Because its easy to divide ww2 into 2 parts. One where Germany fights the western powers and the other where the Soviets and the Americans properly joined the fight, making it an ACTUAL world war.
No you cant divide WW2 into 2 parts because Germany was fighting the allies since 1939, only France surrendered, however Britain still remained and continued to fight the Axis in Africa as well as Europe

The event about the American civil war mentions that some people do prefer Long as the victor, so sending volunteers to Long isn’t wrong imo
