I beg to disagree on the realistic part. The dialogue lends itself far too much to deliver exposition than sound like realistic people having a conversation. I can agree with how sad it is about two sisters fighting on opposite sides, at least.
@@greatsage4ever this conversation is highly realistic and this happens alot especially in our world. Think metaphorically. Plenty of times where people have to choose a side to leave the other behind or go against them because of where they are born. Sci Fi stuff doesn't seem realistic? Yeah they used to say that back in the day until science blew their minds and proved it was possible.

The movies didn't invent personality even if specific types are rare. They are based from real human interactions and experiences. Often in military you can find calm types who dominate like shelke.

This my first final fantasy scene where I needed more then two tissues to wipe my tears and nose.. I felt so so bad for Shalua.. she is truly a loving big sis.. even if she came a bit late.. she suffered the same as shelke.. 🥺
I like her too. She has more character development than the others in this game. With all of the dark themes in the FF7 universe, her story of suffering and abuse while undergoing training as a child solider is something that has real world relevance as well. Much of her development is overcoming her emotional and mental pain, forging healthy friendships with people outside of the Underground, and finding a way to use her skills in order to establish a life for herself now that she is no longer a child soldier.
best fight in entire game as shelke having the fastest movement in the whole game and deal ton of damage, if you didn't equip the auto aim big scope , there's no way to hit her tho I keep dying in this fight ( no potion challenge ) but the soundtrack is too beautiful for me to feel frustrated

I know Shalua's appearance has changed a great deal, but I think it is hardly fair to say that to her sister. "You look the same as ten years ago," would have been much more tactful. Anyone else think that the dialogue where Shelke goes into what happened to her is highly unnatural? For a person to speak of how they became a shell of their former self is an odd thing to say. Shelke is not the only one guilty of bad dialogue in this cutscene. Reeve's whole pointing out of Shalua's changes is rather pointless when you consider Shelke is upset about how Shalua was unable to rescue her while she went through hell in Underground, and does not want to hear any excuses. 2:02 Shalua emulating Lucrecia Cresent much?
Because that's how you become. She's a cold calculated machine and is calmy explaining what happened to her because she's far past it. Not hurting her anymore. But a dullness about the past yes. It's realistic if you seen the behavior or felt that before. Looking at something excruciating from the past and being able to zone out and talk about it like a veteran. Keep in mind she trained to kill and not feel. It seems off because she doesn't look old worn or scarred. She isn't the same shelke she knew but cold and cut like a diamond.
She had to be calm and let her anger go and suffering and unknown thoughts in order to explain to her sister what happened to her while her soul is burning inside. She's supposed to be calm in great situations and this is one of them. She's barely learning for the first time what's happened to her loved sister aswell. She's scared to be weak and show emotion she just shows calm cold explanations and battle ready attitude. Don't forget she was subject to torture as a child and that's why she's calm and dark sorta reminds me of Wednesday.

I was talking about the actual words Shelke used, her "phrasing". For example, a person would not be likely to say that they are a "shell of their former self", unless they are really retrospective. Such an observation is usually made by other people.

@@greatsage4ever she's not a child but just hasn't aged. She's mature. Her demeanor is that of a diamond in the darkness if you get what that metaphor means. Someone calm in a situation they don't want to be in but choosing to master it and give into it. Someone sad especially.
