I love the brotherhood and comradely amongst these men.
Primos makes the best turkey hunting videos out there. My Dad showed me one of the first ones made when I was about 8. I've been watching them for about 30 years now and I enjoy every one of them. Will Primos is a legend.
I really liked it!
I had a question about the slate call holster type of thing that you can use without having to hold the slate call? Would really like an answer from anyone who knows because turkey hunting is my favorite!

57 yards? Is that a responsible distance to shoot at? I thought that the max distance was somewhere around 35 yards. Especially for turkey size game. Or am I making a mistake?
Just like in archery, the advances in modern equipment have helped push the max distance you can shoot.
This is a topic that varies from person to person. It all depends on your setup (gun, ammo, choke, skill), and the amount of testing you've done with the setup. Pattern density, and kinetic energy (KE) are key factors. Certain types of shots are heavier, which will generally give you more KE. It takes roughly 2.5 foot lbs. of energy to penetrate a turkey's head and neck. For example, with lead #5 shot, you're retaining 2.5 foot lbs. out to 60 yards, where as a smaller shot such as #6s only carry the needed KE out to 40 yards.
Certain metals such as Bismuth and Tungsten are more dense than lead, giving you the ability to shoot a smaller shot, which fills out your pattern better, but still gives you a lethal load at the same distance as a larger shot size in lead. Hope that answers your question!
