Hi friends of guitar music,
"Wave" - one more of Antônio Carlos Jobim´s great songs. I like Jobim´s bossa style with these melodies, following special harmonies.
In my arrangement I tried to combine these 3 elements in my solo guitar version.

Honestly, it's the best arrangement i've heard of this music so far. The melody, the rhythm and the harmony combined just fits perfectly. Great job and awesome music.

then maybe try another guitar.... ;-))) What first sounds like a joke, is a serious Idea. Playing lots of different guitars helps to find one, that is perfect for you. With a good guitar, some things work fine, where with another one has to work hard to get the same out of it....

Herzlichen Dank dafür.... Und ja, ich merke schon auch, daß mir einige Arrangements ganz gut von der Hand gingen, was sich häufig auch durch das Stück ergeben hat, während manch andere Arrangements deutlich weniger komplex sind - aber doch auch Spaß beim Spielen machen....

Olá Paty, también me gusta la versión de Jamie Cullum de esa melodía. Sabes, solo soy un guitarrista aficionado y estoy ocupado en mi trabajo normal. Así que hay muchos otros arreglos que hice, que todavía están esperando ser escritos o grabados y subidos a youtube. Tal vez encuentre el tiempo para hacer todo eso cuando me jubile .... ;-)))

yes, Jobim is a real genius musician and composer...... and there are a lot of other genius brazilian musicians..... unfortunately we don´t hear to much of them here in Europe/Germany

Ahmed El Salamouny is actually German and about your level Gerhard.He is a real authority on Brazillian idioms too and written Sambas Choros et all of great merit to a player of your level. Search for his tune "Babacu" from his "Endless Summer" album, he is fantastic and sells scores to his compositions on his site.

What a great example of creative technique to get a really low note there in the ending. Thank you Mr. Gschossmann for a great arrangement of a fantastic song, I think I have over a dozen Jobim albums.
