    I was thinking about doing this myself BUT where did you get the t5's so cheap? I saw some cpral life one on clearce for 60.00 and that was half price on amazon and they came from marineandreef.com. I wasnt sure if they would fry y coral though supposedly they are HOt5 something like 25 watt maybe, per bulb. these are 30 inch bulbs to for that price! Alot of people said in the review that they were only good for their softies though so should work. i was going to check out the wattage for a Ai hybrid and see if its close. There is someone selling a geizeman aurora for 400.00 plus shipping so also thinking about that. its used of corse for that price. But if the led should go then I am screwed ...lol. Ilike that I can just replace them with this type. I also figure I would get great growth with a combo t5. How has growth been? Did you remember the name of the t5 fixture by any chance?

    Hi Billy, I have a 38-gal Fiji AIO Peninsula tank. It's about 35,5"L x 15,5"W including the sump. I have 2 AI Prime. One thing I dislike of this sort of lamps is that they generate a lot of shadow zones among the rocks. I was wandering if I could ad clarity, natural luminosity to my tank. I started into the hobby 20 months ago with a Fluval Evo 13.5gal. I loved the luminosity of that tank due to the strip of LEDs that come with it. Do you know if I could ad some sort of strip light to my new tank but something that's not hanging but maybe sitting on top of the tank?? Thank you for your assistance.

    • @BillyPipes
      @BillyPipes  4 года назад

      Reefbrite makes a light called the lumilite (not the lumilite pro) it comes with legs that allows the light to sit on the tank trim. I just installed 2 on my tank last. I'll be doing a video on them in about a week👍👍

I wanted to add a dual t5 fixture more for visual appeal than anything else because the LEDs have proven to handle anything at throw at them. I don't know much about T5, and I'm concerned about over doing it. My question is, would you recommend dialing back the LED's if I threw in for example 2 39W ATI bulbs?
