FINALLY! I’ve been searching for this game for years! I have the faintest memories of renting and playing this as a kid, and I could never remember what it was. I always thought it was an alien game since the futuristic stuff looked alien to me as a kid.

I just realised after many years. The laser tank is a Leman Russ from warhammer 40k :D Nowadays I play a lot of Dawn of War and that came to me now. A lascannon Leman. :D

A great soundtrack. I like its instrumentation sounding similar to what a contemporaneous movie soundtrack of the day to the War Games movie might have sounded like. As for instilling a tone, a feeling, I rank it as high as the background music for the _Command & Conquer: Red Alert_ titles (NTSC-U/C) on PS1. 👍

That and _Future Cop: LAPD_ (sourced from the Strike series) are good campaigns and 2-P multiplayer. Also on PS1, try a run through of _Alone In The Dark: The New Nightmare_ as each character. They take different routes and activities depending on who you play.
all right buddy? I would like to know which emulator you use to play, I'm using pSX v1.13 but I see that some information is missing when emulating it, mine doesn't show the minimap and statistics for my current vehicle, is it an emulator problem?
It will have audio. I'm guessing you have a .bin and a .cue file. Open the .cue file with the emulator and it should be fine. You may need to open the .cue file first in notepad and change the address in there to the location of where your .bin file is. You might be able to find an .iso of the game which should work without doing all this though,
@@AwesomeRickyC I use to have this on PS1 but my kids lost it moving so I can't use the disc itself. The download has like 12 bin files as soundtrack and one 2mb cue file. I open the cue with ePSXe and it gives a blank black page. The only file that works is the first bin but it has no sound during the title and in game.
@@AgentGibbs That sounds right! If you now open the .cue file in notepad, it should have a single line with a directory. Something similar to "C:\Documents\games\Wargames.bin". You need to change that line to the location of the first? bin file and with the correct name of that bin file, save the cue file, then open the cue file in the emulator and it should work if the emulator is set up correctly. Duckstation is a nice easy emulator to use. ePSXe has a lot of settings that you don't really need. If none of that workds. google Wargames ISO PS1 and hope for the best that you get an iso file this time.

OMG, mixed emotions because at the time i played this amazing game, i'd catechesis class on Saturdays and i had to read the book, that book you know, and those classes were a bad experience, nasty people around, plus the creepy tales of that book.. I was scared. The finally at home, the glory, Playstation, and this game, is what made me feel happy, so when i hear the awesome OST, classical music, war/military music, i cant help remember that mixed emotions days. Very very good.
I don't know why I liked this game back then and I miss it now my brother didn't like this game until he played it with me then we spend a good amount of time beating the game both sides but why 😂
You're emulating? Was it a .bin with a .cue file? Make sure both files are together in the same folder, that they have the same name, and also open the .cue file in notepad and make sure the location typed in there is the same as the .bin. Then use the .cue file to open in the emulator. The sound should work then. If not just search google for wargames .iso and use that instead of the .bin files, its easier.
