronto, Ontario Canada, the richest city in Canada and the most populated. We have cultures from all around the world. We are the most or one of the most multi culture cities in the world and yet we have a very low crime rate compared to a city this size in ANY american city. We as a people have way different perspectives on society. Im actually quite terrified to even VISIT any US city. I would never want to live in such a society with so much hostility towards each other. Jesus you Americans need to fix that shit quick. For a nation that still believes so higher on the fairy tales of the past, you sure dont fucking act like it.
Just stay away from the democrat controlled and or gun free cities like chicago, milwaukee, any where in california, etc... My city's surrounding area gets one murder every two years. We have always been a thriving area with high employment and have always had a lot of industrial companies. But then again we border Canada with a lake, lol.
I am a Canadian 72 years old. Had prostate cancer 5 years ago was cared for now OK. Just had Lung Cancer. Treated with Chemo and 35 days of Radiation Therapy. Did not cost me a dime. Had great treatment and will get results shortly.
The problem I have with trickle down Reaganomics is the EXACT same problem I have with Communism. Both ideologies force you to put too much trust in a handful of people to do what's best for the majority of society. Communism requires you to put complete trust in the government/state and Reaganomics requires you to completely trust the bankers and corporations to not rip the population off. Both ideologies are completely flawed.
One thing I found cray cray about the United States is how ridiculously expensive it is to get an education. In Canada the average tuition fee for university is around 2-6k per year.
You made the right choice, because nowadays America is FILLED with racism 24/7. I know there are other racist countries, but America is the main source of racism. And besides, I've heard that Canadians are VERY welcoming towards immigrants.
@@chrisp3922 What Chris P. said is true. We have a lot of economic problems now here in Canada and what I read today I am very afraid. You have to stay where you are and deal with it. You may not like Trump and neither do I but he is the president of the US and you have to accept that until he is voted out.
That's just it though. A person can work ten times as hard than a rich person in America and still just scrape by in life. If you're willing to put forth the work and you have an even remotely decent head on your shoulders, you should be able to make a decent living. Isn't that the real American dream? That with hard work and and a little optimism, anyone can come from any background and make something of themselves?.. The American dream is dead. But it can live again. If we help it to.
***** I'm curious, is Trump in favor of getting money out of politics? Does he think elections should be publically funded? Because if he does, he actually stands a good shot at becoming POTUS.
BATHURST65 I know what you mean, I'm actually from Ontario. But I have a lot of family in the U.S. so American politics is something near and dear to me and I try to be as active in American politics as I can be without actually being there. I was specifically talking about the U.S. Our problems here at home are our own and unrelated for the purpose of my comment.
From the point of view of a 14 year old living in New Brunswick, Canada. I never hated America. I would be willing to go (not move but like a vacation) to America (Minus Florida, No Just No.) But from all the news I see I wouldn't live there because of the crappy Government and Crappy & Abusive police.
Jz80 its not bad at all. people love to paint america by what they see going gone in the big cities. but most Americans live in peace; away from all that political bullshit. i live in a town in Pennsylvania, and its beautiful! friendly people, great infrastructure, awesome hospitals, big houses, quiet, safe, etc. ALOT of america is exactly like this. but for some reason, most foreigners love to greenflies america into one big hell hole.
Jz80 I'm a proud Canadian who lived in California for many years. When I initially moved to the US, I was surprised to find no real difference between individual Americans and individual Canadians. Differences show up when you observe large groups and regions (often via mass media). And it's usually not the effect of country, but rather regional religious or cultural influence. Vancouver is far more similar to San Francisco than Charlotte, NC is to San Francisco. By the same measures, moving from Toronto to New York would be less dramatic a change than moving from Toronto to Victoria. If you prefer to think in broad stereotypes, you'll find that many Americans are more "Canadian" than many Canadians.
Oscar Perla your politics affects EVERYONE in the country and your people must address it before it becomes a military state, which is slowlyt happening with out a doubt.
1usi0n we already are a military state, we've been this way since WWII. us being a military state is a good thing, for foreigners. we foot the bill, while the EU and Canada get most of the protection.
arturo92376 no, MOST people live in smaller towns, theres a higher population concentration in the big cities, but the absolute majority population in America do not live in big cities.
I guess that Canada is no longer America's hat. So I guess that now America is Canada's underpants. Hey Canada, pull up your underwear! Your Florida is hanging out!
+Daniella Misyura Are you kidding me? A country that does more for FOBS than its own people? A country that makes its residents pay for them as they completely abuse our system and laugh at us? A country that invites ISIS related people over when most of them didn't even want to come or be here and the ones that did complain about the free money and stay their given? A country that gives them jobs before us when their completely under-qualified? Canada is a joke that other countries laugh at.
***** Funny, there was a report done saying MANY of the refugees didn't even want to come to Canada! And complained about everything and of course causing problems: dailycaller.com/2016/06/28/report-adult-refugees-enrolled-in-canadian-high-school-harassing-young-girls/ We save someone is this is how they act? Wow, big surprise there. 20% of them believe in marital rape and forced abortions. I could have called that one from a mile away. And it doesn't end there :www.frontpagemag.com/point/262534/justin-trudeaus-syrian-refugees-choking-assaulting-daniel-greenfield Yea you may have some of them" decent" people, but its not worth risking our own lives, or our kids and families lives when one of these actually do something or blow something up, which will happen in Canada sooner than later. Let 100 in, a few of them are bound to be big trouble and isis related even, and that's not worth it nor responsible of our PM.
That's a matter of opinion. I'm American, married to a Canadian woman and living in Canada for almost five years and I still would take the United States in a second...
