The Unguided is a five-piece melodic metal band from Sweden, formed by Richard Sjunnesson, after his departure from Sonic Syndicate. Later, he was joined by Roland Johansson (also former Sonic Syndicate singer), guitarist Roger Sjunnesson and current Cipher System bassist Henric Carlsson.
The Unguided är ett fem-manna melodiskt metalband från Sverige, bildat av Richard Sjunnesson efter att han lämnat Sonic Syndicate. Senare anslöt även Roland Johansson (också tidigate Sonic Syndaicate sångre), gitarristen Roger Sjunnesson och nuvarande Cipher System bassisten Henric Carlsson.

Why is the majority on the comments focusing primarily on their imagery of the band? Who cares if it's vampires, the sound of the band is good, they have potential. It's quite pitiful that most people base a band off of their looks and automatically think they're gay or the band sucks. This is almost 2014. Grow the hell up.

thats why you listen with ears and also why i like blind auditions in music tv shows. Metal never been my favorite kind of music but i like all kind of music. I definatly wouldnt fit in these groups crowds but id enjoy this music as much if not more than em !
I fell in love with Sonic Syndicate from the Eden Fire album back in 2005 and thought the following 2 albums were absolutely brilliant also. Now to have the Unguided making songs as brilliantly as this, is awesome. I would love to see these guys in Newcastle in the UK, I saw SS a few year back at the O2 and it's still one of my favourite gigs I've been to so I'd love to see The Unguided here too. Their songs are just perfect..

Loved these guys since sonic syndicate! I remember hearing you guys back in my freshman year of high school and listening to your music everyday for months!
0:43 I know it’s old news, I’m still surprised at how the screams can effectively carry the song in this section by themselves (well with the drums, synth and bass but no heavy guitar or melody for a few seconds)

I recognice Akasha, Maheret and Mekare. Not sure if the guy kissing Akasha is Marius or Lestat, but Lestat can only acted by Tom Cruise! And the Song is written from the perspective of Lestat.

When I first heard this song on their (then) upcoming album, I SO wanted them to make a video of it- and I love it now that its here! The part from 3:40 where it just builds up that bridge over to 4:07 where the riffs kick in again from earlier in the song, goD DAMN that sounds so good! Totally hooked :D

Queen of the Damned. Thumping good read. And I absolutely love the music video. I knew the song had a certain story telling element that would project well in a video and I was not at all disappointed.

Nah, it's most likely made by the same guy who makes there album covers. Kuang Hong. Might be inspiration from Kain but not the same. Compare this one and the Kain one and you see they are not alike.

When you guys left SS, I left them too, because they lost "that thing" I liked. I agree...I don't stop listening to a band because they lost a particular member or because they change their style, that's fucking stupid...EVERY band changes their style...but it's true that Eden Fire, Only Inhuman and Love and Other Disasters were fucking killer albums! But then We Rule The Night was disappointing....and Nathan Biggs has no power in his voice compared to Roland or Richard...literally just heard of The Unguided today...and fuck, this song is sick! Great to see Roland, Richard and Roger back together, it's awesome!

This song music video reminds of queen of the damned by Anne Rice. Its a really good vampire book and there are other great books in the a series called, vampire chronicles.

THIS IS AMAZING!!
The PD MV was a performance introduction video of the band. Also the song is just metaphorically telling about the Phoenix FX whilst BOTC is literally about vampires, so it was never necessary. Not at all saying I wouldn't love to see a Phoenix in it, but before we as much as animated one single feather, the budget would have most likely have ran out ;) Sidefact: BOTC had 100% higher budget than PD.

OMFG!!!!!!!!!! It's such a fuckin relief to hear Richards harsh vocals again :) sonic syndicate just fell apart when he left. In general i don't listen to ANYTHING with a second of clean vocals, sonic syndicate was the ONLY exception. However after Richard left, that disgusting, pathetic, abhorrent, excuse for an album they released was just to far. I'm fuckin ecstatic to see that "The Unguided" is pretty much what Sonic Syndicate started out as :D

Yeah this band is basically older Sonic Syndicate with a different name. After most of the band members left a couple years ago, both singers left to form this band as well as Roger, the main guitar player for Sonic Syndicate.
