Honestly, people say that, but I've had a few songs that were "our song" with past GFs, and I still love them. Nothing can really ruin a song for me, but then again, I've still never met someone I can honestly say I love more than music.

This song can be about more than a relationship... Like, maybe, a realization in your life maybe? That you're more than just some washout failure? I think that's another way it could be looked at. I mean, the title, the lyrics, and even the melody...

I think rather than saying they don't feel for each other anymore, there are just too many complications in their relationships that makes the relationship uncomfortable. However, when they break up she says the words that keep him coming back to her. However, at the end of the song he decides to move on.

Last few days this song got extra meaning for me. How perfect this song is. So well written.
I dedicated this song to my move from Washington State to Arizona. This song reminds me that I'm still not over it. That move was a year and a half ago. It reminds me that I am who I am because of this move. It's become a part of me, and it's helped with a lot of the healing process. So I don't think this song haunts anyone if the connect it with something sad in their life. It reminds them of their struggle, their pains, and everything that makes the feel normal, because everyone's felt it. thx

The song I may very well be leaving this life out on. Not sure what I'm going to do even if I were to survive my condition. A key piece of what kept me going is gone, and others didn't return to my side when there could've been purpose. The best causes and victories in this life have come and gone, and I think I might be ready to go. I have little faith left in purpose here as of this writing.
+Bangcat I hope you have reconsidered. Suicide is neither cowardly or bravery, but understand that if you have a roof over your head, there is so much you can accomplish. Even if you dont know how to make yourself happy anymore. Find happiness in making others happy. You are a powerful voice if you want to be. Be the person that pulls others like yourself out of your situation. Even if there was no one there for you, be the person that could have been. Make life better. Dont give up. Time heals all wounds. Purpose is something you dont necessarily need to exist. Help those that do have well intended purpose but cant quite reach what they need. Who knows, you might find your purpose through this philanthropy.
Part of the issue is, a person I really cared about cheated, then cared not to fix it, left, and all is happening while something is going on with an organ or two to cause my blood pressure to go dangerously high. On multiple maxed out medications to keep it in check.
It was just a real bad time to be betrayed and given up on yet again. Coupled with some bad past experiences, some real low points creep up. I'm just taking it one day at a time right now, still going. Just sometimes it's really hard to find the purpose or reasoning in it. I wouldn't really have to end myself, there's other things that could do it with only so much warning if it were to go real bad, or I miss medication.
But hanging on, docs might be getting closer to an answer. I just really wish I still had the person I once trusted so much that was really my foundation to hold onto in the midst of it all. Seems harder to find that right person sometimes, and further still the one that won't betray.
+Bangcat I know what you mean. I turned to Martial Arts to take the place of the faithful love I wanted. I recommend it if you are able to do it. Reading philosophy also helped me in times of distraught. Philosophers tend to answer any questions I have about life and put me at ease. Having faithful companionship is not something that can be extracted. It is part of one's character. The right person to be a reliable krutch will come to you eventually. Just keep your mind open, along with your eyes and words always being true to yourself and others. Mentality is half the battle. I really do hope all the best for you.
I'm already a bit practiced. Probably why there's certain lines I haven't crossed in the worst of times. But many do have it worse, and things seem to be turning around a little.

I used to relate this song towards me being heartbroken...but now I can relate to this song of every friendship I tried to keep. Well...they all ended. BUT well we always have to keep moving forward and one day I won’t feel lonely anymore :) cause i’ll find better people :) and i’ll do my best to make it work and not for it to end.

This song haunts you, and then you will have disgraced the song with the memory of her. You won't wanna listen to it because it reminds you of her, the girl who you left/ left you. Believe me, it's not worth the pain in memories. Go dedicate a JB song to her or something, that way, you'll never wanna listen to it, and it'll be okay ;)

I think this may not be one of the best acoustic songs they have. But don't get me wrong I'm not bashing it. I think that this song sounds best in acoustic because the feeling of the song gets across better then the normal version.

It really doesnt matter, Im 14, and could sing a song about war to a girl, and shed still probably love it, Everyone needs to be older to truly understand the meaning of a song, and what it represents, other than me obviously.
Being somewhat of a true fan of Rise Against, I have no favorites by them; I think that every single song they've made are songs of PURE AWESOMENESS.
Therefore, I really like both the original and acoustic version of "Everchanging".
(And I say "somewhat of a true fan" because I also consider myself a true fan of Avenged Sevenfold since I love ALL OF their songs, too.)
To me, both Avenged Sevenfold and Rise Against are greatest bands I know.

Personally I like this song better as an acoustic, could just be because the first time I ever heard it it was the acoustic version... But at the same time I think the meaning of the song fits better with the acoustic sound rather than the rock. Both versions are great though, just like this one a little bit more.
