Not gonna lie, that Sky Oceans segment made me a little misty eyed! Skies of Arcadia is one of my favorite games of all time. And I've been gaming since 1982, when I was like 5. So seeing someone basically created a spiritual successor is making me all kinds of hyped. I freakin' love Indie games!
The first wizard of legend didn't do it for me but hearing the devs from children of mortal are on it now??? I loved the CRAP out of that game, now I'm excited 😊
First was better, the demo for WoL2 made it a completely different combat dynamic and so far the general consensus is that it's a real bad Hades clone. Apparently they addressed some of the issues in the latest patch but for now, the first remains one of the best dynamic combat system
@@DanSilverhound hmm perhaps the game would suffer if it was geared more towards me. I suppose time will tell, I know the morta devs will do their best to make something good 👍
As always , October has so many good games that is difficult to choose just 1 or 2 . I want to play (someday) : blazing strike , awaken - astral blade , post trauma , anima flux & drova .
It would be interesting if Anima Flux or any Metroidvania co-op mode was similar to other multiplayer experiences. You might see other players while exploring or you might not. If you do, you can progress together or just continue on your own way solo. Boss fights are solo unless you both enter simultaneously or if you request back up when going solo, then if another player is in the vicinity of the boss room they can see a call for help and opt to join in your fight or solo the boss themselves upon entering the room.
Blazing Strike is almost here after too long. It is a competitive month especially when considering the bigger IP (Sonic, Dragon Ball and honestly Rivals is quite big for an indie IP) but glad we made it and have some other interesting games to try. Victory Heat Rally, Sky Oceans and Neva are some of the other highlights.
May I ask for a little request for these videos about incoming releases?, and also specify on the info text if the game is Early Access release, 1.0, DLC, big update, etc, thank you.
I'm very enthusiastic about the release of Wizard of Legend 2 since there aren't many good action roguelites the last couple of monthes. Being developed by Dead Mage, it definitely gonna feel a bit different but I really enjoyed Children of Morta so I'm not worried at all.
AWAKEN - Astral Blade and Europa both blew me away with those demos. Easy day one buys. The Kill Knight and Anima Flux demos did little for me. I didn't realize Guild Saga had a demo, too, so I've got to give that a try. Anything to hold off the FFT shakes while Square sits on the remake/remaster.
I bet people have forgotten Radio the Universe, it's been in development for lome a decade. I actually looked it up and it's on Steam it has a demo. So it must be coming out soon..
Ok, I need some help. I think it was one of your videos. I'm trying to find a game, which is 2d pixel, NES like, takes place in a dungeon, is a platormer, 3 playable characters, where the mage/sorcerer is yellow who sold their souls to the devil in order to re do the dungeon, and his friends, which are red (maybe archer) and blue (maybe knight).
I get what you mean, but it can be easier on their artists and significantly nicer for their marketers and content creators. That being said, I'd like to see more games tackle the challenge of having a "modern 3D" mode and a "classic 2D" mode. Dragon Quest XI did this and it may not be too crazy for a fighting game even if it may have presentational and mechanical implications.
@@thelastgogetaI work as a pixel artist and have some developer friends, so I can see that from a financial and ease point of view 3D easily beats the old Frame by frame
A good computer game for teenagers seems to me to be a computer game in which they can be rebellious, for example blowing up things with heavy fireworks, Joyriding, Smoking. Wrong things are punished in such a way that it is instructive, for example, if a player in the computer game smokes a cigarette once, this means that money from the player's money in the computer game decreases every day. The story of the computer game could be that the mayor of the city managed to get everyone on holiday, but the rebellious teenagers were not allowed to come along and neither were the illegal fireworks traders.
saying pixel art is your preference is weird. you want to highlight how indie games can be more than pixel art to reach more customers, no? always insta-skipping pixel art games that have no extraordinary concept like lets say minecraft
its not weird, some people grew up on pixel art (like me) so it looks super nice. Some people like the 3D look of minecraft, but for boomers like me it looks jank af. But to others it gives gives the same great feeling. People are allowed to have their own preferences.
Not weird, people have preferences. Disagree on "how indie games can be more than pixel art to reach more customers". There isn't "more than", good pixel art beats bad polygonal/3D visuals, and one is not inherently better than the other.
21:06 with Wizard of legend 2, maybe they'll give you a pixel overlay option in the menu, you could also just play it in 720P it looks like hades now, which I'm not a fan of
That Post Trauma to Fruitbus juxtaposition was S-tier.
every time I see Drova-Forsaken Kin, I always see it as Drova- Foreskin
3:12 what a transition
absolute cinema
Blazing!
I would LOVE a video dedicated to racing games!
Europa looks stellar. If it's as good as it looks, might be a goty contender for me.

Shin Chan... i totaly forgot about that series. I loved it! 100% Whishlisted

Hi, Clemmy! A video on racing games would be nice, yes.
15:48 Europa's demo was such a fun game to play! Definitely gorgeous!
I'm so fuckin ready for Streets of Rogue 2
Shin Shan omg 😂 I will totally get this
I need to play Europa and Sky Oceans will definitely hit my list as well! Thanks for the awesome breakdown!

No problem 😊

Clemmy: October is coming so you know what that means.
Me: Oooooo
Clemmy: Cozy games galore
Me: Oh😅
We DEFINITELY need a side video on indie racing games (with stuff like Super Retro GP and DDI Rally Championship in it)
I've been waiting for the return of aracde racers!
Very excited for Awaken Astral Blade. Hopefully it’s good.

Forsaken Kin looks great. Maybe I'll give it a look.
Neva looks freaking sick devolver is publishing pretty interesting games , there is a game called possessors that looks too good as well
Made by Heart Machine, should be good

Yes Racing games Please
Sky Oceans: Wings for Hire seems much more inspired by French animation rather than Ghibli.
Uh-oh. How many barely disguised fetishes will it have?

Astalon: Tears of the Earth
Europa has combat. I've played the demo.
ah! thanks
A pretty uninteresting month for me, which is good because september was so crazy!
Factorio hell yeah
yeahhhh
NIMRODS! lfg!
Drova looks way way similar to Children of Morta - you sure it's not the same developer?
To be completely honest I don't like it when a pixel art game goes full 3D, I understand why but I don't like it.

Probably yes
early access, so I'm guessing for now
how is shin chan an indie game....
Meh except for V-Rally
Much respect for those indie devs. Truly! Cuz lately AAA games becoming gay af
After calling things ‘gay af’ I don’t think the indie games want your respect. You aren’t respectful.
October indie fest 😃
oof...Rivals of Aether looks really bad. a real downgrade from the look of the first game. thats a shame because that dev is great.
Sky Oceans' character designs look like shit, ngl.
