I think the music should be turned down quite a bit, or turned off completely. This is just my personal preference. I like to hear just the game audio.

I just tried the car, being the poor keyboard peasant that I am... Well, it's kinda drivable on asphalt/concrete courses :D Damn, does this game make me want to get a proper setup, especially when I jump into it after driving irl.
dodoz44 I'm in the same boat, man. Moving from the Renault Alpine to this thing was insane, and the first place I got to try it was Sweden. It's a huge learning curve with this thing!

I love this game and would play it more if the thrustmaster wheel actually worked for it. The only way I can get my TX to work with it is restarting my computer every time I want to play, great driving man and keep up these awesome rally vids!

+Ylurpn learn left foot braking, it helps make a difference
You should almost never go full throttle on the stratos if you can't handle it. Start with slow speeds and slowly push the limit.
+Ylurpn I know this may be late but you can tweak the throttle deadzone and saturation, steering sensitivity and linearity to help with the over acceleration, well these alterations are more suited if you're playing on a controller.
+Ylurpn This is where throttle control plays a big part, it's essential to rally driving, especially with RWD cars like the Stratos, try to tap the gas through the corner slowly while making steering corrections to keep the car aligned with the way you want it to go, you will need to practice this to get to know how it works, I hope this helps.
Strange I can flat out all the cars in Dirt Rally except the fucking Peugeot 205 killer, this thing lives its own life. I've never gone max attack without crashing it. The RWD group is very difficult cause you need grips to drive it. Gain experience, the rest will come in time.

hey bro, awesome driving u got there. whats the difficulty u using? over a minute lead, that is superb man. yeah the music need to be a little bit lower, or u can use the relaxing house music which they use in Dirt Rally soundtrack its just melts in ears. thats my personal prefrences. anyway great video great job!

You should stiffen up your wheel so it takes more effort to turn. It seems undesirable but it helped me race A LOT and I mean A LOT
I was watching your video and I felt the Stratos in your video isn't going that fast, is that a video of your own (not upgraded) Stratos? Because I just ran the same stage in the Stratos and noticed a huge difference in speed output even though you floor it. you ran a 7:04, and I ran a 6:34 about half a minute faster, also top speed seems to be slower then mine, just wondering..

No, its the right "paddle shift" on the steering wheel. You can see it and hear it.

Wow Bro, you have some Skills!! Over a minute ahead of the pace, what difficulty do you have it on??
on what setting do you keep the "screen shaking"? I have never touched the setting on my game (I think it's 100% by default) but your game looks so.. smooth? I also play with all the assists off like everyone should, never even tried with them. I have a Logitech G920 as my wheel and the same shifter as you do - but when playing DiRT Rally I use the shifter in seq mode as a handbrake because I use the paddles on the wheel as shifters. I need some kind of lever as a handbrake - could not live with a button or a paddle :)
i don't know about rally and i have this question : don't they have the only up and down shift in real rallying? or do they change gears like you here?

just got this game, and after finishing my 1960s rally, i got this instead of going straight to 1980s so i could have money left, but it feels less powerful/agile than my renault alpine. does this require a different driving style?
I have been trying to steer using a keyboard for last 2 hours on this track. It's been stressful.
Are you using the same foot to brake and accalerate? That's a big no no if you are.

You should try RBR with RSRBR Mod, it stomps on this tbh. Compared to RBR Dirt is a arcade game lol, Yes i have tried both.

Left foot on brake - Right foot on gas, shouldn't you only use your right foot for these two pedals?
***** In rally left foot braking is a common thing, but you are right you are "supposed" to do so, but as i said in rally you oftenly dont. In rally you are many times on the gas while braking at the same time to slow the car down but at the same time keep the slide and momentum going.
+ALBii JONzz (ALBiiJONzz) if you practice enough, you'll use all 3 pedals with both feet, it helps with scandi flicks, prevents your car from sliding to much if you use the pedals right and you wheel, but thimmpy got it. in fwd cars, its essential since making numerous mistakes in my car on local Supervised dirt roads

I've been loving the Racing/Driving games that've been coming out recently and I was wondering, since they claim to be 'Super Realistic' would getting a 'Force Feedback' wheel and pedals be worth it? since they are supposed to be realistic, if I got these would it aid my driving in real life? (I'm not a driver yet, I just thought it would be good practice to start early) any advice?

So really there's is no E-brake usage? Only downshifts and pedal brake??? The E-brake if a life or death for me.
I could be wrong, but I think the handbrake is on the right hand wheel 'paddle' thingy.

SpoonFromSwitzerland In rally yes. Left foot break shifts the cars weight foward making the rear wheels easier to slide out and oversteer. Its used from switching from a left turn to a right (vice versa) and used to do a pendulum swing for hairpins :)

dirt rally is hard. I have the game and I keep failing every time.
Michael La Falce I just got it about a week ago. Love the game to pieces, but god it's hard. Keyboard driving sucks! But, keep with the practice and it gets to ya! I played the game for a little more than 5 hours, 1 and a half of which were doing the gravel Pike's Peak. I uploaded my fastest time to my channel, I was proud enough to get a decent time without getting penalized :D

Macke P Just before starting the first time the game I selected 900 degrees rotation. Then When I started the game at the first option I just selected manual change and it works

Sorry dude, I dislike yer driving, you have too much understeer because of wrong braking, not using handbrake and being afraid of pushing the gas. Your hairpins are very bad. Still OK though.
