They'll be stuck getting a draft pick in the 10-15 range for the next couple years like my Hornets. They have too much talent to tank, but not enough talent to get to the playoffs or past the first round of either of them makes it

@@granttried2hard840 Westbrook's was deserved he came off of an mvp; on the otherhand Beal made an all nba 3rd team last year and that's it. The only reason the wiz made the playoffs were because of westbrook, I had westbrook making all nba over Beal.

It's called putting asses in seats. They can't be good, and tanking by letting him walk wouldn't sell tickets. That's the only rationale I got though.

Pistons had the money and could have gotten him so that he could start as a wing rather than a guard, but a supermax deal for Bradley Beal is a bit outlandish.

This is a business move, as in make more money, be a borderline playoff team and not championship contenders. Donald Sterling did this with the clippers for years, and prior to that, after the 76ers won their chips in the 80s did thr same things.

Not every team is looking to compete. Most owner look at the team as an investment and as long as they make a profit, they’re good

The whole point of this is for Beal to play this next season in an attempt to show he is a top 10-15 player or a franchise altering player of value so that he can force a trade to a team that might win a chip while simultaneously having the exact contract situation he wants.this is the era of players forcing trades after signing monster contracts.
Beal is a great man and player, but I would agree 100% with this take.. wizards you need rings, it’s almost like the wizards look almost the exact same each year

Suns trade: Deandre Ayton, Mikal Bridges, Cameron Johnson, Cameron Payne, Jae crowder, Dario Saric, 2025 first round pick, and 2026 rirst round pick.

I mean If you look at the main things in the trade it’s a 33 year old Kevin Durant and a second round pick for deandre ayton who is 10 years younger than Durant and mikal bridges who is one of the best defenders in the nba and is only 25 years old along with 2 future first round picks.

Trippin… this is Brads worst season in 5 years and that’s only because Wizards trade Westbrook for 5 players which force him to pass more and shoot the ball less about 2 FG less and 2 FT less. He doesn’t have to run the point any more so he can shoot more.
Morris will probably shoot for 12-14 PPG and Brad can put up 25-30. Kuzma avg 17 and had his best overall statistics season yet. Kristaps average 22 on the Wizards while averaging the least amount of points a game compare to any other year.

Bro wizards aren’t THAT bad. Johnny Davis will be your future all star PG, you’ll have Beal to at least have a semi decent shot at making the playoffs and be your number one, you have guys like Kuzma who is a solid starter for a championship team, made a good trade to get Monte Morris and Will Barton who can be fringe starters or high quality bench assets, and you have KP who can hopefully prove himself to be 3/4 of what he was with the Knicks. You still have good, young, improving bench pieces. Deni has unlimited potential and can still be an all star with proper development. Rui isn’t what he was supposed to be, but he can still be a valued trade asset or premium bench player. Idk if they still have Thomas Bryant but he is a amazing backup center, and can even play starter in a pinch. If Davis turns out, this team could be good in a very short time. And don’t worry about Beal having a down year, I’m sure he’ll come back to all star levels this year. Just be patient and believe. Worst case scenario, it doesn’t work out and you have young pieces like Deni, Rui, Johnny, Kispert to trade. And very valuable assets like Beal, Kuzma, and Porzingis.
