I love how Cap _does_ clearly kill people in FA, but in a way that most people actually seem to forget. But Cap Carter? She just straight up _murderfies_ a _whack_ of people through this whole thing and Im absolutely living for it. And the way its animated, too, Im 100% sure not one person she punched, kicked or hit with the shield is an alive person anymore
So many that they needed to montage it.
Agreed.
that's the beauty of animation. you can animate much more brutal and visceral scenes unlike live action
I don't know why people think Cap doesn't kill. Lmao. He was clearly shooting guns in FA. Also, he straight murdered like 7 or 8 people on the boat in winter soldier. And at the African base in civil war, if those guys he kicked aren't dead, several of them have spines that are no longer functional. Also, I get the animation seems to make Peggy more visceral, but I think Cap moves just as well. Peggy lifted a car, let's not forget Cap held down a helicopter. They're both incredibly powerful.
@@dadaseyi people just mistake him for superman I think. Cap kills. He fought in war for crying out loud. He will never kill without reason ofc, like surrendered or incapacitated enemy, but he will of that’s necessary
I, for one, watched 'Agent Carter' and fell in love with Hayley Atwell. This is exactly how I'd imagine Peggy as a super-soldier. Absolutely brilliant!
I have a feeling we'll be seeing Hayley reprise her role in live action in Phase 4, which is gonna be amazing! :)
Yes. And I loved that they mostly kept her fighting style intact. Peggy just stomping and crushing people and throwing things at them🤣. And it makes sense, Peggy was already trained and an agent at this point.
I loved Agent Carter. Great series, deserved more than it got.
@@TheFiddleFaddle I couldn’t agree more! Same with Agents of Shield.
I LOVED how Peggy was a "no prisoners" Captain, like she had enough of their BS
Beating them left , right, front and center .
Well, this was during the Blitz. And Peggy was in the US as a liaison. She *was* tired of their BS
And this is the 2nd world war with Germany every one was like enough is enough by then.
It's like Erksine said; good become great, bad becomes worse, DONE becomes "beat until friggin' ketchup." And Peggy showed up DONE.
“Fates changed, but their love remains unchanged.”
Seems like a fitting tagline for this episode.
id feel so bad for him buddy will never walk again
This episode was just Captain Carter STRAIGHT MERCING NAZIS LIKE A BADASS. I have never wanted a movie or mini-series adaptation so bad in my life. This was some of the BEST content that Marvel Studios has given us in their 13 years of existence.
Just wait i have gotten info from sources about the order of episodes. It gets better and bigger every week.
Every person always says this when Marvel releasing a new content.
@@randompeople465 yea because that’s just how amazing the writers, producers and directors are at Marvel Studios. Every time we think they’ve peaked, they outdo themselves and reach a higher point.
It would be cool if they did it to soviets as well
First off, that sky scene where she's just jumping off of a plane into another and then hopping on Iron Steve's back like he's her silver surfer board, blew me away. Never seen anything like it. And I really hope that this series continues and if people show enough support for certain characters, maybe in future seasons they'll even do a "Peggy Carter Episode 2" and continue the story a bit more. So pumped. So psyched. Watched the episode right when it released because I couldn't sleep and I was so excited looking forward to reactions today.
Well good news, apparently the plan is to revisit this timeline every season for the foreseeable future. At least that’s what I heard.
Apparently Captain Carter is going to be in Dr Strange: Multiverse of Madness \o/
There will be two seasons of this
SPOILERS
But watch the July Trailer carefully. This won't be the last we see of Captain Carter this season.
They are pretty loosely goosey with the murder for an animated show
the animation is very spider verse to me, and I love that even though Peggy is a super soldier and steve is still skinny their love for each other remains un changed
I was already getting a rather Iron Giant vibe to the art style, even before I saw Steve getting his own Iron Giant-ish suit of armor.
Well it just reinforces the fact that Peggy fell in love with him before his transformation into Captain America. I mean in her own series and in the scene in endgame when Steve is in her office the picture she keeps of him is not Super Soldier Steve but Skinny Steve.
