The way she tells him her secret shows that he is the most important person for her and the person she trust the most. So far, I love this episode so so much, and I hope the rest of the episodes will have more memorable scenes like this and it will have a happy ending too.

The writer of this drama is really amazing. When the mom was dying, the king didn't let the ladies announce his arrival at the beginning (probably because he didn't want to disturb the weakening mom), but later asked for the announcement after hearing the secret just so the mom and the girl didn't get startled. There was no word but you see how considerate the king really is. There are many more moments like this. Love this drama👍

Exactly this is actually my first kdrama i have watched that Park Eun Bin is the female lead. Coming back from Extraordinary Woo, I just realised how the tone of her voice has changed to manly tone as well and is incredible how every role she acts are really hard like person with autism and pretending to be a king. She looks so handsome in the traditional Korean king outfit and so pretty as a woman TT it’s funny how I watched it for Rowoon but fell in love with Eun Bin instead hahha
That's what I think! She is so beautiful, but also the perfect woman to hide as a man. I earlier watched "Love in the Moonlight", where a girl also crossdresses, and throughout I thought, why don't they see she is a girl, she has a baby face and voice. But here, it is absolutely believable.
Rowoon's character is so in love with Eun Bin's soul, it doesn't even matter what gender she is. He probably felt relieved but this just proves how much he really is in love with her.
I get in terms of contexts of the time period. But he is clearly bisexual, since he loved her, thinking she was a male. So dont erase that please, its not funny in my opinion.
It shows in her acting here. Her acting foundation is solid. Acting as male in this particular role will be too challenging for a young actress.. But not her.

You should see her performance in Age of Youth (season 1 & 2), Judge vs Judge, Ghost Detective, Stove League, and Do You Like Brahms. All characters she played has their own dynamics, you almost can't tell she's the same person.

I love this drama and I love the character of the female lead. A woman who had to get strong and cold and had to sacrifice her true nature. She doesn't trust anyone because she knows that revealing her secret, means her death. In this scene, she herself decides to reveal it because he is the man she loves and he is the only one she trusts blindly. With this gesture of extreme trust, she is putting her life in his hands.❤
Alot of people thought that her being "weak" and "fragile" was a flaw and unnecessary but I think it was the writer way of telling us that she is still a human. It was the completion that tied the episode together..
People really have this misconception that a "strong" character is physically strong or even perfect in every way, when that's not it at all. It was also a problem in "Dali and the Cocky Prince" when people were saying the heroine was being 'weak and dumb' when she didn't know how to run a business and showed how naive she was, but her character has always been academically smart and naive, so of course she's not going to be a streetwise business shark. People seem to expect 'strong female leads' to have zero weaknesses at all, it's weird.
Park eun bin is solid in this role - hard to fine someone who's convincing in the male + female side. I'm actually pleasantly surprised by Rowoon - personally I thought his character was fairly boring in Extraordinary you (don't come at me) but his role here had some depth. I think the next couple episodes will be bumpy (plot wise) but loving the chemistry!
I'm with you regarding Rowoon's role (although he played it well and the character made the drama somewhat fluffy and exciting) since there were not that many varieties with his emotions and the story itself was only fairly interesting. However, I really appreciated his character more in She Would Never Know which may be because that is how he normally is, being chatty and playful in particular.

You basically throw any characters on her really and she would just execute them professionally and beautifully. Love the chemistry of the main leads (Park Eun Bin and Rowoon), I hope their love story gets a happy ending; their characters deserve it.

When I tell you I screamed at the scene, I SCREAMED! . I love that she didn't just say, she showed him😱😱😱. I screamed so much gosh! Finally. This is the best drama in this kind of story....not like other female as male story dramas.....I loved it....he loved her as a boy first .....and accepted that he started loving a boy....and confessed....and thank God it was her who got to reveal her secret....and the direction and execution of this drama is Bomb.
This scene was done beautifully! kudos to the director and also to Rowoon and Park Eun Bin. This was much better reveal than the manhua because Dalmi was concious and she gave her consent to Ji-un to be seen like that. unlike in the manhua, Dalmi was unconscious when Ji-un discovered her being a woman because he saw her undergarment.
This is one of the best dramas I have ever seen … Monday’s and Tuesday’s became my favorite days and I can’t wait for the next two weeks and I know I will cry my heart out, when it ends 😢😢 I just love everything about this show … it is perfect … amazing cast, no boring stories, great music and a second and a third lead syndrome 💜

I think Jung Ji Eun never cared about Hwi's gender. Sure at first he was confused, but accepted it right away and even confessed to the Crown Prince. Also, when Hwi was running away, he said he'll take care of him (her) because he's (she's) not used to the real world. He was already planning their life togther.