+JP Sullivan Nope. Western Canada. And I've been to the east as well - not to mention that I pay a lot of attention to what goes on politically and economically in whatever country I'm living, whether it be the United States or Canada. And I'd still take the United States in a second...
+FuryC Briton here, and I agree. On the whole we love Canada and our Canadian brothers and sisters. Will be coming for a visit to Toronto in a couple of years :)
Canada has a "hate speech" law; the US is clearly superior to Canada on that score. In America we do NOT have such an abomination on our statute books and I, if I were religious, I would pray that it NEVER does.
Lol - "Us" superior to Canada" -- AHAHAHHA. Look, the overall picture is CANADA > US - it's not even close. Your ranked 144th on the global peace index, we're ranked top 10. You're ranked in the 60s for quality of life, we're ranked top 10. We're also top 10 in education, health care, and much lower in crime rates. Bottom line, you're not even close to Canada. You'd make more sense if you compared Canada with Switzerland, ireland, Sweden - because that's the scale we're at.
@james vaught if you do not agree with hate speech laws, then you my friend are a racist. freedom of speech does not mean you have the right to sling shit at other people.
it's not about gun laws, it's about Canadians having a better moral stance on guns. we have them of course, every country does. but the average Canadian doesn't need nor do they want one. you do realize stricter gun laws in the states is not the answer. as most gun crimes in the states, are committed with guns that are illegally obtained.
It would be really ironic if millions of Americans now move to Canada until they build a giant armed wall to isolate themselves from their poor neighbor.
***** Yeaahhh not quite the same though. First the Canadians would have to completely rape and pillage the American economy destroying all of their hope for prosperity. THEN Canada should put up the wall to keep them out.
I'm Canadian and one of my American professors (teaching in Canada) said that the Canadian education system is waaaay better and more advanced than the American system!
Please don't take this as an anti-American statement...but how can America be the number one richest country when they're in trillions of dollars of debt?
I don't even know. Our government is ran by idiots, voted by idiots. Most of our money comes from mass production. Then the money is spent on idiotic things. Like buying our "allies" weapons to fight wars.
ThisOneComment Some of our allies need these weapons FAR more than they need them. If it were not for these spendings many of our allies who are FIGHTING TO STAY ALIVE would be killed and their famililies be killed without our protection, and our government is not doing enough to support our allies. Neither is Canada.
As a canadian i would like to clear up that our increased wealth is likely from those disgusting tar sands and our politicians becoming bought out or as i call it "americanised", other factors of course is our much higher minimum wage, subsidised education and (i percieve) less greedy culture: people willing to share their wealth with their employees
One of the best things in Canada is the education. I’m in 5th grade. We get taught advanced things that are meant for 8th graders in the USA. I’ve seen some Americans answering questions about their country and about there state and math and bla bla bla. They know absolutely nothing. In Canada , Kids from 4-5th grade know more than 8th graders in USA. And possibly younger graders. Plus our education is FREE
The difference between Canada and the US. Is specially when we face a pandemic like we just did , the government recruited the best medical and infectious diseases to address the public about on how to minimize exposure and stay healthy , and after the medical experts concluded we would have to drastically reduce our social exposure , the prime minister spoke only about how we would offer unprecedented financial support to the families that just couldn’t afford to stay home , and that’s why here in Canada we have pretty much this thing under control most families didn’t have to wonder how would they be able to buy food and stay home not working we never heard our prime minister saying that this would be a few cases and it would go away like magically in no time , I can’t imagine the fear the terror of having Trump talk when you are going thru the anxiety of a very new and terrifying experience like this one I will never take this blessing for granted , because I have seen just how the vast majority of the people can and is directly affected when a government does not care about it’s people , and the general mental health of Canadians versus Americans is like night and day , I’m glad to pay higher taxes any day if that means that my neighbour doesn’t have to go hungry or live in a tent by my front door or down the street , America talks about creating a livable and safe society using words like communism or socialism like it’s a bad word, they prefer to have a mansion with 20 rooms and 15 bathrooms. With golden fixtures and water features , and Ferrari’s and Bugatti’s in the garage , even knowing that they have to look at the sick and the homeless every time they go out in the real world . Rich Canadians value their safety, and value knowing that at least their neighbours and friends have good health adequate shelter and enough to eat , much more than to hoard all the wealth ,so they have multiple golden towers on some pretentious avenue in New York , why is that Americans with power and wealth choose not to invest in the people and look at programs meant to nurture and support the average person that just because didn’t have the same opportunities or the same ability be it physical or intelectual , they are still people worthy of respect and a decent life , it’s not socialism , it is just basic human decency that lifts many many more out of the abject poverty and desperation we see rampantly becoming the normal in the states . Just as normal as the absurd and obscene wealth of a few that could never live a normal life amongst other people , or risk being robed all the time or getting the lambs and the Porsche vandalized and that’s a high price to pay in my opinion from the wealthy person point of view but they don’t see it in the states their picture includes me only , there’s no how much better would my life be if more people were allowed to live well and enjoy the life we are all meant to live , there’s enough for all of us to live life well , and the only reason we are not all living well , is because some , a few , got the advantage to get their hands in the pot , and instead of taking what they need to live well They thought , we make the rules , and I’m gonna take my share and and the next 1000 or what families share , that way not only will I drive a latest Bentley But my neighbour’s will be waking barely with shoes on , this is the type of mentality in America and just as they manage to convince everybody that is normal and the only reason you are suffering deprived of some or most basic necessities , is because you didn’t work hard enough , or. You are not as smart , so oblivious to your needs they block you from their conscience and their sight .like you don’t exist they get so busy acquiring property and yachts. Renovating the beach house every year can be so exhausting . this is the normal in the United States obscene wealth meet abject poverty not a sustainable mutually fulfilling relationship , I hope that sooner than later Americans do the math and adjust their perspective on living in perfect harmony with nature and with other men and women alike ,
I've wanted to move to Canada for a long time, so thanks for confirming my position. You can marry whoever you want, their national pastime doesn't have any womanbeaters in it, and they are kicking America's ass in almost every way possible.
