FTC has done a Deadman and I like the face on theirs a lot better. It's nicely sculpted and not as weird as Mego's. Only thing is I had to get a custom box for it since the figure ships loose without packaging. Still worth it!
When it comes to the body, its not apples to apples because you picked up a Fist Fighting Riddler figure from FTC which says it on the box against a modern Mego that does not. . The original Mego Fist Fighters also had similar issues as FTC because of this punching action. If you get the regular body Riddler, they are of equal value.
Thank you for clarifying. Didn’t realize it was a fist fighting. I also have a vintage Joker fist fighting it’s not as loose as the FTC but again never really take them out of package so for display purposes they are equal, which matter most to me and most collectors
What do you think of the Bif Bang Pow line, they had a lot of shows from the 70s like Six Million Dollar Man, as well as modern ones like Big Bang Theory (who else?).
@@Collectorsconfessions The skin tone is really light and they break easily, probably just due to modern cost cutting like the FTC figures. Still, having those SMDM figures the size of my Mego Super Heroes was a 50 year bucket list item.
@michaelleary9233 very cool that you could complete a bucket list item and agree with a lot of toys today they cut cost I think because they know in most cases they aren’t getting played with
@@Collectorsconfessions Yeah, they're mostly a limited run for us collectors now. Still, it's great they do things Mego never got around to, like FTC with the Legion of Doom, I would've sold my bike for those in the 70s.
Ftc wins out in the package and presentation. I don’t know if mego’s hands are tied as far as what and how the y can present their figures, but FTC with it’s kresge, retro card, throw back packaging- gets the win
THe FTC bodies are complete garbage. Loose joints and they are brittle. The cloth costumes are lacking the quality of Mego had (even back in the 70's)!

Yeah I have to agree some of the sculpts from FTC are definitely better. Would love to see you Deadman on custom box. Collectorsconfessions@gmail.com

One of the best Mego videos I have seen!
Thank you we worked on this one for a long time. Wanted to get it just right
most people buy these for display anyway :) they all look great together on a shelf :)
I have all of mine on display this video was the first time I opened one since I was a kid back in the 70s
@@Collectorsconfessions i have a few vintage toys in my playlist , 70s and 80s toys are my favorites :)
Love 70’s and 80’s toys you can’t beat them for quality and playability. Mego
Has always been at the top!
FTC just have so many different characters
They certainly do!!!

I bought a couple of the DC Pin mates from them, don’t have any of their 8” figures. How do they stack up to Mego figures?

@michaelleary9233 100% agree. All I ever wanted from Mego as a kid was a Flash figure

Well said Mego gets the nostalgia aspect from us old collectors

They are definitely made for display not for actual play. They never would have lasted a day in the 70s
Assez inintéressante vidéo, sauf pour qui ne connaît vraiment pas ces marques.
That's exactly who it was made for.
Are you CRAZY? This is one of the best Mego comparison videos on RUclips! How else would you compare two lines? INSANE!
