Web simulators - a new kind of electronic textbooks

At our First faculty of medicine at Charles University, we have been working on creating mathematical models of physiology for many years.
In cooperation with a spin-off company, Creative Connections we have created an open-source technology called Bodylight.js, which makes it possible to connect a mathematical model, multimedia, and hypertext into a single unit, executable on any device in a modern Internet browser, even without an Internet connection.
This way, we can create a new kind of electronic textbook that uses simulation models as a very effective teaching aid, especially in medicine.