Well people in New York and Washington state can, you can just pay 20$ for an an enhanced drivers license (which is basically a passport/ driver's license). Its actually very convenient, people in British Columbia (the best part of canada) can apply for it too.
If you watch some of the cable channels, you will see that the Canadian border police have been turning back a lot of americans arriving with not enough money to survive on during their visit or if they mention that they are there to work without having a permit or looking at the employment situation without a work permit.
Canadians (and yes, I am a Canadian) have always sought approval from the rest of the world … and most importantly, standing ahead of the U.S.A. It's like the jealous younger sibling. I tend to look at people I know on both sides of the border, as individuals regardless of nationality. I am a proud Canadian and respect decent people no matter where they hand their hats.
As a Canadian, I recognize that Canada is not perfect. Nonetheless, I am so grateful to be Canadian. I'm grateful for our gun laws, our universal health care, our general lack of corruption, our access to education, our regard for fairness....the list goes on. I'm familiar with the US. My husband is American. My sister is a naturalized American. My family had a home in upper NY state for thirty years. I have witnessed the gap between the rich and the poor in the US grow ever wider. I have worried about my sister's lack of access to medical care and the extraordinary steps that were needed to obtain it when she had no coverage from her employment. While Americans and Canadians are similar in many respects, there is no great fear in Canada about creeping socialism or the red menace of communism. Thus, we are able to debate about and implement programs that bolster the social safety net without concluding that it is an inevitable "slippery slope" to totalitarianism. Few here truly believe that the poor are poor because they are lazy. Still, much more work remains to be done in Canada to minimize disparities in areas such as access to housing, to ensure corporations pay fair taxes, to diversify our economy beyond the resource sector and so on. Shortcomings notwithstanding, I'm so glad I live north of our shared border.
Americans say "Canada is too damn cold!" Ha! The funny thing is that that is such a myth! Yes, in the prairies it gets very cold (like your prairies), and of course in the north, but on both of our coasts the winters are generally similar to American winters. Toronto is comparable to New York, and Vancouver (where I live) generally is around 8 - 10 degrees celsius in the heart of winter. We get around two snow days every year - meanwhile, in the States, you guys were freezing your butts off with -20 degrees in the majority of the country! Vancouver's weather is great - a bit more rain year round, but gorgeous, sunny summers that are hot but not boiling like Arizona, and springs and falls with mixtures of sun and cloud and mild temperatures. If you can deal with a cloudy winter, then Vancouver has some of the most even, mild, and livable weather around. It's funny how down in the US everyone thinks of us as freezing our butts off, but really on the West Coast we're always warmer than the majority of your country in winter, the East Coast is always very close to whatever New York's weather is, and the prairies aren't very populated, and experience the same weather as your prairies generally. Considering the majority of our population lives within 30 miles of the border, the fact that Americans think our weather must be so different in our populated areas than theirs, is rather hilarious. Oh well, it's good for us - it maintains us as a well-kept secret. Mild weather, healthcare, better general education, and a much fairer tax, judicial, and political system? Hell yes I'm proud of my Canadian identity!
I live in saskatchewan, and this winter was brutal. Today was actually the first solid day of tshirt weather. Takes a special kind of person to call them self a canadian :p
JackFrost306 It takes a special kind of person to call themselves a prairie Canadian, or indeed a prairie American! The prairies just in general suffer really tough winters, but for some reason all of Canada gets classified as being the same as that, and it isn't. We've had a beautiful, crisply sunny April here in Vancouver!
I'd take Calgary weather over southern Ontario weather any year. In Calgary we don't get any kind of rain in the middle of winter: freezing or regular. The snow doesn't pill up as high, and the spring thaw doesn't turn the roads and sidewalks into slushy rivers. Also, in summer, the rain doesn't make a hot day even worse. As for Vancouver... It rains a lot! Sometimes it feels like you will never get dry again. After so much rain, it begins to smell like mold everywhere.
This is part of the reason why the TPP, as a Canadian, scares the crap out of me because I think corporations would use it to get rid of the laws that we have in place already meanwhile further enriching the corporations.
I live in Canada, and it's ALL TRUE. Also far less police violence, even if we're not doing as well as most of europe. And the healthcare!!! No problem with existing conditions, or people who lost their jobs!!! No wonder our not-rich citizens do better than the US...
Already been here for nearly 10 years now. Went through the permanent resident rigmarole, and became a citizen on July 1st of this year (Canada Day). I feel like I won the lottery, getting our of America by the skin of my teeth.
I recently came back from going on a trip to Canada to visit a friend, and personally I feel that Canada is a better place to live and more fun than the states. But this is my personal opinion and you guys may not think the same.
+Coley Durham germany has had social democrats for 125 years + they have been in office frequently since 1949 and guess what germany is the most prosperous country in europe and yes it is more proeperous then the us. No post apocalyptic city districts and no ruling class of oligarchs/ cleptocrats. the idea of social democracy is to counterbalance the shift of wealth towards the capital owners which is a self destructive mechanism within capitalism and the interest driven monetary system saying. go learn about history and economics before you write indoctrinated nonense
Germany was ruined in World War I, then was a disastrous partisan dictatorship from 1933-1945, and was split in two as a Cold War Frontline between the West and the Soviet Union from 1945-1989. I wouldn't exactly call those periods of prosperity...
