You just changed my life as a quilter! Great tutorial, no unnecessary chatter!
I Watch this the other day And tried it, I am new to quilting and only have done maybe six quilts. After trying the glue method I was so surprised! I was able to do the border on my quilt and the squares! it worked GREAT Thank You SO MUCH!!!
I have been quilting for over 20 years and all I have to say is "Wow!" I still have a hard time maintaining complete accuracy (which is why I havrn't entered many shows), and am going to try this as soon as I can get my hands on those tip-thingies.
Interesting, I've heard quilters talk about this, great tutorial!
Great tutorial, thanks. Am converted to this method now :)
SEW happy I came across this information! Thank you🍀
Oh wonderful... I love doing this method. Its an extra step but sure is worth it! I am new to quilting and have been pressing all my seams to the side... I was wondering when you prefer to use open seam pressing and why? Its a bit off topic so hope you don't mind the question. Thanks.
This is an awesome technique for All Types Of Sewing
Excellent video!
You said Elmer's glue does not negatively affect fabric - I don't think so, as Elmer's School glue is NOT archival in nature. If you have not washed your quilt when finished, in time your quilt could "yellow" or look aged ahead of its time.
Good video.
FYI Your link in the description, to the fine glue tips you have for sale, is broken.
Awesome.
Where can I buy the fine tip for the glue bottle? I’ve never seen it offered anywhere.
Does the glue gum up the needle?
great idea and will save all the pinning
I did not understand how to prevent clogging, can you tell me how, please? Thank you so much. I do want to try this.
wow, thank you
How does the glue not seep through the fabric and leave stiff fabric or bleed the dyes?
I wonder if the glue tips would work on a bottle of liquid stitch?
Sounds great for certain projects. However, no ironing a seams
open.
That glue work in sunbonet quilt
Where do you buy the tip for the glue bottle?
You can find it in my shop here: pileofabric.com/collections/supplies/products/glue-tips
How do you nest the seams?
What surface are u ironing on it
mmmm - imagining glue on the table, on the iron, clogged tip on glue dispenser. Doubting Thomas here.
Elaine, try it! I have had NO problems with my iron or even my table. I store my glue upside down in between gluing which keeps glue from settling and replace cap at end of session. Any clogs in tip? ...just slip a pin in (but don't leave it in as it will rust). I use this method and love it.
I use a glue stick
