Just grew a bunch of these beautiful beans and am watching videos for the right recipe. I'll try marinated tofu along with brown rice, onion, garlic, onion and garlic powder. Wish me luck, thank you for your video, I need ideas and you've helped. They are pretty plants. One video, the lady suggested making the plants trellis in the front yard since it's so beautiful. Great idea and I'll be doing that next season. Fun. Now off to try my creation.

I grew them this season it was fun and beautiful, but I had the very same reaction as you! the beans were very very mild. I steamed mines first and then finished sautéing with garlic because the skin is thicker than regular green bean. The garlic really helped w/ flavor, I agree with you I don’t think I’ll grow them again next year. Also I let some of the noodle beans get really big n then what I did was broke open the pods and took the beans out and I’m gonna try and sauté them with some garlic.

I didn't even think of taking the beans out! I'd like to grow them again not to eat, but just for decoration!! Did your's bring lots of ants? Mine had ants all over them!

I use them in my wok, but a big skillet works too, add a little oil, get it ripping hot toss in a slice of bacon thats minced, then fresh crushed garlic, then the beans, finish with a little soy sauce and a splash of sesame oil. Tastes very good.

Hey GCG! I’m also Granny, in River Ridge LA, not far from the coast! Family in Pass Christian MS. What part of the Gulf Coast are you? Thanks for the honest opinion video. I’m rethinking growing these beans now! We’re all about the flavor. ✌🏼❤️⚜️

LOL. This is me with the zipper cream peas. I don't hate them but I don't love them. I will try another recipe. Maybe you had preconceived idea before tasting like I did. Thanks for sharing this.

These beans are great in chinese stir fry with teriyaki sauce, carrots, onion broccoli.

I tried doing the pan fry method and for me they are just too tough. Im looking for another recipe now and I think for me at least I need something that actually boils them for a few minutes to soften them more, then toss them into a pan with oil, loads of garlic, salt, pepper, maybe some shallots. I love the lack of strings too. Hate stringy beans in my mouth.

I understand, completely! Boiling these beans for too long though makes them mushy. Be careful or just grow a different variety. I'm with you on the stringy beans...YUK!

Perhaps saute the beans by themselves with a little garlic, salt and pepper and see what flavor they have on their own. I just bought some of these beans today to grow next year.

That's my plan for the next crop. I did decide to plant one or two more for fall to try again before marking them off my list completely.