USA and Canada have a lot of things in common and a lot more things in contrast. Neither are better or best than the other. They have different government system to start with and both have different way of governing. As much as people may say how the taxes in Canada are ludicrous, which is not and it is different per province but as a whole if it's going to benefit every single people in this country to have access to health care it can't be that bad. there was a time prior to Stephen Harper becoming Canada's Prime Minister that Canada was not in recession compared to other 1st world countries such as the US at the time. Not to mention Canadian and Us $ were 1-1 in terms of it's exchange rate for sometime. That was not long ago and I suppose it lies within each governments priority. Yes US is a powerhouse indeed with it's military but there are a lot of things that the US could also learn from other developed countries such as Canada. The hate that has been commented on about each country is unfortunate. If for whatever reason each citizen from each country decided to move that's on their own reason not because the other is better or best it's what is best for that individual it does not necessarily mean that the other is worse. As what they would say to each their own. If you find that you like the way USA takes care of their citizens and you agree with the governments way of prioritization then go for it. If you as a citizen finds that you prefer the way Canada takes care of their citizens and you agree with the governments way of prioritization then that's your choice. Neither is better or best than the other rather different way and choices for it's citizens.
***** Dude don't you know? It has been established officially that we're Number ooooooonnnnne! Whooooo! CANADA, FUCK YEARR Everybody party The world is our hockey rink!
***** It doesn't matter what you think because I have a canadian passport and that allows me to be awesome whatever I do or say. lol Come on man you know I'm just joking
What shouldn't be ignored is the fact that the US economy was thriving under very weird and artificial conditions after WW2. The biggest competitors were ravaged by the war and US companies could take over their market shares, millions of wealthy refugees had transfered their money from Europe to the USA, the worth of blue prints and patents extracted from Germany was way higher than the amount of money that the Germans got through the Marshal Plan and the protection deals with Saudi Arabia created the so-called "Petro Dollar Circle", which gave the US economy a huge boost too. What we're seeing now is that the effects of those special circumstances have run out somewhere in the 80s and parts of the US economy, mainly the manufacturing segment, have to compete with others under halfway fair conditions for the first time since the war. The NSA still helps US companies spying on foreign companies (There are estimates that US industrial espionage alone causes the German economy damages of 2 to 4 Billion Euros each year.), but over all, the fight is much fairer now and the result is that US companies have lost a lot of market shares. Boeing is a good example. They pretty much had a monopoly on the market for mid sized and big airliners for half a century and now they are outsold by Airbus and the Chinese are just about to get into the airliner selling business too. I'm not saying anything against the middle class and I hope it can be saved, but it just is a fact that standards of living have been unrealistically high and out of proportion to the actual productivity (as bad as productivity is as a measurement for an economy) of US workers. In the 50s, 60s and 70s, when the American middle class was cruising around in giant station wagons and limousines and was living in spacious houses with dish washing machines and TV sets and more than one telephone and garbage disposal and was eating out several times a week and having a trip to Disney World or Hawaii each year, all from one income, the European middle class was renting and driving VW Beetles and Mini Coopers and eating meat once a week and was still washing their dishes and laundry by hand. That wasn't because they just preferred small cars or because they didn't work as hard as their American counter parts. I still remember seeing Arnold Schwarzenegger being on Jay Leno's show and how hilarious Leno found it to hear that they still used self-made carved little statues, actual pine cones gathered in the forest and if they felt like spending money a few pieces of ginger bread as Christmas tree decoration in Schwarzenegger's house when he was a child. Yeah, that was how it still was in Europe when Americans were debating what color of electrical fairy lights and shining tinsel to hang on the tree each year. In Japan the relative (to the USA) disparity between work invested and standard of living was even bigger. As ugly as what is happening to the middle class in the USA now is, to some extend it is a normalization. Of course that doesn't excuse the rich elites making it so much worse.
As for the median income shown at 3:44, it is very important to note that it is "after taxes". For example, the taxes in Germany are way higher than in the US - so the shown income "after taxes" is of course lower. However, these taxes are used by the German government to pay for stuff for which people in the US must pay extra (education, childcare, road use, etc.). So, the "real life" disposable income is not higher in the US - but most likely lower (in particular because everything is "for profit" in the US, e.g. shown by the absurdly high costs of education and healthcare).
I actually tried to apply for Canadian worker's permit. That shit is HARD TO GET and unless you meet some VERY specific requirements (i.e., you happen to be a professional in a field they need) your chances of getting in are nearly zero.
A little to the side; here are four ads that define (very funny) Canada: …. ‘Classic Molson Canadian Ad - 500’ …. ‘MOLSON BEER FRIDGE CASE STUDY’ .... Molson Canadian, Anthem 90’ …. ‘Tom Brokaw Explains Canada to Americans’
Remember what Mark Twain said, if voting made a difference, the government would make it illegal. The people need to take back the power and not big business.
You get it! We pay higher taxes, but we are happy and healthy! ❤️🇨🇦🤓. And we would never turn anyone away from a hospital who didn’t have insurance (what’s that!?) or a credit card. We would heal you, and if you weren’t Canadian, we’d figure it out later...
This is good, it reminds Canadians how good their system is, and some citizens forget that and complain, and ... it gives USA something to aspire to. Win Win
I'm 20 years old and I want to move to Canada really bad. I live in the US and I dont like it here very much. After doing some research and watching this video i'm definitely set on moving to Ontario most likely.
I usually disagree with you so heartily. This was so crystal clear, factual, and enlightening that I thank you with all my future! You may have just changed my vote!
