This was really awesome! 😍 favourite moment I'll probably never forget, Oysters in Nantucket. Still my favourite times to date on these programs.
That is so amazing! Thank you for sharing my friend. 🤩
Hi there, thank you for this channel. Very useful and helpful information.
I will be having my interview with a country club soon through an agency you recommended!
Any tips on how to prepare for the interview with the country clubs? What sort of questions do they ask? What questions can I ask?
Hi again Phumzile,
Thank you for your comment.
Congratulations on your interview🥳 I’m so exited for you.
So questions they may ask
What type of experience do you have?
Tell me a bit about yourself?
What type of service do you prefer, fine dining, banquets, fast casual and if you are able to do all types of service?
Describe your service style( are you friendly, engaging, show attention to detail)
Do you have any wine service knowledge?
Questions you can ask,
How big is the team?
What is a typical day like at the club?
Do you have ongoing training?
Does the menu change often?
Is there transport to the club?
I hope this helps for your interview - please let me know how it goes and let me know where you end up going?
All the very best.
Hey Phumzile, do you have advice on the application process. Specifically how to have a winning application. I just applied with Petrina but I didn't upload my resume because it's not up to date but immediately regretted it after. I'm going to try Work Away and MLInt and would appreciate any advice
Nice information here. Very accurate.
Hard work but well payoff jobs and the companies takes care of you.
Yes - its a great way to work and live in another country and earn dollars.
Hi! Thank you for this! Very informative ❤️
I’d love to know if you get a travel month/grace month to do stuff in the US after your 6 months is over?
Hi Nandi - Thank you so much for commenting and watching my content.
So you have a very interesting question - Lets say you have a 6/7month visa - and the end date is 25 May (Whereby you should return home) - The way I understand it - is that you will need to either return home on or before that date OR be in the process of a visa extension which allows you to work another season. Time off can be negotiated with your club and management before end date of contract however i'm not certain a month would be permitted as a time off request.
In between season myself and my fiancé always negotiate our end dates and start dates so we have roughly 10-15days to travel and get to the next club which has worked out great for us. I hope this info helps.
Are you thinking about applying to work in the USA as an H2B?
Thank you so much for this informative video💞.
I wanted to ask if you have to pay for the accommodation provided or is it free?
Hi Buhle, thank you for watching my content. 😇
So accommodation is something you will pay for. In most cases it is shared accommodation so you will share a room or share an apartment with others.
Are you planning on applying for the H2B program?

Thank you so much for your repsonse.💞
And yes I am planning on applying.
I have already applied to the two agencies you recommended in one of your videos (Petrina and Workaway.)
I'm super excited and I can't wait for either one of them if not both to get back to me ❤️.
Any tips on how it works going outside the country club and travelling/going on outings
Hi Nicole,
Thank you so much for your comment.
So it’s likely you won’t live on the country club property - you would be placed in an apartment that you share with others.
So it’s possible to get an Uber and share rides to go to places.
If you are hired through workaway - they arrange group outings to Universal studios or Disney. But if you are hired with another recruiter you could arrange that with your coworkers and do it together.
Getting around one could use public transport or Ubers. It’s challenging of coarse when you don’t have a car but it’s still possible to get out and about.
You could even arrange some time off during your season and fly to another part of the country if you have a bucket list. This time off can be requested and most likely approved when the club isn’t busy so towards the end of the season.
@@savourthemoment thank you so much that’s super helpful 🙏🏼
Hi there new subbie here, i would like to do this poigram but i do not have experiance i just have my N6 certificate in travel and tourism so my question is do i qualify for H2B? TIA
Hi Gugu,
Thank you for subscribing to my channel and for reaching out to me.
Congratulations on your certification. 😇
The H2B visa I am on is mainly to do with hospitality and food & Beverage -
It’s always an advantage to have a little experience as it means that you will walk into the role of being a server with some confidence.
My advice is to apply to all the recruiting companies I mentioned and shoot your shot. Someone in your interview may talk to you and realize that even though you have little experience that you are worth being added to the team - everything you will learn on the job anyway so there’s that.
I wish you all the best and hope to see you flying over here soon. 🙏🏽😇
Do they have a age limit on the H2B visa? I am 42 years and would love to do this? I have about 15 years experience in hospitality.
Hi Again Hilna,
So it does get a little more tricky to apply through agencies especially Workaway as they have an age limit.
There are incredible recruitment drives like Kendrick Recruitment in SA that recruit for the middle east AND other countries for someone with your experience or even the cruise liners where age limits aren't a factor...
Hello! We apply also as h2b this sept 2022. What date we expect to have our interview in our visa or done our application. Thank you 😊
Hi Randolph, thank you for your message. This is a question you must ask your recruiter if you have been given an offer letter they should let you know when you need to get your visa appointment. (There is paperwork they need to provide you so that you can apply for the visa) The season for winter 2022 has started so you should also ask when they expect you to be travelling to the USA.
@@savourthemoment Thank you so Much for the advice. Our employer said we must prepared within 6 months.