Peggy riding Steve’s iron giant totally reminded me of spiderverse
It’s more Star Wars Resistance to me. The animation style here definitely evolved from the Resistance style
I never really shipped Steve and Peggy, but I do ship this version of them.
Peggy was a healthy, normal-sized human being before she was injected, unlike Steve, who was very smol. Also, Peggy injected herself with 1 more vial of serum than Steve got (I think), so she is at least 33% stronger than Steve was.
I don't think so. In the original movie the spy didn't act until after Steve was juiced. In this he took the serum out of the machine and Peggy put it back.
@@senhowler But there has to be some difference due to Peggy being highly trained already, no doubt stronger than skinny steve by a mile.
So serum made her even stronger, not by a whole lot due to the difference in male and female biology... men can get stronger than women if they train equal amounts.
So 30% stronger wouldnt be in the realm of impossibility, if you ask me.
In this episode it definitely looked like she is stronger but that might just be because its an animation and not live action.
Eitherway its a what if so these can be anything. :P
@@Otakahunt That’s my view of it. That a lot of the feats looked exaggerated because it’s animated and not LA. Some people seem to really have an issue with it, but that’s what always happens with animation.
@@Otakahunt what’s interesting is when Steve asks her how it feels to be a Super Soldier. And she’s “Honestly? Not all that different.” Meaning she was always a capable fighter and held her own in combat but it’s just been amplified. Steve went from not being able to do a push-up to Captain America. Carter went from ass-kicking Agent Carter to ass-kicking Captain Carter
the hydra agent shot Steve then took a vial of serum then Peggy shot him then returned the stolen vial; still the same amount serum was used. the question is how did Peggy fit after transformation in that capsule when she should've been much larger than a post serum Steve since the capsule was designed based on Steve's would-be physical changes
I absolutely adore you two. Everyone else seems to be focused on picking apart the quality of the animation, story, potential for impact on the MCU, etc., and you guys are just here enjoying the hell out of it. Ya’ll are the perfect example of why reaction videos are great. 😘💕😘💕
Yes! This is it exactly!
I've just finished sesskasays' reaction and she also loved every bit of it, check her out!
@@RPG_Angie I will, thank you!
Just so you know, the creators have said Peggy's story will be continued into a second season. She'll be the closest thing to the main character of 'What If?'.
Captain Carter is also rumored to be in Dr Strange 2
Marvel keeps calling this an anthology series, but then admits it’s canon?!?! I really think the first half of the series will reimagine the events from 616 universe Cap 1 through Ultron, spending the second half building toward a multiversal version of the Avengers, that’ll show up, individually or in small team ups, in the next, like, six movies &/or shows. Like, they’ll reverse the eleven years of agonizingly building toward Endgame, give us everything we need at the outset of phase 5, then just let absolutely loose in the next 3 years of projects. Then, maayyyyyybe, way in the future, Doom takes over from, or becomes an agent of, Kang. Just sayin’.
@@aaronbarr7935 The MCU is universe-199999, universe-616 is the comics.
Can't wait to see the Guardians of Multivese to be united in the final episode, and peggy is the one of them.
@@aaronbarr7935 it’s canon in the sense that the multiverse is canon
1 out of 1 Jay's Laugh
When Adam said "On your left", when Peggy hit that guy on the motorcycle, I thought, "If only that was her line."
I definitely think Peggy is a more savage fighter than Steve as a super soldier. I think training and experience are mainly the reason for that.
When Peggy rode on the back of Hydra Stomper (or was it Smasher?) I got a Stargirl and STRIPE vibe.
When the train exploded my thoughts went to the possibility of Steve as that universe's Winter Soldier. Since he seemed to be her Bucky.
In my mind she'd be Captain Britain, which meant when she grabbed that sword I thought "If only that were Excalibur".
Aw man it was exactly a Stargirl and Stripe vibe!! Good catch!
Peggy is definitely more savage than Steve. The arm-through-the-wall move? That's not a 'Captain America' move. That's a straight up 'Winter Soldier' move. As you said... savage. Also, if Peggy took Steve's role, and Steve took Bucky's, does that mean Bucky would take Peggy's? Because Bucky and Howard founding SHIELD together sounds like pure chaos.
