Smoked a spliff with Colin at the Auckland NZ gig last year. If you didnt know who he was you would never suspect he was a legendary as he is. We spoke like old friends. Truly an amazing person. Very very humble. Harf way through our spliff he glanced at the stage and freaked out and said "Oh fuck! im on!"..and ran on stage and became the lead singer of one of the most influential and longest living and gigging Punk bands ever. I feel blessed. GBH Forever! Punk Snot Dead!
Working-class poets from the Black Country. Bless you Col, Jock, Ross and Scott. Always in for the cause, giving us a good time, few line-up changes, top notch performances like a clockwork. GBH do not "try to be", nor have they ever attempted to; which is a trait becoming scarce in a fast-paced world and music business.
I saw G.B.H. in Austin 05,we drove up from Laredo....it was raining cats and dogs....a tropical depression.....we had an 8ball...get to the old Emos....get invited upstairs party with GBH ,bulemics, verbal abuse etc.,Colin asked if it would be safe to pass thru laredo onto corpus christi....we said it should be no problem......Colin is good people.
2nd gen punk bands all went down the lets sound like motorhead . Pistols era was do your own thing no boundries. But uk82 if you haven't got the uniform hair do. 5000 grand gibson LP....2000 GRAND MARSHALL STACK you aint shit........more conformity than 9 to 5 living 4 kids and a dog.
amazing how soft spoken and kind he seems.
And probably one of the most handsome men among the famous British Punks.
He is, believe me, Colin is one of the sweetest guys I have ever met ❤❤

Bands that respect they’re fans and love they’re fans are great
There was another GBH - Great British Heroes, played the Roxy in 1978. They were quite short lived however.

what year?
Andy Abell 1999
I honestly couldn't tell you the year because I was horrible at keeping track. This tour was Circle Jerks and GBH but I would guess late 90s
