Girl. All you gotta do is not style your hair when it is sopping wet 😂. Honestly I think a lot of people mistakenly think they are low porosity because their hair isn’t drying overnight, not understanding that things simply don’t dry if the water is not allowed to evaporate. In other words, you can’t expect your hair to dry if moisture isn’t allowed to escape (like from your bonnet, for example.) If you are indeed low porosity, just dry your hair more than normal before you start styling it. Remember, nothing is difficult to deal with once you gain experience with it. You don’t need high porosity hair to style it.
Wow thanks for the tip.. Im gonna try bantu knots on dry hair. I be looking at videos and mine always turns out bad and then i do a wash n go because that’s the only thing that i can do right.🙄

One thing I’d start with is a different type of mousse. That one you used has honey in it which is a humectant and pulls moisture from the air around you and if you are heavy handed with the product it might be why it took longer for your hair to dry and might be what caused you to loose the hold in the product when you went outside. I’d suggest getting a steamer cap and hooded dryer to help set styles before leaving the house since is an added humidity issue.I like The Doux Mousse Def it’s my go to mousse for styles like this.
A hooded dryer is ESSENTIAL ♥️. I'm glad that you aren't doing overnight wet styles, because you are right that having your hair wet too long will definitely weaken it. What I do for my low porosity hair is style, and then maybe wait 10 minutes for product to set. And then... I go straight under that hooded dryer lol 😄. Medium heat, and medium air. It will make everything so much easier. And even the cheap $30 or $40 ones from Walmart work great too.
I have been thinking about getting a hooded dryer or a diffuser because my low porosity hair just takes waaaaaaaaaaaaaay to long to air dry after a wash day.
@@HAlia-cb1ns Hooded dryers use indirect heat. Instead of direct heat like a hand-held dryer. So you won't cause damage to your hair by using it regularly. I haven't thought about using Curlformers in forever and you're basically showing why. From all of the tutorials that I've seen it takes smaller sections, HELLA product, and just about 24 hours worth of SERIOUS drying/dryer time to accomplish the desired look. THEN, particularly for 4C hair, it's only gonna last for that day and maybe 1 to 2 days afterwards. Wish it was easier for us.

Danielle I have 4C hair too and I watch Green Beauty also. I keep my hair stretched using my blow dryer. Now before you freak out I take many precautions to avoid any heat damage and blow out my hair safely. 1) I only blow dry my hair AFTER deep conditioning it, 2) I only use the cool/cold temperature, 3) I use a heat protectant even though I’m using cold temperatures and 4) I only use a ceramic tourmaline hair dryer on my hair as recommended by Green Beauty. And the result? Stretched out hair that I’m able to maintain in a protective style for two weeks. So on wash day I do my normal routine including deep conditioning my hair well ( I use Shea moisture Manuka honey). Once I rinse out the deep conditioner I then add the melanin hair care multi-purpose leave in conditioner (I see you use it too. It’s amazing). Then I rub in some of the CHI silk fusion serum as a heat protectant and then working in small sections and using slight tension I blow dry my hair straight on the coolest (no heat) setting using the best blow dryer in the world (in my opinion) the RED Kiss Tourmaline Ceramic 1875 Pro. You can get it off of amazon. My hair comes out pretty straight, extremely soft to the touch and I’m able to keep it stretched in a protective style for two weeks until my next wash day. Hope this helps. P.S. I live in Georgia too so I understand the struggle with the humidity. I feel like the CHi serum helps with this alot. 🤗
I put my hair in braids and then use hair ties to stretch it. I have to wait like 4 days to make sure its dry lol. I've seen more growth from just doing less with my hair and touching it less.
My hair is the exact same type as yours, and there’s no way for it to hold shape perfectly in Bantu knots/ curl formers if there’s no heavy butter to weigh it down. You don’t need anything beside raw whipped shea butter (apply it HEAVILY, not all at once but a lot per individual Bantu knot or curl). works like a charm!
I gave up on trying to wash and style my hair same day many a frustrating months ago. I gotta wash, stretch over night, then style next day. It's a labor of love

I watch some of these hair videos and I swear some of these chick are leaving steps out. My hair never have the results they have. I just wear a fro and keep it moving. Your hair looks great with the braid out.
Hello there, i really appreciate all the hard work you are doing with posting these videos as I have the same exact hair as you. You are refreshingly entertaining :) What I've learned throughout my journey is balance. If my hair is feeling too dry i give it moisture, if my hair keep breaking off and waaay too much its time for a trim (just an inch off the ends). If my styles are falling flat I find products that promote strengthen, such as mousse (softer hold without weighting my hair down) PLUS its not a gel that might turn into flakes. Like the seasons things change, and with our hair we have to switch it up every once and awhile. Anyways keep up the good work!!! I like being able to find people that are in the same boat as me!!