@@laxxla Oh, definitely. SHIELD would have been a crazier organization than it was before with Howard and Bucky at the helm. LMAO
Imagine winter soldier Steve taking the mask off saying you owed me a dance
I wonder if isaiah Bradley would still get the serum in this universe or if they would try it on the howling commandos and Steve and everyone Isaiah was with when he got it
Jay and Adam brought forth multiple giggles from this reaction. Such a fun one. Thank you gents. You made this good Wednesday even better.
"Damn Peggy! Let the bodies hit the floor! More! More!" LMAO! That was the best reaction EVER!
This episode was *literally* all I ever wanted. I thought I couldn't love Peggy more and turns out I was wrong because holy shit. You guys had the exact same reaction to the fighting montage as I did. Just unbridled joy. I can't wait to watch the rest of this show with you guys!
I spent most of the day waiting for J&A’s reaction. Had to watch a bunch of other reactors in the meantime, most of whom were like ‘this was fun, but… whatever, whatever’. I don’t understand. I was screaming my ass off the whole time! Every time J&A are like, ‘this is the best scene ever!’, we know for a fact that what’s coming next will blow them away even more, which is just a delight. I get almost as excited for their reactions as I do for the episodes they are reacting to. Ya’ know?
One of the things I absolutely love about animation is how we're able to get shots and action sequences that we wouldn't normally get in live action. They can be epic, wacky, brutal, or anything else under the sun. I love the actors and the live action we've had so far, but I'm really glad that we're getting something new.
You have to remember, Peggy Carter is an agent already when Steve comes into the Army, he has no real fighting skills in comparison so she gets the serum and already has skills!
Her just absolute joy at her powers and what she can do is just so...so perfectly wonderful.
"Can we get 3 hours of Captain Carter bodying people?" Yes please, just make sure to include more scenes like the flying one, taking down more planes!
Forget 3 hours, I want a Captain Carter video game!
Jay’s laugh is so infectious, I was crying so hard! 😂🤣🤣🤣
"Howard Stark was able to build this in the 40s... with a 4-dimensional box!"
Loved. This. Reaction.
Your excitement is contagious, and I am HERE for it.
When the reaction devolves to flailing limbs high-pitched squeaking and gigglefits, you know you got a winner
I could not stop laughing when you two were laughing at Captain Carter's brutal beatdowns on HYDRA soldiers. Also, this was such an amazing series premiere. I was absolutely in love with Captain Carter and how gorgeous and badass she was throughout this episode.😍❤💙😍❤💙😍❤💙😍❤💙😍❤💙
Action was dope! Love how she didn't remain skinny - built like an Amazon / Pro Cross-Fit Athlete.
Good that they didn't want to confuse her with another marvel character called Captain Britain, and also doesn’t roll off the tongue as well as Captain Carter does - Marvel loves its alliteration!
Tentacle monster was likely the monster at the start of GoTG 2 or Shuma-Gorath (classic Dr Strange villain).
Josh Keaton did a good job as a Chris Evans sound-alike.
Two seasons of 9 episodes each has been confirmed (was recently reduced from 10 to 9 due to Covid)
Nah, the tentacle monster was Starro the Conqueror doing a cross universe cameo
Jay “We’re entering a death by snu snu situation”….me “oh god you’re killing me, OH GOD YOU’RE KILLING ME!”
💯% this comment!
Hey Peaches! They even managed to work some Agents of SHIELD lore into this. Remember that Hydra's goal was always to summon their super Hydra monster from that weird planet. Nice callback.
The craziest thing about the show is they wrote up like 30+ ideas and Feige just picked his favorites. Then they had to cut some of those ideas because they were actually plot points for future movies. I'm so excited for the rest of the season.
PS: Cpt Carter is the best thirst trap of the year
Yeah one of the episodes were cut because it was half the plot of guardians 3
@@mannycool4618 oh so, there is just 9 episodes for this season?
