3rd and goal at the 2. Best line in the NFL? Best running backs? Monty just ran up the gut for 7. We throw and incomplete pass. This happened a couple times elsewhere on the field. But DC talks about 3rd and long being a problem. Run the ball in on 3rd and goal at the 2 and that enough points right there. Until they acknowledge this, nothing will change.
If we asked Jared Goff if he wanted 10k or 1 Million - hed choose 1 million . He understands the difference in value. If we can teach him a sack or throwing the ball out of bounds is worth more than an interception - hed take a sack or throw it out of bounds. This is a coaching issue... Train him... Hes not a QB that can win despite the team - hes a QB that can win IF Goldy Locks Scenario exists... It probably doesnt help that he was paid like a QB that can win despite his team... He was paid more than Stafford! Rams gave up their #1 QB draft pick, two additional first round picks AND a third rounder. We gave up a Great QB to try and build a Great team. You can win with Goff but he needs coaching and a goldy locks scenario. The Rams will maybe win two or three Super Bowls because they have a Great QB and they built a team around him. Goff has better Intangibles than any Detroit Lions QB I've seen. Stsfford - with all his ability - didnt connect with his teammates like Goff does. Goff has everyone saying his name throughout Michigan! That's Leadership. So I'm NOT at all against Goff - these coaches need to train him and learn his limitations and build game plans that dont require heroics - but rather routine QB stuff for Goff.

It’ll be good to go on the road. Focus on a hot opponent, and get away from all the expectation surrounding them right now. 1 game and week at a time.