Here in Sweden, our McDonald's workers have some of the lowest wages in the country (yup, put it to an American company to keep wages low) and they still make at least 50 % more than their American colleagues, and that's AFTER they've paid 30 % tax (America has 11.5 % iirc). When I had a job that could be considered "minimum wage" (Sweden doesn't have a set minimum, but it was as low as wages go not counting McDonald's) and I still made 150-200 % more than an American minimum wage worker. What I'm saying is, if tiny "socialist" Sweden can, so can the US.
Kevin C Funny thing, our last two or three governments have been working their asses off trying to make things as hard as possible for the poor, but the system is set up to guarantee a certain standard of living, and 40 years of Swedish bureaucracy is hard work to cut through, but man, they are trying.
Pile of carbon Yep they have been working their asses off so much that we have had the fastest inequality growth of all countries the last decade or so. But they have not been able to destroy it yet.
As a Canadian I can say that we have anything but a utopian society but we have gotten to a place where we are happier with our life here than what we would imagine it being elsewhere and particularly the United States. Now it may not be fact but from the outside looking in the US way of life seems far more one of taking everything you can get from anyone around you more than a "let's all live a peaceful and prosperous life together" which is what we idealize here. Of course it is not what we exactly have but if you ask most Canadians what they want you will probably find that they don't wish anyone to live in hardship and wish everyone a fulfilling and peaceful life. The last thing we want here is war and that is why we don't want our society to be wandering around with firearms as it brings a mentality with it. You guys to the south can live however you like and therein begs the question... Why don't you just change it? Make your country into what you want it to be.
Every winter, when it's super cold in my city (ie -40 degrees), and I'm stuck inside, my friends in the USA say "It's nice & warm here, you should move", and my answer is "NO WAY". I know 3 separate American families whose children were diagnosed with cancer, their health insurance refused to pay for treatment or hospitalization, because they didn't feel it would be "profitable". That alone is insane. These people obviously couldn't just say "oh okay, we'll just not treat then & wait for her to die", of course they were going to try to fight it. In the end the children did die, after about 1 year of chemo/radiation, then palliative care. *All three families lost their houses & had to file bankruptcy at some point in the following 5 years.* NO matter how hard they worked and tried to pay everything, there was no way, because the interest on the medical bills was racking up, then they were getting charged interest on interest. That is insane. I might have to wait a month or two to get into any given specialist for a first visit, but I have never had to worry about what something will cost! AND -- the whole gun things in the USA, also insane. That just anyone can walk in off the street & buy just about any kind of gun is *nonsense*. NO background check, no need to get any education about having, maintaining & storing guns safely. No gun safety classes, just "here ya go". Stupid stupid stupid. People here have to complete a firearms acquisition course, and have to have a background check before being given the special FAC required. It weeds out a lot of people who are either unstable or otherwise shouldn't have a gun. I don't even want to vacation in the USA anymore because of it.
the sad truth is for a lot of americans they would rather be poor and see other people be poorer than them, than do better if other people do better than them.
Can we talk about IMPORTANT ways in which Canada is different than the USA? Crime & guns, to start with. In Canada, you can get a gun but it's harder to get and you have to wait to get a permit. You can't just walk into Walmart and buy one right off the rack. Gun types are also restricted. You are not allowed to carry a hand gun in a city like Americans do, unless you have a special permit which is very hard to get. Of course, there is organized crime and they have guns but guess where they get them from? You got it, the USA and smuggle it across the border. Even with our criminals, we still have a much lower violent crime rate and Canadian cities have a much lower murder rate than American cities, by a big margin. Funny thing is, we also DO NOT have capital punishment in Canda. We also have shorter sentences for most crimes but we also have a lower rate of repeat offenders. Funny how that works out! The biggest difference between Canada and the USA, I would have to say, is fairness. Canadian society is a lot more fair and treats it's people a lot better. Studies say, it is much easier for poor people to get ahead, in Canada, than it is the USA. There are more government programs to help needy people. First of all, every Canadian gets free health care and it's good quality too. There are no deductibles or hidden costs and you can pick and choose your own doctor. Integration of different kinds of people is also a big difference. Canadian cities are much more ethnically integrated and also integrated by income levels. There are no all black or all white ghettos, as our cities are very mixed, with all races/ethnic groups living everywhere. The way we pay for education is also very different. In Canada it's paid for by the provincial government and the exact same amount of money is spent on each child, so kids in poor areas get the same amount spent on them as kids in wealthier areas. It's different in the USA, where the amount of money spent on a child's education depends on what district you live in. Kids in richer districts get more money per child, so it's very different than Canada. Last but not least, Canada also has something called "transfer payments" where the wealthier provinces give money to the government, to give to the poorer provinces, so every part of the country, shares in the wealth. It evens out the wealth, so the poor provinces are not much poorer than the wealthy ones. All these things help to make Canada a fairer country and also a safer country where we all get along pretty well and things run smoothly most of the time. Oh yeah, Canada also has 2 national languages, French and English. Those are just a few of the ways Canada and the USA are very different. Now can we talk about politics? lol It's day to night! NO Super delegates in Canada and our voting is run by Elections Canada, an independent, arms-length agency that has nothing to do with the provinces, so no political party can manipulate boundaries or other things to their own advantage. Welfare & disability is also done very differently, as are taxes, giving to charity and well, almost everything that has to do with politics, is done very differently in both countries. I could go on and on forever but I'd need to write a book! lol Do as I do, research on GOOGLE!
Don't worry, I certainly will remain in the US, the only First World Country that truly has freedom of speech. Hate speech laws are anathema to us, and may it forever remain so.
It may seem that Britains wages has been increasing well over the years, but as a Brit myself I can assure you the cost of living has also been rising, almost equally.