@@randompeople465 I’m not sure how many episodes there will be I just know that some of the original plans were cut
Yer gaddamn right she is
”He got deep-blue-sead!” Omg, I laughed so hard I almost peed my pants 🤣🤣🤣
After seen this episode, and remembering in Loki the scene where we saw someone that looked like Peggy in the background at the TVA been processed, I was thinking...What if they where the same, at one moment, and this episode is the result if the TVA didn't intervene due to the decision she made as the Watcher said?
I was a lurker until now. That "on your left" joke made me a subscriber.
Also you two guys are like the best example of RUclipsrs helping people find stuff to laugh and cry with during a pandemic.
Oh, where to start with this reaction. It's getting 10/10 Good Times from me.
First, the love y'all showered on Peggy and the Agent Carter series before the episode even started was so heartwarming. Then, the "Vessel with the Pestle" reference from Jay was just *chef's kiss*. Then your faces and reactions were PRICELESS every time Captain Carter added to her Savage Kill Count. I could watch her do that all day. I totally agree with Jay though. Watching Peggy and Steve get separated again just hurt.
Okay, you two are utterly delightful in how much you love the characters and are just taking joy in watching, it makes me so damned happy/glad to have found your recaps!
Of all the episodes that we knew of, this was the one I was least excited about, but it still blew my mind. Watching Peggy literally ice a bunch of Nazis was amazing. Supposedly, the rumor is Captain Carter might be making a small appearance in Doctor Strange 2? I hope that’s true. It would be awesome.
There are the rumors and on top of that the trailers have Captain Carter meeting Doctor Strange who seems to be our MCU Strange. Also, Uatu the watcher (Narrator) who said he does not interfere? In the comics he always interferes when there is a major threat while claiming non interference.
@@RiHikaru maybe that's the only long standing arc in season 1. Realising that the world (correction MULTIVERSE) is getting more and more insane so he might HAVE to interfere at some point
When the portal reopened, all I could think was, “Sushi, anyone?”
I was kind of expecting Hive from AOS.
Steve Rogers started out weaker than Peggy… this is what Steve would’ve been with just a wee bit more muscle. Feel the Cruuuuounch!
My exact thought on Bucky with fish phrases!
Yup. Peggy def had more experience as an agent and she also just did not hold back. Of course Steve’s heart is what makes him shine cuz I would think Peggy would definitely kill Bucky as the Winter Soldier had she ever been in the same situation as Steve.
@@aeris44 I agree. Peggy is the better super soldier, but what makes Cap who he is, is his high moral compass
@@aeris44 yup. Peggy was already a trained weapons expert and an expert in hand to hand combat-and already clocked a lot of time in combat. The serum amplified what was already there so she was immediately a better fighter and much more tactical than Steve was when he became Captain America. Now when Captain America woke up 70 years later, supposedly he was trained up on all the latest martial arts between the end of avengers and the start of Winter Soldier
But right out of the serum capsule, Peggy was a more dangerous Super Soldier than Steve Rogers was
These peaches purchased some perchandise! Aaaand now I want more. WOO
ETA: wow am I feeling validated that I’m not the only one who straight up cackled every time Peggy let the bodies hit the floor
Peggy: **flips car**
Jay: *w h e e z e*
We better be getting Hayley Atwell as Captain Carter in Multiverse of Madness!
yesssssssss!!!!!!
Well you guessed it
Aging well comment aged well
I love how much joy it’s bringing Jay and Adam. That’s definitely why I watch
It'll be really cool to have a Multiversal Avengers/Exiles team.
Also, Peggy kills... *so* many people.
Dude. Exiles? Fuck yea I'M IN.
seems like peggy's melee skills are dialed to 1100 lols
Imagine Peggy seeing an older Steve in a hospital just like Steve did with her and Steve saying you came back
I can't be the only one when during the entire episode all I could think about was if we would get to see Peggy fight with Tony and Thor against Thanos 🤣🤣🤣
Never thought of that. Now I needs it!!! Or when Peggy says, finally, Avengers Assemble!
It might not be Tony she's fighting with. I wouldn't doubt if the entire series leads up to some epic fight at the end with all these different branching lines. So we have Captain Carter, next, instead of Tony getting caught, Killmonger saves him. Because of this, Tony never stops selling weapons and instead decides to build armor suits like his dad built for Steve. In doing so, he builds Killmonger a suit and Killmonger becomes Iron Man.
