Sup, new subscriber here, you give me M539 youtuber vibes, but with diesel engine information which is a big plus from me, videos like these are always welcomed to be longer, also i had my audio maxed out and sometimes it was hard to hear you.
First of all, good job, that's cool work you are doing. Just a couple of mentions, i wouldn't suggest replacing only one spring on a car, especially as you've just taken both of them out, you are putting a new, not sagged spring on one side, and leaving seemingly(that's the main thing) good spring on the other side, that used spring can (and probably does) compress much more than a new one, and then you have to lift your car up again. The same thing applies to the handbrake pads, its simpler and more cost effective to just change both sides (and dont they come together for both sides?).
Thank you, I don’t mention it, but if you actually look in the video you can see that I did replace both of the spring😊 and I also did the other brake shoe off camera🤘

Good old method, I once decided to try how good I could get it, and I played with it for 1 hour, and few weeks later when I went to the guy alignment, he was incredibly impressed because the toe was perfect, he didn’t need to do anything, he just had to adjust the camber, so it’s definitely worth trying😀
Finally a good recommendation from RUclips, keep up the good work! And please wear eye protection, watching you work under this rust bucket is nerve wracking.
Great work! It's a shame the rust is starting to get to the earlier e9x now. I had an 07 and it was bad under the arch liners and sill covers..😢 did you dare to have a look on this one?
Thanks, yeah that’s a shame, but most of these cars are in this state here in Norway, yeah there was rust, but mostly surface rust and nothing crazy, they also check for these things it the inspection, so if it is too bad it will not get approved
I don't think inspectors really care about surface rust, unless the metal has rusted through, especially integral parts of the chassis, then yeah, your car will definitely not be approved for road use.

@@EMSGARAGEE61 i see. Appreciate your work and detailed video withh all the camera angles.very nice work. What about the subframe itself? How much was that?
In 2017 i bought 2006 120d m47, with 180.000 km on it. Month later in service they saw that odometer has been changed and that real milage is 370.000km, which later came true when i contacted the dealer who sold it as new. It was a Le mans blue with the full M package, M suspension, M seats, xenon, idrive, the car was packed with almost all options and worked perfectly fine so i kept it. 2 years ago while i took it to the BMW mechanic to change diesel heater he asked me, How much power does it have? I told him it's stock 163hp, and he was like you have a chip tuning here, and there was a cable connected to the common rail with the little chip tuning computer. I was like WTF i have a tuned car for a 4 years and i didn't know about it. I made another 120.000 km until i sold it 6 months ago and probably 50.000km of those where under quick accelerations and drifting . The engine, the flywheel, the turbo, the injectors, the gearbox were all in perfect shape on the day i sold it just like in the day i bought it. I had issues with EGR and pressure pump, water pump and relay for diesel heaters and that's all. M47 is f*** bulletproof!

Yeah it’s definitely rare, but possible to find, you can sometimes find them cheaper here in Norway when it needs a lot of work, reason being because labour costs so much here, hourly rate here at repair shops is around 70 euro (if not more), which makes it not worth to fix it, and since parts and registration fees cost much, after the project is done the money invested into the car is quadrupled and often way more😊