Well i imagine that's true since 2008 but it would have been a big difference between 2000-2008. Although I agree that the cost of living keeps on getting higher and higher and now it's exceeding wage growth :/
That may be true, but in the US the problem is that the cost of living has risen but the wages haven't, so while you guys remain relatively the same, we're growing poorer.
I don't know why there are arguments on which country is better. Both Canada and America are amazing countries and we are privileged to live in one of them quit fighting over which is better they are both amazing
Well said buddy. I came as an immigrant to the states and grew up there, worked my ass off, but I found peace and quiet up in Canada. Both are wonderful.
I'm Canadien and i say leave us alone we dont need war loving ignorants that care only about money please leave us alone.Canada,we are nice, not that nice
+Yasmina Attisano Well here's a hypocritical statement. You truly do give us Canadians a bad reputation. How about you execute some respect or mere kindness, hmm? Also, your misuse of "ignorant" is embarrassing.
+Acacia the thing Yasmina said was actually from Ellen! Ellen was talking about Canada in her show and made a little skit ( All of what yasmina said ), so if you have a problem go talk to Ellen or are you going to sit and reply to people regarding their grammar
Why do Americans feel like you always have to be the best. You're not, accept it. You're not even the most democratic and free country, you're the 21st country on that list.
Completely agree!
F*** USA. Toronto for life!
***** Ontario for life ;-; there is nothing to do here xD
I know, you came from a different planet. ^
I read somewhere, and I’m not sure if it’s true, but that 66% of people who file for personal bankruptcy in the US, it’s because of medical costs. Imagine if that worry was off the table. 🤔
I have read that some years ago as well and I live here in Canada. The cost of health care is astronomical and only the rich can afford it.
I had major health issues as a kid, and needed a lot of doctor appointments, X-rays, scans, a major surgery and a week long hospitalisation. If I would have lived in the US, my family would have gone bankrupt because of me... It's crazy when you think of it...
*Universal healthcare*, nuff' said.
Thank you Tommy Douglas!
Chad B Still less broke people due to medical expenses, contrary to the U.S.
+Ethan Reuben I agree. My tax dollars will go where they should in Canada, and thats my healthcare!
+Rich Q yeah...or toward secretive tribunals to pay China compensation for refusal to our land due to resource expropriation, yeah, thanks, Harper.
+WJCTechyman Lmfao.
I hope your parents are well again Sharda. I hate the US with a passion! They care nothing about their own citizens.
whenever you talk about wealth redistribution they always cry socialism as if that's a bad thing and they are so stupid its pitiful
I have no idea why these people are so patriotic.
Propaganda is probably why
The Childfree Curly Girl patriotic? the guy is crying
proud to be Canadian
this was 2014 before oil prices tanked, Canada not doing so great now LOL
Mrsushi1011 same
SiriusTeam1 he said oil
The reason for this middle class growth in Canada is investment in Education and Healthcare. The Canadian middle class has universal healthcare, private education, and public education.
3:27 - They're not that different? Yeah... they are. In many, many ways, Canadians and Americans are vastly different.
Anyone who hates Canada needs a little MTV: Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver!
Montreal is da best!
Hell yes
I live in Montreal, visited Toronto and now I just need to visit vancouver
ItsEquinox You know, you not wanting 'evil' Americans to come here really doesn't make you that different!
Québec city is the best
Trickle down economics. Might as well call it a golden shower, because that's how the average American is being treated - with disdain and disrespect.
Corporate and political corruption is a problem everywhere. Not just in the United States...
Adam Fisk But the USA likes to think it's above all that - truth is it's just as bad if not worse.
And you state *the United States has never thought of itself as being above all that*
Are you familiar with "American exceptionalism"?
America: #1 arrogants who think they are #1 at everything when they are not
+Kras 100% true
Yeah. You're judging the characters of more than 320 million people (Most of whom I'm sure you've never met) And you think you have the right to call them arrogant. Okay...
Adam Fisk
*Same as when americans judge the characters of more than 1.3 billion Chinese people, every day*
Adam Fisk It is true, they are always looking down their noses at anyone who is not American.
Very accurate video. I'm American, and if I could take my family with me I'd move to canada in a heartbeat. This country is garbage..
true
then move...PLEASE
then take your ass there
And if you look above you'll see a species of human we all abhor. They are known as arrogant Americans. Very combatitive and a blind species indeed. Their world consists only of them. Move along folks..
SO True! America has went Down! Canada is Awesome!
For a nation that still believes so higher on the fairy tales of the past, you sure dont fucking act like it.
sorry man im from Ottawa, we make jokes about Torontonians being stupid, i bet you guys do the same jokes about us.
Just stay away from the democrat controlled and or gun free cities like chicago, milwaukee, any where in california, etc... My city's surrounding area gets one murder every two years. We have always been a thriving area with high employment and have always had a lot of industrial companies. But then again we border Canada with a lake, lol.
ChilenoPiscean22 hey, were both Canadians here, lets settle this properly. 50 bucks says i own you on the rink.
CanadaStrong eh Dude im spanish...We dont skate. Thanks. Beat you in a game of soccer :p
ChilenoPiscean22 sorry cant play soccer, if i knock you over by accident, you'll be over dramatic about it. Soccer joke :D. besides, spain did awful.
Ah Canada! The brother nation of Finland. We both love hockey, have free healthcare and strive in cold.
Hello brother

I'd rather live and retire in Canada than in the U.S. Go Canada! 👊🏻🤘🏻
I am a Canadian 72 years old. Had prostate cancer 5 years ago was cared for now OK. Just had Lung Cancer. Treated with Chemo and 35 days of Radiation Therapy. Did not cost me a dime. Had great treatment and will get results shortly.
I'm glad I live in Canada.
I've always said that trickle-down is just a golden shower.
