I love the refaces to labyrinth zone thrown in here as the area he is in is labyrinth zone from sonic 1. As you may be questioning why he couldn’t have used his spin dash to escape, this is sonic 1, the spin dash was not invented so sonic here has no idea of its existence yet. This sonic is not any typical .exe that you associate to the .exe gang in the sonic universe. This sonic is a zombified version of sonic 1 who has been tied to a chain and ball and sunk to the bottom of labyrinth zone. The will to live in his mind is so strong that it keeps him alive and keeps bringing him back from the dead. He is doomed to suffer a cycle of drowning and rebirth until somebody comes to save him which most likely won’t be for a long time.
Also fun fact the sonic in the back is modern sonic and whenever he stops singing he died and he keeps respawning like a softlock and the sonic that were playing is called sink.

Sonic cannot die, so they drown him. Sonic cannot escape from the pain, He tries screaming for help, but nobody hears him. He tries and tries to break free but cannot escape. He has to live in pain, forever. He has no hope, no choice, just to wait there until someone saves him. I think that's a sad backstory.. Don't you think?😔
