Those hikers could have hardly picked a worse place or time to cross the tracks (pretty dangerous as well, considering the train was already moving toward them). As a matter of fact, were they trespassing on the R&N's property? I didn't think you could walk across like that. 2102 is impressive as ever though.
To access the hiking trail, you have to cross the tracks. R&N allows this as long as you are not interfering with their operations or endangering yourself.
Re. Shots thing, that’s to be expected in any photography hobby. There’s always going to be clueless individuals milling about unless you’re at a paid charter where attendance is monitored. Just something you get used to. It’s not like they blocked anything spectacular in this instance anyway; the wind blew all the exhaust smoke in front of the engine lol.