I was so excited to move to USA but this made my wish change to move to Canada.
I am an Indian.
You made the right choice, because nowadays America is FILLED with racism 24/7. I know there are other racist countries, but America is the main source of racism.
And besides, I've heard that Canadians are VERY welcoming towards immigrants.
Dude racism exists in Canada too, not something that's covered in the world media. May not be as bad as the US but it exists.
RaeX: If paying outrageous taxes gives you a thrill, then Canada is definitely your best bet.
If we help it to.
godonlyknows13 Like George Carlin said: It's called the American dream because you have to be asleep to believe it.
***** now that is a very scary thought.
***** now that is scary.
So very thankful to be a Canadian!!
I live in Canada British Columbia and it's great you should move there it's AWSOME
I freaking love Canada so much
+Daniella Misyura Are you kidding me? A country that does more for FOBS than its own people? A country that makes its residents pay for them as they completely abuse our system and laugh at us? A country that gives them jobs before us when their completely under-qualified? Canada is a joke that other countries laugh at.

Yea you may have some of them" decent" people, but its not worth risking our own lives, or our kids and families lives when one of these actually do something or blow something up, which will happen in Canada sooner than later. Let 100 in, a few of them are bound to be big trouble and isis related even, and that's not worth it nor responsible of our PM.
Lol I'm Canadian and I've been to America and honestly Canada is a lot better.
That's a matter of opinion. I'm American, married to a Canadian woman and living in Canada for almost five years and I still would take the United States in a second...
lol
+JP Sullivan Nope. Western Canada. And I've been to the east as well - not to mention that I pay a lot of attention to what goes on politically and economically in whatever country I'm living, whether it be the United States or Canada. And I'd still take the United States in a second...

Canada is just better in every way possible.

You meant to say number two richest country now, lol.
KB9NLL China would be in first, right? I mean, isn't China who America is mostly in debt to anyway?
Nathan Greenberg What allies are really in need of mass amounts of weapons right now though?
Don't worry, America. Harper is working hard to make us just like you.
Harper is the Canadian Bush Jr.
Jamie Lumsden
Oh crap I'm sorry guys and gals.
Harper's a big douche.
We need Jack Layton's Ghost.
Go NDP!
Republicans use the word ENTITLEMENTS where Canadians use the word HUMANITY.
I have been dreaming about moving to Canada for several years even tried to check into it couple months ago still have lot of questions

I wish you could take me with you youre so lucky trump is crazy
I am Canadian and I can't stand Trump either.
In the younger grades. So that we can know and understand what our politicians are doing as we become adults.
Renovating the beach house every year can be so exhausting . this is the normal in the United States obscene wealth meet abject poverty not a sustainable mutually fulfilling relationship , I hope that sooner than later Americans do the math and adjust their perspective on living in perfect harmony with nature and with other men and women alike ,
One nation...
UNDER CANADA...
A pet moose for every home!
You mean under HER MAJESTY THE QUEEN ELIZABETH || 👸👑🇨🇦
I've wanted to move to Canada for a long time, so thanks for confirming my position. You can marry whoever you want, their national pastime doesn't have any womanbeaters in it, and they are kicking America's ass in almost every way possible.
Canada is pretty tough on letting immigrants land if they aren't refugees. You can't just waltz across our border and live here. Sorry lads. :/
Pretty tough compared to what other country? What requirements are unreasonable?
you've never heard of pnp then. Atleast we charge them to come work for us though.
But the left here in the U.S. wants open borders, hmmm.
you cant do that in most lol
Well people in New York and Washington state can, you can just pay 20$ for an an enhanced drivers license (which is basically a passport/ driver's license). Its actually very convenient, people in British Columbia (the best part of canada) can apply for it too.
I'm Canadian but even after watching all of this, GOD BLESS AMERICA. IT IS THE GREATEST COUNTRY!!
How long until Canada needs to build a border fence?
05candyman good one
hilarious, other funny side is if you look out our law around immigration we arent on that side of the fence on these 'ideas'. pun intended ;)
05candyman Yes, that was the joke...
you do realize most young canadians move to america due to work later in their life
If you watch some of the cable channels, you will see that the Canadian border police have been turning back a lot of americans arriving with not enough money to survive on during their visit or if they mention that they are there to work without having a permit or looking at the employment situation without a work permit.
Canadians (and yes, I am a Canadian) have always sought approval from the rest of the world … and most importantly, standing ahead of the U.S.A. It's like the jealous younger sibling.
I tend to look at people I know on both sides of the border, as individuals regardless of nationality. I am a proud Canadian and respect decent people no matter where they hand their hats.
everything in Canada is better always have been and always will be!
No shit man - don't tell them our secret that it gets to 100F in the summer. Damnit! Shhhhh shhh they must not know!

I missed Canada, I love America but I missed Canada
Mixing up your tenses. It should read: "I miss Canada, I love America but I miss Canada."
James Vaught p
Hahaha you need to correct your sentence thou. Say miss not missed, You f***d up bro
God bless Canada, and everywhere else. Learn from us Americans.......
This is part of the reason why the TPP, as a Canadian, scares the crap out of me because I think corporations would use it to get rid of the laws that we have in place already meanwhile further enriching the corporations.
"it trickles down ON you, in horrible ways"
best summary of it i have ever heard.
We're going in an even worse direction having Trump become president.
I live in Canada, and it's ALL TRUE. Also far less police violence, even if we're not doing as well as most of europe. And the healthcare!!! No problem with existing conditions, or people who lost their jobs!!! No wonder our not-rich citizens do better than the US...
I love my Canada... 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
I had an image in my head of the 30% thinking we are heading in the right direction are singing the blame Canada song from south park :P
please dont come to canada leave us alone thanks!!
