A nice book collection a bit like my own. When are you heading out to the great outdoors, looking forward to seeing some more of that great state you live in. All the best. Sean
I consider Alekhine as the better attacker, but I'll put Tal above him because of spectacular brilliancy. One pattern I notice that Tal does is that he takes on the weak kingside pawns if the King is the only one defending it.
Listening to your explanation of the first few moves of the Ruy Lopez, I'm not sure if you are aware of the fact that, when white plays his rook to e1, its not just to clear the f1 square for his knight. It defends the e-pawn. Now, if black does not kick the bishop with ...b5, white is threatening to take the c6 knight then win black's e5-pawn.
This video is so nice I had to watch it twice! Brilliant game and analysis!

Soon. It's almost May and the weather ought to clear up a bit. I love doing outdoor vids too.

Great man. Me and my son are fan of you.
Amazing game!
What if at 18:53, black moved the queen to d7, creating a bishop/queen diagonal attack on the white kings setup? That is what I was expecting...
+duncandogster I think black would have won, showcasing your idea to go for your plan and ignore the diversion...
great game mikhail tal its my idol
11:05. Or if the King takes the Bishop, Queen b3 check, taking the Knight on d3.
