Saoírse Ruane's death reported on RTÉ News (7th March 2024)

RTÉ News reports on the death of Saoírse Ruane from Kiltullagh in County Galway, whose battle with a rare form of cancer inspired the annual Late Late Toy Show appeal. Aged only seven when diagnosed with an osteosarcoma tumour on her fibula in 2019, Saoírse would ultimately pass away from the cancer on 5th March 2024, aged 12, with her family announcing her death two days later.