You don’t need anything beside raw whipped shea butter (apply it HEAVILY, not all at once but a lot per individual Bantu knot or curl). works like a charm!
Thumbs up just from the title, girl you have such an admirable patience
I have missed your videos. So glad the algorithm got it right, today.❤
I gave up on trying to wash and style my hair same day many a frustrating months ago. I gotta wash, stretch over night, then style next day. It's a labor of love
Lol when you came back in after going outside, relatable..
Your skin is so frickin beautiful
When it worked I was so happy for you! A victory for fluff nugget is a victory for us all 😃😃😃😃
Goodness ur happy. It's infectious, I just wanna be numb all day but here u r subconsciously spreading joy😁
Looks cool, like tentacles or snakes. Would be cool for a cosplay.
Girl your hair struggles remind me of my own. I love how relatable your channel is because half these you tubers just sit down and do a style and bam it comes out slayed to the gods. I do the same thing, and I look like a damn troll doll smh
Danielllllle!!! You are SOOOOOOO funny!!! Skin glowing and beautiful!!! I hope you are discovered and have a great acting career cuz you’re amazing!!!
I love you for sharing that honest moment 😂❤️🙏🏾and the braid out looks beautiful🥰😍🥰
It's honestly so crazy I remember when starpuppy vs. styling was a regular thing, when you were at like 60k, now you're almost at 200k. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
Super puppy you are so cute! I could see being friends with a person like you!
The look you gave when you took the formers out.... GIRL I NEARLY PASSED OUT 🤣🤣🤣 your face was my same reaction
Your editing is EVERYTHING!❤
I was in tears when you took those curl formers out lol 😂
Can’t wait to know the bad thing, which turned out not to be so bad after all😍😍
This is my first experience with you ever, I literally haven't gotten 3 minutes in and you're great. So fun and just yourself! You've got a sub, I love this!
Heyyy, when you do curlformers do you use a gel? If your hair naturally gets fluffy from humidity, having something with hold will help a tonnn ♥️
gel ruins low porosity efforts. no moisture or the style won't hold because your hair is too busy drying.
The victory you deserve 💜💜💜
The pure shock reaction you had on the first try was hilarious/ I love watching you !!!
I want to see you do MINI TWIST. I am Darkskin, have 4C hair, thick, high porosity (if you cared) and my hair also to the end of my shoulder blades on my back & to my nipples in the front. I never put heat on my hair constantly do mini twist. It is the key to hair health. It’s so cute and you can do many styles. I would like to see them on you, I think it’ll look so nice on you.😊❤️
Yesss that helped my hair to grow from collarbone to armpit length
I'm 3c. Spent $65 on those things. Curls would last half a day. Ended up giving them to goodwill. Its a great way to stretch the hair, but not style if you have high porosity
Thanks for being real! The natural hair life ain't what people pretend it to be💁♀️
I love your beginning and your facial expressions about your hair 😂. Too real!
This was everything!!! I'm so happy the bad thing turned out to be a good thing!! Can't wait to find out what the "bad thing" is. Only thing I can think of is bentonite clay. I love it but I know not everyone does
Hi I love your videos they make me so happy.
Your hair is so nice and healthy. I love it.
I love this video, I realized the exact same thing you realized , I only need shampoo, conditioner and blow dried hair.
You are refreshingly entertaining :)
What I've learned throughout my journey is balance.
"Detengles immediately" 😂😂😂. I fully understand the struggle. 4c gang I wouldn't change it for nothing.
I have not related to someone so much, nor have I laughed this hard in a minute. THANK YOU! You have a new subscriber.
Whooooole Lotta nope. Curlformers have NEVER worked for me
The editing is *chef’s kiss*
I want a sound bite of the maniacal laugh. It's like the perfect stock villain laugh
