I cannot say much about Thomoyi because I know very little about its origins and meaning. But my sense is that there is a genuine hunger to experience God and the things of God. But in the absence of a genuine godly experience to satisfy that hunger, some will seek to create their own experiences...in the flesh, which leads to weird manifestations. May God help us not to be misdirected in our quest to experience Him.
