@@gregcamilo4856 some RUclipsr did coverage on it. I forgot his name but it was a big ordeal. I think they went as far as made a fake clan with members from their clan to enter the tournament and then the fake clan members obviously threw the match so the main members could advance

Am I the only one who thinks that playing in these kinda games is like playing chess with a multıple combinations plus more people participating and itis more vibrant and vivid to watch out as a spectator and player. My childhood and adulthood game. thanks so much for apollo to make us include in these games.

That's what happens when you get two fantastic teams. Can't wait to see how Hungry Wolves do on the defence.
Tip: If your volume level is barely hitting red while speaking that is okay, but the higher your overall volume after that the more distortion you will hear. I can tell your voice has some, especially when you are excited. You could use a "limiter" or a "compressor with 100:1 ratio or higher" to create a "wall" that will not allow your voice to get louder when you speak with more energy. In other words when you speak louder your voice will remain around the same volume for listeners ;) great video though, I love your commentary!!!!!

You know, this series finally made me invest all my money into Rome 2.
Just as good on the replay....shows even more how well the Lusitani player played....great tactics to minimise losses against kills.... and the Pontic charge...awesome!
I wish they gave Attila the same TLC they gave Rome2 because there's a LOT about Attila I love especially in campaign
Im at 33:26 The magical play the Hungry wolves did pour in plenty of infantry into the breach so that the defenders would probably invest plenty skirmishing ammo into big blobs of attacking infantry. So in late game, the defenders ammo will be depleted which is more needed on taking out the pikemen. The hungry wolves plan in late game was. Pikemen + archers indeed. I dont really play this game but Im happy to share my analysis. :>
After watching the game. The plan didnt go out as planned. because of the horse unit that was left to the last :

daniel smith Defenders have Macedonia, Lusitania, and Pontus. The attackers have Kushite, and Selucids

You know what's pretty admirable? The fact that the attackers killed 399 more men than the defenders did, and the defenders still won.

I think it was a good idea of macedon to keep an artillery at the citadel. Putting them on the forward walls they seem to get taken out really quick and do barely anything. I think it makes sense to put as many as you can on the citadel walls instead.

Really loved the battle and commentary. Thanks for not going overboard with shouting and just doing a sane play-by-play.
Only criticism is that it is too hard to follow when factions are using similar colours. If this became an on-going thing, I'd hope for that to change so it is immediately obvious which faction's units are which a la Starcraft or clash guernseys in sport.

I haven't watched the whole battle yet, but why didn't the defenders set up archers on the wall? they can use flaming shots to burn down all incoming siege weapons.

What did the Seleucid player think when he opened a path for the Pontus cavalry
He had no choice with only 2 melee infantry. His general body guards were losing their fight. I think he did the best thing by opening the way, so Pontus would bring in his cavarly and get shot down by the archers.
Normacly ig my anger that hungry wolves lost made me blind on the current situation

I've played a lot of strategy games including Rome 1 and 2 and this is my first time seeing stone wall being rammed. The thing used for that purpose seems very unfamiliar to me aswell. Is it made for the game only or inspired by real siege equipment?
The only difference between the weapon used in the video and the weapon used in the antique is that in the antique time this weapon was a little bit slimmer looking more like a tower ram while in the game it looks like a pyramid

It is total war: Rome 2. It's been out for a while but still worth getting, as with most total war titles. Depending on what you're interested in I would recommend total war: empire (cheap these days and still solid, takes place in 1700-1800) total war: warhammer 2 (epic warhammer fantasy) total war: Rome 2 (this game, still great) total war: three kingdoms (takes place in 3 kingdoms era China, same time period as the dynasty warriors games) really any of the total war titles are great games. If you like history and strategy games they are well worth the money, and even the older titles hold up very well
Watching this I'm just amazed that mount and blade is so before it's time. Rather play that then this especially with all the new mods
Around 45th min of the video I'm sitting here wondering why the Defender didn't use the Pontic Cav unit to go through city centre and attack the undefended archers?
Why does it seem Lussitani is picked relatively often on siege defence battles? Their roster isn't all that great for defending. Or am i missing something? ( Im writing this before finishing the video haha)

6:15 frontal cavalry charge on heavy infantry, NOT on archers, bad move, not to be praised
They were targeting the archers with the charge the heave infantry were just able to get in the way in time for a quick defense, I agree bad move on attackers part but I don't think he intentionally led his men to a slaughter
