Personally i dislike mucky sauce bottles…and prefer little Kup Kake cases with fresh hygienic relish… But to be honest i prefer a top quality respected sachet of sauce….you know that it’s factory fresh,and you dont have to wonder of its provenance.Sugar bowls ? Dont get me started…ive seen them used as ash trays ..but in those type of premises the bill is settled at a lower level.. I always wonder about salad garnish on meals also…as some people dont always eat them..

I like white sliced bread with good quality bacon… If somebody ever serves a brioche bun with bacon….ill run for the hills.. But hamburgers everywhere have been ruined by french cake.. The brioche bacon butty will be named “La Marie Antoinette lard en tranches” or simply a “Marie Antoinette bacon butty”yeuch ! But some people will think it’s lovely…

My feeling is that the Whitby shop might have been in a stronger position than the others as there's not really that much competition here as on other high streets, but it fell with the rest of the business and they shut the lot. But I don't really know, I just really liked (and used) the shop. Ho hum!

Not been in that one always seems a bit pricey but we might try it on your recommendation. ( I'm a fan of buying bacon from my favorite Whitby butcher and eating it in the cottage while staring out of the window). Serious nope to Mcdonalds ugh! We have been to a lovely wedding upstairs in Hetty and Betty, great venue I thought.

Sarnie looked a bit better than the one I got from Greggs Friday. It was like shoe leather. I like s pint in the Black Swan because they sell Tetleys Imperial. Dont know of anywhere else that does so I always have a couple. The Plough Sammy Smiths joint funny named beers used to be cheap but not any longer avoid if you want to do anything but sup because everything else is banned. Dogs kids phones swearing the lot. Maybe thats why the Jolly sailors shutdown as well. The Royal fisheries is okay too No worse than most around the town. Giz a job. 😂

There is a cafe bar almost opposite Bothams. I can’t remember the name but it’s a 2 digit number. Bacon butties there are out of this world. Give it a try
We always head to Bothams on Baxtergate when we are in Whitby it's a nice cafe we will be calling there later this year when we go to Captain Cooks Haven.

Went to Bothams and whilst it is probably the best cafe in Whitby it shows that Whitby hasn’t got any good ones. Not good in my view.
