When I was in Morocco I always ended up with Berbers. Great people, so very helpful and kind. Best hosts ever. They are very ancient and they are very spiritual. But when we went in to the Sahara and were accommodated by Berber/Tuareg camp it was magic. The bled, the stars, the fire, the songs, the dances. And finally the trip back to Marrakesh and listening to Tinariwen was like going stratospheric!
I have experienced this too, I have been to Morocco twice, once was the Sahara desert, I have tickets for a Tinariwen concert in UK, looking forward to it

Tinariwen videos are the only place on youtube I've found that have no negative comments. Feels like this music brings everyone together. Seriously, on one of their videos I found a man from Western Sahara who offered to buy and ship a traditional drum to a man who was wondering where to find one. Everyone here is kind and helpful, and there's something to be said about that.
That's good mate, but there are loads of bands that only attract positive vibes. Look for the cult bands, any genre. They have real fan appreciation who are there for the music and feel, not popularity. I'm not having a go at popular bands or people who like them; but their popularity also attracts people who fell the need to detract from the vibe.
There are other channels like this, for example, the Magpie Sherlock Holmes Audio, WDR Klassik or the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra. Those have very nice comments. But you´re right, channels like that are rare. And it certainly says something about them.
I first heard this music, and was mesmerized by it, fifteen years ago. I am ecstatic to have finally found it again! Thank you, thank you, thank you, from Canada!

Freedom, unity but with respect to everyone's background.I love your music as it incorporates so many different influences, but they all come together and form a solid basis. Thank you for the influence your music creates.
First I listened to that song these days on a trip was in the middle of sahara merzouga in car that crashed the desert's hills, with driver that name's youssef such a great driver and fun friend, we all had much fun screaming in the middle of sahara. yess I had a berber driver who loved this band drive me through merzouga as well. He felt connected to them but couldn't actually understand it. I thought it was interesting that morocco used tuareg iconography a lot in it's tourism despite the country not having an actual tuareg population.