Captain Carter with a shield, her badassery, AND Mjolnir?
Nah man, Thanos is toast.
these fights scenes were fantastic, also love the captain carter theme having hints of the captain america theme in it
both of you LAUGHING at the action is literally so accurate! it is ABSURDLY AWESOME
It wasn't until the livestream that I learned Jay isn't greeting us but is saying hello to Adam's cat. Who knew?
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Wouldn't it be great if this was a way for Marvel to essentially field test 10 different AU shows and then make the ones that hit the best with everyone? That would be awesome.
"The spirit is willing... But the body is spongy and bruised" #deathbysnoosnoo
Probably the best reaction I've seen.
Had a similar reaction myself.
Laughing out loud at the sheer awesomeness of it.
Peggy absolutely kicked ass! ❤️
Pitches for Peaches purchases..?
"On your left.." perfection in timing.
'No quarter given..' (not taken)
Jay you've a good heart.
Both of you rock!
Thanks!
Agent Carter was the first show I binged at the beginning of the pandemic. Such an amazing show, cut criminally short. And this...was AWESOME. So happy to see Peggy back in action!
Agent Carter was just a few years too early and it’s such a shame! What a great show. We need more Peggy Carter in our lives.
@@breawilldraw Great show? Agent Carter? Nah.
@@breawilldraw AMEN!
@@jackdubz4247 I’m not saying it was perfect or that the second season wasn’t a dumpster fire half the time. But yes it was great
I could watch a whole show of Peggy just absolutely wrecking shop and kicking ass. She’s so ruthless and strong. I can’t get enough
I love it how when Dum Dum asked about since when dames could fight like that, Peggy did the same thing to convince him that Steve did to convince the police to listen to his orders during the invasion.
Captain Carter: **Flips a truck like a hamburger patty**
*Jay.exe has stopped working*
I think what makes Steve so great is his moral Compass. While Peggy is just what the soldier serum was meant for, full potential.
Animation is absolutely the best way to capture the kineticism of superheroes. I love live-action superheroes a lot, but there is an elegance, grace and flow of movement that is possible with animation, either traditional or 3D, that live-action just can't replicate.
I absolutely love your reactions to Peggy just fucking bodying people
OMG I was in tears laughing during your entire reaction. Thank you for this awesome video.
Not kidding I randomly said "Mighty Crunch" when Redskull got crushed lol! You guys are rubbing off on me I swear.
Jay’s over there dolphin laughing.
I can’t help but feel that, should we ever see more from this ‘verse, Captain’s Carter and Marvel would a) be best buds and b) feared in disreputable bars from one end of the universe to the other. In fact, Season 2 of What If…. Space buddy cop movie? Please?
I wonder if you could still give Carol the same back story even with the tesseract being used differently here
@@ketchup016 I don't see why not. After all the glowing Flerkin toy still ends up in Howard's hands at more-or-less the same time. Big difference is SHIELD would be formed by someone else, probably Steve, but Mar-Vel still comes to Earth looking for it so... why not? Put it this way: good enough that it *could* happen depending on which way they want to take it.
When Steve blew up I thought he would have been the winter soldier instead of bucky
This was one of the most epically epic piece of Marvel I've seen in a long time. Cap Carter was such a badass!
“Cap ripped the cap off of that tube of toothpaste!” Dudes! It was as right there!
Also, thank you for reacting with such wild abandon & enthusiasm. Other folks, even one’s who liked it, are too non-plussed & ‘over it’. Y’all reacted the way I did.
Fingers crossed for a King Kilmonger & Steve Rogers meet whoever they cast as Johnny Storm. Three ‘Human Torch’s in one scene would be delightful. Flame on!
I knew you guys would have the best reaction! I was laughing so hard with you guys. Can’t wait for more! 😂
Loving the way the black sweater makes Jay look like a wealthy German serial killer.
