Fortitude's fortitude really paid off... What a show of character. Imagine losing to happy hundreds of times and still not giving up.

His viewer actually paid him to play against Happy and many other players,no matter how bad he lost in the first half of last year.I think that's a very big differance compare to other players who can only make money from winning tournaments.And the fact he got way more opportunity to play against Happy made him have a much better early game than other Hum players.
Bluzzard nerfed Happy's race twenty times only because he is so much better than anyone else, that's how 😂

forti is the worlds best human player and probably along the best 5 players in the world
He has really come a long way. I think Grubby said SOK was the number 1 human player but Forti is very close or even better.

@@Karim-ik5ij forti beat SOK as if Sok is afk. Watch them play a mirror match with exact same build and hero and setup and forti is just dominating without breaking a sweat. Sok is #2 but is far away from forti

using dark ritual like that is ALMOST like spending money for a level drain spell. combine that with ritual dagger, and you could really deny every ghoul.
Mass gargs against human?
You can only makenthat work with god tier micro.
You will have to outmass gyros or hope je overcommits on gyros and switch back to ground.
One small micro mistake and riffles eat you up.
Gargs only counter human casters. For the rest they are pretty shitty. Maybe help destroyers against gyros by flanking them.
I'm kinda new to the game, so may I ask you this: what is the condition of the game to win?
The only win condition of the game is to actually destroy all your enemy’s buildings. Even if they had a huge army, but you destroy all their buildings, you will automatically win.
If we’re talking about general ‘win conditions’ from match to match, it will largely depend on the matchup (which race vs which race) and the other million nuances that the best players like Happy, Grubby, etc can explain better than I can 😅
Cool game, but am honestly surprised at Happy's sloppiness at times.
(In fact, it could be said that this has been a recent trend for him in the past 2 years or so.
There are many factors to that: Him getting OLD, *but MORESO:* UD getting constant NERFS, while opposing races getting constant BUFFS... :/ ....
Topic for another time, I know, but it should be mentioned quickly even now: That's what happens when you let *TOD* have _ANY_ say in the game's balance decisions... )
Let's see now:
* Lack of consistent invuln purchase. You absolutely NEED that to survive against Human nuke.
* Not enough upgrades. He was facing 3-1 (+devotion) Gryphons with just 1-1 (+weaker devotion) Fiends.
* Not adapting to the switch from Tanks to mass air in time. Frankly, I don't think that banshees would have solved Happy's problems, contrary to Grubby's impressions.
* *EVEN* with timely upgrades, I'm actually NOT convinced he would have survived the onslaught of *THE HUMAN NUKE !!* ... It's simply iм6аlапсеd against UD, unfortunately !! :(

but it does no dmg (you can see the HP of the MK because he was selected at the time)
Did a recent patch fix the bug of Orbs not transmitting Bash/etc. to magic-immune air units? It at least used to be that even though Mountain King could Bash magic-immune units on the ground, and could Bash air units with an Orb, Mountain King couldn't Bash maggic-immune air units with Orb, even though the regular attack damage went through.
So, its this easy, just make 4 workshops and 3 aviaries against ud. Thatll be a blast
Wow, witnessing Fortitude take down Happy as Human is truly mind-blowing! This video's approach of dissecting the game in a casual, educational manner is refreshing.

Longer the game goes, stronger human gets. Just draw it out, draw it out.
It was difficult to ruin 666 likes on this video.
Fountain kinda kills the balance of the game. Whoever has map control gets even more map control and can't lose to attrition.
Yeah makes for a different game for sure. Definitely favours some races over others.
Thats why this map is in the pool, diferent strategies can appear more often.

Heavy Armor does not take reduced damage of any type, even tho my 8 year-old ass always thought it takes reduced DMG from something at least... Weird
Yea I think it was always neutral against everything outside of Piercing in ROC (which absolutely destroyed stuff like Aboms or Tauren)/Magic in TFT.
Huntress had heavy armor back in the day. Peak NE OPness

Human got 3 human units (Peasant/Militia, Footmen, Knight), 4 elven (Priest, Sorcerer, Spellbreaker, Dragonhawk Rider), and 5 dwarves (Riflemen, Gyrocopter, Mortar Team, Siege Engine, Gryphon Rider)

16:40 gryphons have one of the best damage nominal (in numbers) (compare them with windryders upgraded)
gryphons are worth upgrading (plus the have high hp which wyverns do not have)

And of course Happy does his typical leave the game without having a final big battle for fun, unfortunately he has this personality trait where he wants to save face and not look bad losing a huge battle. Hello happy, this game is over 20 years old and you’re over 30 years old, stop acting like this is so important to your reputation.

Who is Fortitude?
You called it that the flying machines wound up being a buffer for autocast web, keeping the gryphons safe. I wonder how planned out that was.
Oh it was absolutely planned. You can see the flying machines head straight into the fiends and they dont even attack.
Plus it means undead can't just spam destroyers that are gryphon immune
yes it made me look closer too, he charged with them first and moved griffs on a third wave after melee units second, so he even saved them from most of the spell damage and made it harder for undead to approach. It looked clean@@ThatGuy-js6mu

I think humans staff is cool and a skill mechanic…. but it’s kind of OP. night elf’s is even better but takes more skill
Hu is like the definition of perseverance, persistence, and resilience. Can heal/save units a lot with staff, priests, and Pala. Brillance aura to regen mana faster. Storm bolt to pick off enemies. Hu army move speed is slow af, but can often out last you in the late game.
I think staff of tele should be an item restricted to one per player. Maybe each shop only has one, so once one person buys from it, the other needs to buy from the other shop allowing the competitive interaction of purchases to play a role. Using them to return heroes for items and saving low units should be something the requires more careful consideration, and feels more clutch. I believe it to be an item players lean on heavily instead of acquiring better micro and awareness.
If you do that HU and NE will be heavily nerfed while UD and Orc unaffected. So in exchange, Orbs of Lightning and Corruption should be heavily nerfed to Orb of Fire's level.