Lol ikr😂
Sorry we have to come! America Sucks!
we should deport all Americans and send them back to the USA.
Build a wall then, that seems to be the modern answer, lol
We'll have the Americans pay for the wall.
Already been here for nearly 10 years now.
Went through the permanent resident rigmarole, and became a citizen on July 1st of this year (Canada Day).
I feel like I won the lottery, getting our of America by the skin of my teeth.
You obviously lucked out!
I recently came back from going on a trip to Canada to visit a friend, and personally I feel that Canada is a better place to live and more fun than the states. But this is my personal opinion and you guys may not think the same.
Bernie would take us back to the top
+Coley Durham Capitalism and socialism together made Europe rich .... ;)
+Coley Durham trust me when u live there you live there u will understand the standards
***** you know what you are right dont trust any body on the net ;) i wish you all the best
It is a trickle down Golden Shower economics. Gargle it you 'murkin fools.
Finally a peacemaker

You forgot to mention the tax cuts for the rich in USAmerica.
ptegegn1
Those were mentioned in the video, also they are part of what I was talking about in the last sentence of my previous comment.
Another indication that the US is losing ground is the average lifespan is declining. Imagine that, your parents will probably live longer than you.
That shit is HARD TO GET and unless you meet some VERY specific requirements (i.e., you happen to be a professional in a field they need) your chances of getting in are nearly zero.
go Canada
yeah
@Fouzi vlog doesn’t more people live in California than all of Canadia😂
Beautiful presentation!
Wow he seemed super disappointed when he said middle class income in Canada is higher than the U.S.😂
Remember what Mark Twain said, if voting made a difference, the government would make it illegal. The people need to take back the power and not big business.

Healthy and well educated people make money. Thus free health care is not a socialist concept. It actually supports capitalism.
Be warned it's no cake walk. It get's extremely cold and taxes are much higher.
eXBouncers What city?
Adam Rasp Avoid Winnipeg.
Yeah i live in Toronto,Ontario and Winnipeg is racist as crap
Adam Rasp I'm thinking Cambridge
Some Americans cannot not take the pain of this news.
Canada is the best!
I usually disagree with you so heartily. This was so crystal clear, factual, and enlightening that I thank you with all my future! You may have just changed my vote!
Proud to be a Canadian
Here in Sweden, our McDonald's workers have some of the lowest wages in the country (yup, put it to an American company to keep wages low) and they still make at least 50 % more than their American colleagues, and that's AFTER they've paid 30 % tax (America has 11.5 % iirc). When I had a job that could be considered "minimum wage" (Sweden doesn't have a set minimum, but it was as low as wages go not counting McDonald's) and I still made 150-200 % more than an American minimum wage worker. What I'm saying is, if tiny "socialist" Sweden can, so can the US.
I admire Sweden for how much you take care of your lowest of citizen. Wish things along that line would be commonplace in modern governments.
Kevin C
Funny thing, our last two or three governments have been working their asses off trying to make things as hard as possible for the poor, but the system is set up to guarantee a certain standard of living, and 40 years of Swedish bureaucracy is hard work to cut through, but man, they are trying.
Pile of carbon Yep they have been working their asses off so much that we have had the fastest inequality growth of all countries the last decade or so. But they have not been able to destroy it yet.
Well Canada does really need more people to run our country... We only have almost 36 million people
+hi boy ok
yep. Americans should be moving here and leaving the dumb bigots behind.
Nah. We need people.
I like it like this tho
TheQw3rtyCon Wait until October 17. Once marijuana is legalized in Canada, hopefully a few million American stoners will go northward and not return.
They cannot ever change. They would have to admit they were wrong. And Yanks are never wrong...
Thanks for the Canadian plug. Free healthcare, hopefully pharmacare coming soon, and weed is legal. Only the rich get richer in the U.S.
the sad truth is for a lot of americans they would rather be poor and see other people be poorer than them, than do better if other people do better than them.
Judging the wealth of a nation only on the ability of the super rich to buy Porsche's and Rolex watches is crazy. We have to get our priorities right.
PLEASE, AMERICANS, STAY IN THE US!!!!!
True
Yep, I'll do exactly that.
I'm just happy that I have your blessing.
:)
Leonardo seems to feel that the US is planning another invasion on the scale of D-Day to bring Canada to heel. LOL
Build a wall
ProjectsBlack
Why are you describing life in the US? I thought you were from england. I smell pants burning.
ProjectBlack has a point but it's a bit lost in the hyperbole. But to your point Chakat in the UK we don't have to worry about either of those things.
Most Americans I know have no need to move to Canada, they have everything they need in the US.
I suspect most Canadians are quite happy about that ...
I don't know why there are arguments on which country is better. Both Canada and America are amazing countries and we are privileged to live in one of them quit fighting over which is better they are both amazing
Great comment!!
I'm Canadian to and I agree eh
+Yasmina Attisano Well here's a hypocritical statement. You truly do give us Canadians a bad reputation. How about you execute some respect or mere kindness, hmm?
Also, your misuse of "ignorant" is embarrassing.
+Acacia the thing Yasmina said was actually from Ellen! Ellen was talking about Canada in her show and made a little skit ( All of what yasmina said ), so if you have a problem go talk to Ellen or are you going to sit and reply to people regarding their grammar
So basically you don’t want republicans lol
Acacia ...I am Canadian and I totally agree with you! Run the U.S. down and then says how NICE we Canadians are???
Why do Americans feel like you always have to be the best. You're not, accept it. You're not even the most democratic and free country, you're the 21st country on that list.
Thanks for getting us there Cenk !!!!