2:31 While I enjoy Jay and Adam's antics (and Jay's stylish shirts and nails)... I've recently become accustomed to enjoying the more fragrant version of pReview'd... That's right folks! The "burps and fart" edition is available from their patreon.
More of what you love, but like the cinematic theater experience success of smell-O-vision, in a more expansive and whole new way. -🍑
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This episode made me realize how fun a character Howard Stark is/was. And to pull one of his quotes from Iron-Man 2: "I'm limited by the technology of my time." Hence, why the Hydra Smasher couldn't be build in the main MCU timeline.
Im so giddy. So excited to watch you two watching the series! Im here for the giggle fits you two have!
Yo Jay was HILARIOUS in this video 🤣
No reactor I've watched has brought up Shuma Gorath. That's a deep cut for us OG nerds. It might not be him but that was immediately what I guessed. I was just waiting for the single eye to pop out and it never did.
It could be Shuma Gorath, but the tentacles resembled more of that creature that the Guardians fought at the beginning od GoTG Vol.2. But yes, in the back of my mind, I was also waiting for the massive eye. LOL
Red skull did say the being was InterDimensional, and when I saw the tentacles, it HAS to be Shuma Gorath. There’s also a report that Shuma Gorath is the Main Villain of Multiverse of Madness
Amazing! We are in for another fantastic ride with Marvel. So happy to jump on the Peach Bus for this ride!
I loved everything about this, but I was surprised by how much I missed the Howard Stark and Peggy Carter humor from Agent Carter. This was deeply satisfying.
That “death by snu snu” comment was hilarious. 😂
Died on the Death by Snu snu line hahaha
"ELDRITCH CRAOUNCH" made me spit out my water, lol.
Panda Hawkeye.
Eats, shoots and leaves.
11:16 Jay was channeling his inner El Risitas.
Took me a while to see this but you guys, Adam & Jay, were hilarious & spot on: "Damn, Peggy! Let the bodies hit the floor!!!"
omg, I just watched this reaction and laughed myself to tears at you guys reacting to the first big fight scene with the cars. Loved it!
Love the reaction guys. The action and imagery in this are something else. I really hope the rumours of Capt Carter being in future seasons of What If.. and in Multiverse of Madness are true.
Totally enjoyed this reaction. Especially, the joyful giggles from you guys.
Oh...a super soldier who comes out of the booth with actual combat training and a killer instinct. DAMN.
Happy 1 Year Anniversary to What If and Captain Carter!!!
I just realized that I now know of two different Captain Carters, and they're both badass sci-fi military science women 😂
I’m so glad you made the snoot snoot reference from futurerama
IBS Ironman is gonna be rushing to get out of that suit 🚽😂🤣😭
Rumor has it she's back in live action in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
Just watched this episode with a big grin on my face. And then came over here to watch the reaction. Yay!
HE SAID VESSEL WITH A PESTLE! I UNDERSTOOD THAT REFERENCE!
The Court Jester is one of the most underrated hidden gems of comedy.
Loved it. One thing though, there was so much packed into 1 episode. Every 5 minutes felt like highlights from a full length episode. How awesome would this have been if this was a 6 episode series? I mean then it wouldn’t be action from start to finish, but it would give us time to breathe.
Omg i love you guys. Your reactions are so open and honest. 👍 I have become a fan. 😊 The reaction to her fighting on the planes 😂🤣😂 lmao
"On your left!" Perfectly timed joke.
I swear, you guys have the best reaction. I was laughing as hard as you guys were. I can’t wait to see the rest of the episodes.
The real question we all have is, where can we purchase a BIG Perch & Cheddar?
Great adam can add Captain Carter t shirt to his marvel super soldier list lol
On it!!!! I’d totally rep Captain Carter!
I loved that Carter CRAWNCH! 💪🏼
"We're entering a death by snu snu situation." If I'd been drinking coffee it'd have shot out of my nose. Oh and that moon shot w Cpt. Carter flying across the moon totally came from "Houseki no Kuni" (best fight cinematography in all animation) which everyone needs to drop everything and watch right f*cking now. Also noted some choreo from Tartakovsky. (Samurai Jack/Clone Wars/Primal)