I cried when the little Crown Prince cry herself while eating knowing that she have to live as a man to protect her mother and her people. And Park Eun Bin, she is the best!!! Owning her character remarkable from her voice to her charisma to portray the lonely Crown Prince always feeling unsafe and unloved for 10 years. Every gesture or even a wink of her melting me. Dang she's so pretty in these scenes that I am even questioning myself. It's my first time seeing Eun-bin and she's a stunner! Definitely one of the actresses that delivers naturally. Also can I commend the fact that she did so great portraying Lee hwi? She's very convincing that I am stuck in the middle between masculinity and femininity. If I were in the drama I would not be able to tell myself lol. I think a man she represents has like a soft physique but is guarded by a commanding manly aura, guys I know in real life has something similar that's why it's passable. And can I just confess how I love the instrumentals? Definitely on my top dramas music-wise like the ones in princess hours and 100 days my prince. It's great to know her in this one, she definitely earned a supporter!

I tried watching some other K-dramas but dropped all of em within the first 15 minutes till I got to watch this MASTERPIECE. I'm actually pleasantly surprised by Rowoon - personally I thought his character was fairly boring in Extraordinary you (don't come at me) but his role here had some depth. I think the next couple episodes will be bumpy (plot wise) but loving the chemistry!
I'm with you regarding Rowoon's role (although he played it well and the character made the drama somewhat fluffy and exciting) since there were not that many varieties with his emotions and the story itself was only fairly interesting. However, I really appreciated his character more in She Would Never Know which may be because that is how he normally is, being chatty and playful in particular.
this drama is definitely giving rowoon the chance to show how great of an actor he is!

Park Eun-bin is so perfect for the role she is so stunning and convincing, she can be as strong and brave but also can be charming and weak.. her eyes are very expressive most of the time her eyes speaks more she don't need a dialogue her facial expressions and eyes can speak for themselves and the scenes she has are all beautiful

When I tell you I screamed at the scene, I SCREAMED! . I love that she didn't just say, she showed him😱😱😱. I screamed so much gosh! Finally. This is the best drama in this kind of story....not like other female as male story dramas.....I loved it....he loved her as a boy first .....and accepted that he started loving a boy....and confessed....and thank God it was her who got to reveal her secret....and the direction and execution of this drama is Bomb.
This scene was done beautifully! kudos to the director and also to Rowoon and Park Eun Bin. This was much better reveal than the manhua because Dalmi was concious and she gave her consent to Ji-un to be seen like that. unlike in the manhua, Dalmi was unconscious when Ji-un discovered her being a woman because he saw her undergarment.

I think Jung Ji Eun never cared about Hwi's gender. Sure at first he was confused, but accepted it right away and even confessed to the Crown Prince. Also, when Hwi was running away, he said he'll take care of him (her) because he's (she's) not used to the real world. He was already planning their life togther.

I cried when the little Crown Prince cry herself while eating knowing that she have to live as a man to protect her mother and her people. And Park Eun Bin, she is the best!!! Owning her character remarkable from her voice to her charisma to portray the lonely Crown Prince always feeling unsafe and unloved for 10 years. Every gesture or even a wink of her melting me. Sorry that I know you to late ☺️ I hope you can win an award for your hard work, Park Eun Bin 🐰😽

It's my first time seeing Eun-bin and she's a stunner! Definitely one of the actresses that delivers naturally. Also can I commend the fact that she did so great portraying Lee hwi? She's very convincing that I am stuck in the middle between masculinity and femininity. If I were in the drama I would not be able to tell myself lol. I think a man she represents has like a soft physique but is guarded by a commanding manly aura, guys I know in real life has something similar that's why it's passable.
And can I just confess how I love the instrumentals? Definitely on my top dramas music-wise like the ones in princess hours and 100 days my prince. It's great to know her in this one, she definitely earned a supporter!

I bingewatched the fck out of this series :D . I came across it, while waiting for new episodes for "Under the queens umbrella", which was my first korean period drama. I tried watching some other K-dramas but dropped all of em within the first 15 minutes till I got to watch this MASTERPIECE. I was seriously blown away but the storytelling, the actors ( amazing 👏), costumes, the drama! Watched 20 episodes in 2.5 days 😭😁😆
