Man, the Pokémon cries are so good here. They're like the perfect blend between the animalistic cries of the core series and the ones from the anime where the majority of them just awkwardly say their species name.
I won't mind hearing them like this in the anime and any other games that don't use the core series cries.

It's not only the voice the design is pretty feminine looking & many of those female voice actresses make the voices of little boys so it fits. It won't fit the voice of a grown man for a little girl.

I love all of the Pokemon sounds here and I like the dynamic poses, Primarina posing like that infamous venus portrait and putting on a concert being on one of them but Wailmer's cry sounding like those relaxing whale songs is just perfect.

That surprised me too, such things look like they should be generally female.
Remember that animal's sexual dimorphism don't work quite the same way as humans do (example: peacocks, mandarin ducks, some paradise birds, deers, lions, betta fish). Pokemons are basically animals in their own world. Well, intelligent ones but still classified animals. Though the real reason for 87.5% male on all starters is as we all know, so in game we don't just breed starters over and over like it's raining babies

I dont think I can play this. There's so many unfamiliar pokemon I don't know of.. the original was the best, and if a newer came out with all 151 ORIGINAL pokemon, that would have been amazing.
